This review is for 'Tefal 5 Piece, Comfort Max, Stainless Steel, Pots and Pans, Induction Set', as I see some of the other reviews are for a single pan.I'm very happy with the purchase, as I have been when using Tefal pans over the years. Most of my frying pans have been Tefal in the past, and I decided to get this set after my previous frying pan was showing signs of wear and tear after many uses (it was still working fine). This set has a pair of frying pans, which are identical apart from the difference in size. The handles have a good grip, as do the other three pans, and importantly the part you hold is raised above the level of the top of the pan. This matters particularly if you are using multiple pans on top of your oven at the same time, with lower handles being prone to becoming very hot to the touch. No such problem with any of these five Tefal pans. The pan handles all have a hole at the end, should you wish to hang them up to save storage space. The frying pans have proven to be non-stick after several uses each. The saucepans and milkpan are excellent too, a good variety of sizes as well. The smallest of them, the milkpan, does not come with a lid but does not really need it for heating small amounts of liquid. I tend to use it for boiling eggs and not much else, and it can handle several eggs and heats up quickly. I like that the lids on the saucepans are not round, but more ergonomically designed to allow you to grip them better. I often reduce frozen blackcurrants in my saucepans and this tends to leave a quite sticky purple residue all over the bottom of the pan. It's also quite a good indicator with regards to how easy a pan is to clean. These Tefal saucepans pass the test as a bit of washing up liquid and water gets them clean without too much effort. Poor quality saucepans would be far more difficult to get clean if covered in blackcurrant residue. All in all, hard to find fault with these pans and I would recommend them.

This is a great value non-stick pan. You may see from similar reviews around this time that I had a ceramic "no oil" pan set I'd bought from a shopping channel. I'd say within a year these had started to fail and everything started to stick to them, even with oil in the pan.A needed a larger (24cm+) and smaller 20cm pan to replace the defective items. This was the smaller of the pans I bought.I revisited standard non-stick technology for my pans after having a less than satisfactory foray into ceramics. After searching and reviews, this one seemed to fit the bill:- non-stick- well made- reputable brand- high sided a bonusSo how does it fair in almost daily use?First and foremost the non-stickability (?)of this pan is brilliant. It has a hot spot indicator identifying when the pan is at the correct temperature to start cooking. I've had no issue with bacon and sausages etc. with no oil. Obviously silicone utensils are a must with these pans to ensure the coating is not compromised.Cleaning was easy - a soapy rinse and drying with kitchen towel and it was good to go againIt's a really sturdy feeling pan, even though it's only 20cm, It feels good quality, not heave at all, and the handle it comfortable in useIt's Tefal - has a 10 year guarantee. NiceIt has quite a high angle side - just like a skillet pan. I find these preferable to the more shallower style frying pansI'm really impressed with this pan. It's a pleasure to use as I know that I'm not going to have any dramas with it around the issues of food sticking and tricky to wash up. I believe these pans can go into the dishwasher, but I've seriously never had to do that - once the foods out the pan, there's never more than easy to rinse residue.Anyway, for the price this is a great pan to have. It's is only 20cm in diameter which will handle single portions quite easily - but obviously it's not really designed for family sized cooking.

Bought this one to replace my old Tefal frying pan which had lasted me about 8 years. I read the reviews about food burning on to the pan and also food sticking to the pan. I've not experienced that at all. Here's what I've done:-1) Get the pan out of the packaging and wash it in warm soapy water with a sponge then dry it completely.2) Heat it up gently and not too hot (I have an induction hob with 1-14 levels so I've used 8, 9 and 10 at the most).3) DO NOT USE OIL or FRY LITE4) Use silicone cookware (spatulas, etc.) to protect the pan5) Allow the pan to cool down before washing it in warm soapy water with a sponge then drying it completely.Even though it says it's dishwasher safe,it cleans so easily it's just not worth putting it in and chancing it with the dishwasher detergent. So far I've made pancakes, fried eggs, stir-fried vegetables, cooked sticky pork and made bubble & squeak in the pan. Not once has anything stuck to the pan or burned onto the pan. Even the sticky pork (with a marinade on it made of honey with ginger and spices) was fine and didn't stick.Bottom line is - look after the pan and clean it in the sink. You'll have a great non-stick pan to use time and time again. I've been so impressed with it so far that I've bought the matching sauté pan (with lid) from Tefal.

