I have tried many woks, including some from Amazon. They all start out great but over time things go wrong - non-stick coating comes off or just stops being non-stick being the main issues. So before going for a wok that requires seasoning I decided to give this one a try, and also wait before writing a review. So having used it quite frequently for six weeks, it is still the same as when it first arrived. Non stick still in place, all working fine. Heats up very quickly, although I am using a 3.3kw wok burner ... but still, much quicker than a standard frying pan. Meat flash-fries almost instantly, everything else perfect too.The wok itself is very sturdily built, and therefore a bit on the heavy side. Also as the handle is metal, I have found if I don't have the wok centred on the burner the handle can heat up, but that's easily solved by having the wok in the correct place on the gas hobIt does say dishwasher safe, but I wash it with warm/hot water only and pad dry with a towel. Hoping it stays like this for many stir-fries to come.>> UPDATE << It's been TWO YEARS and the wok is in the same condition I bought it in, completely non-stick. It has been used (and possibly abused) on a weekly basis, including cooking Vietnamese Caramel Ginger Chicken, a dish that had rendered one of my previous woks useless. Furthermore I now use it on a proper 7kw wok burner. So I would normally say "I would buy this again" ... except I won't need to.Cannot recommend this highly enough.>> UPDATE 2 (Jan 2017) << It's still with me, still as good as new. I cooked some Vietnamese orange chicken with lemongrass and posted some pictures.

Non-stick? You bet! Robust? Definitely! Worth the money? Every single last penny. Our first wok was a wedding present in 1996. A Ken Hom one. It was good. So when finally the non-stick started to stick, we bought another. For reasons best known to themselves, the manufacturers appear now to be using what can only be described as non-non-stick. In other words, it was completely useless after only a couple of occasions. My quest for a truly non-stick and robust (i.e. usable) wok began. I've tried my fair share. Even those which you oil, burn, re-oil and burn again. All to no avail. After much research, it appeared that this Kitchen Craft wok might, actually, do the trick. So I took a chance and bought one.Sadly, there aren't many products these days which do what they're supposed to. This one is a very welcome exception.Sturdy (with properly-attached handles), solid (this pan won't dent the first time you knock it against the kitchen tap) and, best of all, genuinely non-stick.Others report that the pan lasts for many years, and based on my use of it so far I've no doubt that it will.My conclusion? Don't waste time and effort on other products. Just buy one of these. You'll be glad you did!Originally reviewed in 2014, it's now 2019 -- and this pan is still as useable, and as non-stick, as it was when I bought it. Excellent!

This arrived yesterday, and I've only used it once, so this review covers initial impressions only - I can't comment on longevity! I was in two minds about whether to go for this or the smaller 30 cm version, but I'm glad I decided on the larger version; although I'm cooking mainly only for myself it's very helpful to have plenty of room to toss the food around while stir-frying, and I'm also going to get less spatter on my stove top. After reading some of the reviews I was worried about the weight, but it's nowhere near as heavy as I expected - probably about the same as any other 14 inch wok. The non-stick surface is excellent; for my first experiment (turkey and rice) I needed only a very small amount of oil,far less than I would have needed in my (admittedly old) Tefal stir-fry pan, which is now sticking quite badly. I didn't need to add any extra liquid either. The handle didn't heat up, by the way, although I didn't try touching the small handle on the other side.I'm very pleased with this; I've thrown away two old large woks and the Tefal pan will probably be going soon too.EDIT: four years later and the non-stick surface is wearing off in a few places. I have been looking for alternatives without non-stick coating, but I've decided that £22 for another four years use isn't bad value, so I've ordered the same again.

I have a glass ceramic hob. Before purchase I asked here if the Wok base was flat. All 5 responders said yes, but on recipt I can say that it's not. Actually it's slighty concave, the very middle bottom about 1mm higher than the bottom edge. Of course it looks flat, and it sits flat on a glass surface, but it is not in direct contact all the way across the base. Many will be perfectly OK with this and probably wouldn't even notice, but I want my Wok for stir fry and I want the maximum heat transfer possible. If it's not touching the heating surface, I'm not going to achieve that. For a non-stick version then, it looks like the ProCook aluminium Wok would be best for glass ceramic hobs.Being aluminium, the ProCook base is machined, you can see that on the photo's, and naturally then, it's absolutely flat. I will be keeping and using my Master Class; it certainly looks good quality, but if I knew then what I know now... In the meantime in any case, I continued my Wok research and I have discovered the very best option for glass ceramic is in fact a cast iron Wok. You have to treat it with care, seasoning, oiling, and gradual heating, but it does build up heat and continues sizzling as you add more food (the storage of heat makes up for the low BTU from the hob). And what a surprise, the Chinese expats use cast iron.

