I was looking for a chainring for my gear hub bike, one that wouldn't wear out quickly like the alloy chainrings. It looks nice and was true (perfectly round). I have a direct chainline from chainring to sprocket with no tensioners or deraileurs so I needed a quality chainring that would produce no slack spots like some alloy rings I have tried.Great product at a reasonable price. Maybe a bit heavier but the rider could lose a few pounds so I will work on that.

I bought this to replace an Shimano AL 34t inner chain ring on a compact double. The AL chain ring wore out after about 2K commuter miles so I decided to go with all SS. No perceptible chain suck, shifts fine. I'll update this posting when I finally wear it out, so if you don't see an update, assume it's still going strong and I ride about 5K a year.BTW, the outer chainring is a

These are the best chain rings I have used.They are a little heaver than the original alloy but the stainless steel will not wear out any time soon and unlike steel will not ever rust ,a big concern hear in Long Beach NY.Fit my FSA 110 light crank set perfectly.