This is a good quality frying pan, although it is a heavyweight even when empty, so may not be suitable for anyone with a weaker grip or RSI as it will be quite cumbersome if filled to capacity.I found it a delight on the hob and, once it has reached temperature, the thick base ensures it stays hot and cooks evenly. The handle stays cool as long as you keep it away from the heat source and it incorporates a hole for hanging.Care is easy as I have found nothing sticks as long as you are sensible and don’t use too high a heat. You start with hand washing the new pan and then add a smidge of oil. Continued hand washing is recommended; although putting it through a dishwasher is fine, you need to be careful about your choice of detergent to avoid damaging the surface, so I would probably continue to wash by hand for the sake of longevity. This is a large pan and it will be space hungry in a dishwasher in any event. It is a good frying pan that should give years of service, as long as you look after it. Neatly boxed for gifting and it would be a good housewarming, wedding or engagement gift (or any other gift type for that matter).

This is a pan. It is made by Tefal. It is used in my kitchen by me.It's probably the best ever frying pan I've had to be honest. And I've had a few, I'll tell you!The non-stickness is very non-sticky. I haven't as yet had anything stick to it - and I'm a rubbish messy cook that usually has stuff stick to their pans. There's this red dot bit in the middle to tell you when it is hot and that too. You don't need it because after a short while of putting a pan on some heat it gets hot. Anyone can tell you that. I didn't quite trust the dot and put my finger on it to see if it actually was hot. It was hot. And it only took about a week for my fingerprint to return. What else? It has a handle. Its quite a nice handle. It does things like letting you use to handle to handle the pan and not much else. I guess it is a comfortable handle, as far as frying pan handles go. The pan has a nice weight to it. It gets hot and has a red dot. Oh, I already said that. It has some non-stickiness stuff that works like a magician has blessed it to never be sticky, but I already covered that too. It's a pan, alright. What more do you want to know?!

I love Tefal products!I have three Tefal frying-pans because my wife is Canadian and likes to cook pancakes on the weekend.Because of our induction hob, I have to get pots and pans for induction use. Most pans that are for induction use, that aren't steel or cast iron, are made of an aluminium alloy and have ferrous metal dots in the base to make them Induction ready. These small dots heat up and that heats the aluminium. It wasn't until I got this one that we realised how inefficient the induction ready aluminium pans are.My wife placed the three frying-pans on the hob, all Tefal products, so all set to 5...She poured out three equal lots of batter...Having years of experience, she know when they are ready to flip over...Shock horror! One pan had overly browned, almost burnt the pancake! Yes, it was the stainless one...!!!Now she cooks with two pans on 5 and this one on 2...This pan is more efficient, it cooks with less power and does a better job on induction hobs.

My review only relates to the 30cm induction frying pan, specifically used on an induction hob.The main feature of this pan is the very thick and heavy base. This makes it the best non cast iron pan I have used on my induction hob and in fact is the only frying pan that has ever worked on the largest ring on my hob.I've only used it 4 or 5 times to date so I can't vouch for it's longevity but it appears to be excellent quality. There are no rivits on the inside of the pan which makes the entire inside, non stick. The handle remains cool throughout the cooking process.I would have liked to purchase a smaller pan but I notice that when you select one the word "induction" doesn't appear so I'm reluctant to order one to find out it doesn't have the same solid base.To conclude,If you have an induction hob and want a pan that is as near to a cast iron one without the complications then this is for you.

I like my quality and expensive pans because they should be with you forever. Cheap and nasty pans do not support good cooking - I'm not a chef but just enjoy cooking and this is a personal and experienced view. I have bought Tefal over the years because they were cheap. The red dot in the middle did nothing for me. I always felt that, because they were cheap. they were of poor quality - and don't get me wrong, a lot of the surfaces they did were. HOWEVER - what a pan!!! I needed a non-stick larger pan for a large family paella and there are not many out there with a bit of depth. I LOVE this pan!!! It is big. It is REALLY non-stick - nothing sticks to its internal surface and it is lightweight (for its size).RECOMMEND? - 100%. PROBLEMS? - None. It is big, deep and distributed heat perfectly. Massively impressed with how better Tefal have become.

