Genuine ken wood, very well made quality replacement. Before this one I had the plastic type version and although lasted over 20 years had reached the end of its life. No handles on this model, although not a great issue. The whisk attachment touches the bottom when in operation, however other attachments do not.n the noise with the whisk is a little annoying, although it is reassuring to know that You are not consuming the plastic lining of the original model that gradually wore away over the years. Being metal it retains the heat if you need to warm beforehand, with say hot water. This is not a cheap item, although will last for ever and more hygienic that the plastic versions.

Seeing that I often use warm water when baking our bread I realized that the previous plastic bowl, as all other plastic bowls, release synthetic chemicals either in form of hormones or other substances not meant for living organisms I happily replaced this by this stainless steel one and recommend everyone else to do the same. Some years ago there were nearly any plastic on this planet now we are drowning in it.