I cook a lot of oriental good and thus have used many woks before including the traditional carbon steel, cast iron ones, or the more modern teflon versions; some were quite expensive. This Master Class wok is the best one I have come across. The non-stick surface works better than other common coated versions; it is amazingly truly non-stick even when the food was slightly burnt.Initially I read review about it being heavy. I didn't mind it so much as a good wok normally weighs a bit. Now holding it in the hand, it is not as heavy as I thought - lighter than my 28cm stainless steel sauté pan. Another pleasant surprise is that it is actually quite thin, meaning that it gets heated up very quickly (and a good wok should do). Some other heavy duty woks I tried usually took a long time to heat up but this one functions more or less like a authentic oriental wok.The product description states that it is OK to use metal utensil on the surface, which is quite a nice surprise. I haven't quite challenged it with a metal turner yet but the surface does look stronger as it doesn't seem to be a mere layer of coating. Whatever material or process they used in making this wok seems to have achieved very good results. So far happy, hope it withstands the test of time. Am not considering buying the 24cm version as well.

It bills itself as professional and it gives that impression. It is solid and if you were cooking for several people the weight of the wok and the food may cause some people issues. However I only cook for myself and I have no problem with the weight. I believe quality cookware and induction cookware (I use an induction hob) does tend to be heavier. The non-stick surface is not like any I have experienced before. It's like magic. It feels very integrated into the body rather than being a coating. The first time I washed it the water poured out leaving the inside bone dry (there are some droplets left after washing now that oil has been in it).Food really doesn't stick even at high temperature.People say you can't get a non-stick wok hot enough for oriental cooking - I don't agree.Cooking for one I find the flat area a little big, but I don't think that reduces the cooking quality, and if you are cooking for several that would be all to the good I guess.I perceived what I made yesterday to taste different to how it did in my old wok, and an improvement to what was already delicious before.I bought this wok to replace my much used old one (that happened to work on induction, I used it twice every week for years) that had warped. I've dumped it.I'm in love with my new wok.

Outstanding quality! After reading the reviews I decided to go ahead and purchase this wok.Best decision I ever made! Having only ever used cheap supermarket variations I thought it was time to spend just a shade more on what appeared to be a good product. It arrived as promised and was packaged well if not a little excessive (the box was huge)!! Upon first inspection I thought it may be too large for my families needs but it wasn't. We have cooked stir fry, curry, chilli and a whole lot more and have been amazed by the quality. Some reviews have stated that the handle gets hot but I would say it gets no warmer than any other pan with a metal handle.Others said that this wok is heavy but in my opinion it feels like quality and with it's extra handle it can be lifted with ease.Unlike some other woks on the market there's no need to prime this one, you can use it straight from the box and cleaning is a breeze. Warm soapy water is all you need. It cleans first time every time.My only regret is that I didn't find this wok years ago.

I don't often leave reviews, but this wok is the real MVP. Aesthetically, it's not really a wok in the Asian sense (at least not by Thai standards), but it's great, and the non-stick finish is orgasmic. You'll enjoy cleaning this baby up. You'll also enjoy cooking in this. Suck at cooking? No problems. The elegant engineering of this wok will ensure your food is cooked thoroughly. If Gordon Ramsay found out about this, he probably wouldn't tell you because it's that good. It's like the One Ring from LotR... except it will bolster your existing cooking skills, and it'll make you hungry... for more cooking, and food of course. Is there an intruder in your property? No problems. This wok doubles as a home protection. It's heavy, and guaranteed to KO anyone you swing this towards. It probably wouldn't even dent after that. You should however, be concerned if you have a small sink, because you'll have trouble cleaning this titan in it. Nevertheless, be patient, and show it a lot of love. 10/10 would buy again.