We had had this over 40 days now so it has actually lasted the cheap ones we always buy for a tenner. A good sign so far.It is solid and appears well made with some weight to it. Just hop it lasts at least 3 times longer than the cheapos to justify the 3 times the price. We shall see. But we are actually optimistic.AN UPDATE:Well nearly 18 months on and after being used at least 4 times per week it is still going strong. The very middle will stick eggs to it if you let them stay there, but the rest is still all 100%. To be honest the only reason the middle is starting to stick a little, is because it has been scratched and burnt by the hob and cleaning. It cost 3 times as much as normal ones which barely lasted a month. So I would say it is a good one and I would definitely buy another.

This is superb for the money - it's hefty and solid and the stainless steel looks really high quality with high chromium content. 5 Stars for the product, but zero stars for Amazon's description, which says it's 8.2cm deep. Naturally I assumed this was supposed to be the depth of the pan, but it turns out that's the height to the highest part of the handle from the surface you stand the pan on. The pan itself is only 5cm deep, which was not enough for my needs. To compound the error, the picture provided appears to be not of the 30cm pan, it is of one of the smaller pans from the same range, hence the sides look deeper on the picture than they actually are.Attached is a picture of the actual 30cm item.

For what they are this is a really nice set, more-so when you consider the individual price of the frying pans in this range. They work on my induction hob without any problem and wash up well too.Just bear in mind that the largest saucepan is not exactly big (at just under 18cm) but since I already owned suitable larger (and draining) pans, these suited my needs.I don't think they would had I not already had larger, family-friendly saucepans or if you're a little obsessed about having everything matching because I can't fin larger saucepans available. The decider for me though was the frying pans, because I happen to like using Tefal frying pans.Overall,a great set and reasonably good value.

Well I was worried with some of the reviews but this pan turned out to be great! The non-stick is fabulously non-stick for real. It is nicely heavy and feels great. The handle is comfortable and overall I like using the pan for any sort of frying and stirfrying. It really conducts the heat really well despite being stainless steel. I definitely recomment it if you are looking for something heavier, steel, and non-stick. However, as a few commenters have noted the pan comes a bit larger on the top so 26cm lid is small for it. I measured 28cm so I'm glad I did not order a lid for it as well. My suggestion just get the pan first and then decide if you need a lid and measure it before youorder.

Despite notes from Amazon that it might take time, the set of Stainless Steel Tefal pans arrived ahead of the indicated delivery date. These are great pans, comfortable to use, and well balanced. They clean really easily, in and out of the dishwasher. Note that the stainless steel does discolour slightly inside, but this is natural, and does not detract from how good these pans are, and look. This is the second set of these Tefal pans I have bought (first set was from Tesco). The original set was only the 3 saucepans. This second set from Amazon was slightly cheaper, and includes the 2 frying pans, which are non-stick coated. A great deal, and I would thoroughly recommend them.

Photos do not do this pan justice. This is a proper heavy duty stainless steel pan. Feels professional. It connects to induction stove perfect. No clicking, ticking or zzzzzzzing. The non stick is better than any pan i have owned. I would normally sear a steak in cast iron pan, but after perfectly browning a chicken breast in this, that might change. The 26cm makes a perfect 4 egg omelette. It's even perfect for making simple pasta sauces for 2 people. Thought I would prefer a steel handle but the rubber is great, and it reminds you not to put the pan in the oven. (Teflon no go oven! Very bad!)

Thank goodness for Tefal!!. Over the past years I had a Le Creuset frying pan which ended up with the coating peeling off and which was very heavy. I then invested in a Woll which ended up sticking in the middle and also was very heavy. I decided to go back to good old Tefal. The non stick is unbeatable in my opinion. The pan is sturdy but without being excessively heavy. The price is so favourable compared with the 2 other brands I used, but it's the non stick which pleases me most - very little oil is needed. I couldn't believe how good it was the first time I used it! Very happy customer!!
