This is an optional filter media which replaces the black carbon sponge. It does a good job judging by how active and healthy my fish appear. I mainly got it as you can buy carbon & zeolite granules in bulk to refill the box rather than pay out for the expensive juwel sponges. Saves money and keeps the tanins and toxins out of the water. I also noticed a bit of a reduction in the classic aquarium smell from the water.

I put one of these in my Rio 125 because I;d got a bit lazy with maintenance and wanted to get back on track. I put it in at the same time as a water change. When the lights came on a few hours later I was amazed! I didn't expect such a result in such a short time. The water is crystal clear. Well worth buying. I will be using this all the time now.

Amazing - I have struggled with slightly cloudy water for a few months now (Juwel Lido 120) - this Carbax is optional according to Juwel. It's essential if you ask me. Within 24 hours of easy fitting the water was crystal cleear - oddly enough, it seems to keep getting clearer. It's fantastic. So glad I bought this. Will deffo buy again

Juwel products cheaper on here than in major outlets, I choose always to buy Juwel brands, not copies as I know I can trust them. It only took 12 months but have found out that by syphoning the bottom of my 'fixed' filter housing, reduces the amount of water removed/replaced each change!

Results within the hour as soon as I installed this filter into my aquarium. Provides crystal clear water for my Juwel Rio 125 aquarium. Amazon is not the cheapest to buy from so you may want to shop around, I needed next day delivery so I decided to use Amazon Prime.

fits in to my filter in my fish tank one of for filters in the tank and does the job with helping filtering out my tank will continue to use again better than the sponge filters

Looks good and is very neat. Only lasts 2 months which makes it a little expensive compared to the usual media. No more to say.

Hoping this will replace the carbon filter foam,will monitor how good it is,previous reviewers are positive so fingers crossed.

Really noticed the difference when I stopped using this for a few days. It keeps the water really bright and clear.