I have never submitted a review but feel that this wok really deserves one. The build quality is fantastic and it is proper non stick, you can really use less oil. It washes very well in the dishwasher and I don't think it will degrade that much in doing this, which can be a problem for other items. The size is perfect and I only when for the medium 12" which is perfect for 2/3 people. This feels like a much more expensive item ! The heat is very even across the wok (watch the bubbles lol).Just with any wok remember that the because the wok is thin you need to use less heat so never set it to max on your hob 3/4 is more than enough and please don't let it sit too long without oil in it or your could damage it at extreme heat.If you are unsure on this then take the chance you will be delighted ! just read through the reviews. Due the quality of this wok I have started buying other master class products (i.e baking tray) and they all seem like professional quality products at fair prices.

This wok is great! It's very large and nicely weighty with a great non-stick coating - it allows me to easily make meals for the whole family without having to be really careful about spilling over the edge. I use this wok on an induction hob and it works perfectly - heating up very quickly and cooking food quickly and evenly. The handle of the wok feels very sturdy and I love the curved handle at the opposite side which makes it much easier to carry when full. As for cleaning - the non-stick coating is so good that so far I've not managed to weld any food to the pan at all(!), so it's extremely easy to wash.Although it is dishwasher safe I prefer not to put it through the dishwasher as it would take up most of the space and it's so easy to clean that I'd rather just give it a quick wash manually and not risk potentially damaging it in the machine.Overall I really like this wok and wish that I'd bought it years ago instead of struggling on with my old one. Recommended!

I received this wok for Christmas (after reading good reviews and specifically asking for this model) and so far it has not disappointed. We've had it for almost 6 months and used it a lot and so far it has lived up to the reviews. Nothing seems to stick on it it, so it washes up easily, it is a good size and feels good quality - it is also reassuringly heavy! However the weight can make it a bit heavy to wash up, but that problem is easily resolved by leaving the man of the house to wash it up instead ;-) You can also use metal cooking implements with it if you wish, which we have done occasionally. We also purchased the lid for it, which although doesn't fit it exactly (as I don't think this model comes with a matching lid)it does the job. Overall I would recommend this wok. We did quite a bit of research before buying it, as I've had one that lost its not stick coating pretty quickly.

It is surprisingly difficult to choose a Wok from the vast array of those available. Do you go for stainless steel or carbon steel, non-stick or standard, will it be too heavy or go rusty the first time you use it. Perhaps the food will stick to it and burn.Well after much consideration I bought this Wok and do you know what, it is a carbon steel, non-stick version and it works just great. The food didn't stick and it cleaned really easily after. Plus the non-stick coating really does look like it will last for the 10 year warranty period. It even says you can use metal utensils with it, but I prefer wooden anyway which should ensure a long and happy life.It is a little on the heavy side, being steel, but I am sure 95% of people will have no trouble with it. It is still perfectly manageable. All in all a great product for a good price and I am very happy with my purchase.

When over a hundred people already vouching for this wok in here... Why do I have to? Still! I feel so pleased with it that I feel almost compelled to add my own review nonetheless. It is, quite simply, the perfect wok. Best I've ever had... Although, in fairness, all my woks have always been inexpensive. However this makes me feel as if I'd spent £100's, and I just haven't this time either.Three months of use... And I'm starting to wonder how many years or perhaps decades will pass until I need to buy a new one. Great in my induction hob. I've been careful, but some very occasional errors, like gentle metal utensil use, have been made. It still looks in excellent condition. What is the best about it?In a couple of occasions I cooked with not a single drop of oil! Not a problem! Amazing!

have been using it for a few months now, as good as the first day., this replaced my previous two ceramic ones which went sticky after a few months. It is heavy, but it is big and good, and actually the weight is good and keeps it in place and allows me to use two wooden spoons to mix, but if you are into tossing your veg mix while cooking, you need strong arms!I used it last night and thought what a good product and i have to update my review! It is 2 years on now (november 2016) still going strong. I have been using it once a week at least, for 2 years, still looks as new with not a single scratch! Mind you i am a very careful user, never used metal utensils in it and have cleaned and washed it with hand every time (too big to go in the dishwasher!).
