My moggies have been eating Iams for 10yrs or more, and thrive on it. It's a complete diet in itself, so you don't need to feed them 'wet' cat food as well -- although mine do appreciate a bit of variety and the odd sachet of something juicy, too.You don't need to feed cats very much Iams -- portion sizes are quite small -- and it's easy to over-feed, so you have to be a bit careful that you don't end up with fat cats!Iams pellets are ideal for cats who live indoors and use litter trays; there's less to clean up and it's much less smelly/offensive.You MUST ensure that your cats have plenty of water available, however. It's also worth bearing in mind that some of the more specialised varieties cna get quite expensive.Always check the 'price per kilo'. Bigger bags are generally cheaper BUT my cats do get bored with eating one flavour for a long time. So you may need to get a couple of properly airtight tins so you can buy big bags at low prices, and swap between varieties to keep cats happy. And you definitely need airtight tins: the bags are resealable but the seal isn't perfect, and it seems that some of the flavour escapes over time, which again makes the food less interesting for the felines.Another thing I have noticed is that when I've tried the cats on own-brand supermarket dried foods, after eating Iams, they have been far less keen. Sometimes it's a struggle to get the cats to eat other brands... so be aware that they may get very familiar with Iams, and then not want to eat much else!8/10

We have a Ragdoll who a) sheds like crazy and b) is very picky about food. We used to feed him Purina one but I think the ingredients aren’t the best so decided to change. I got him the regular Iams dry food at first but he started coughing up hairballs (the purina was greasy enough for him to not have hairballs but apparently the regular Iams is not) so we decided to try the hairball prevention and he immediately stopped having hairballs. I think if you have a cat like mine with long hair that it’s imperative that you get some food like this as hairballs can be really bad for them. His coat quality is lovely too so it doesn’t affect that at all.He also really loves the chicken flavour he tries to stuff his mouth with as much of it in one bite as he can lol. Overall love this product.

It’s very well priced and my cats seem to love it. I’ve definitely seen a reduction in hairballs which is very good too! I love been feeding this to my cats for around 6 months now, it’s best to slowly introduce new food to them rather than doing an overnight switch. Overall this seems very good, they’re always happy to eat it. Don’t eat it all in one go and throw up. It’s reduced their hairballs and it’s very reasonably priced (especially if you use subscribe and save and get an extra 15% discount).

My fussy boys tolerate changes in food rarely. They also are absurdly fussy. They tolerated this change and for about three days seemed to enjoy these biscuits before they regained their senses and reverted to type by turning their noses up. I can’t stress enough that this is a positive review. It is my cats who are negative, not the product. But I’m still alive and they’re still associating with me so I’d definitely try this again.

We have a cat with a heart condition and a wheat allergy. She used to throw up daily when using the very expensive James Wellbeloved dry food. With this she has not been sick since day one! Quite amazing and her skin is certainly no worse. Well recommended. ENSURE water always available as they don't half drink after eating dry food - milk is no good it must be water. Only 3 stars for flavour - how on earth do I know?! :-)

I brought this food for my cat because she had a lot of hairballs and alot of food I tried made her sick. Since feeding her iams I've noticed an improvement in her overall health. She also has FIV and which causes her to have a runny nose and coughing fits but these seem less frequent now. I am so glad I brought her this food she seems much happier and her fur is super soft now! Would definalty recommend!

Catfood is good bite size chunks allowing our cats easy eat at their leasure. I will.say however that we've found proplan and royal canin to be better quality and the cats seem to agree. However this is a good value for money product which is a good substitute and can also be mixed in with higher brands as a filler if you feel. This catfood keeps very well, we keep ours in a clean black bin with lid.

great offer for Iams Hairball Control food. Huge bag of food. A lot larger than I thought it would be. Bag was approx. 600mm tall, 300mm wide, 200 mm in depth. very heavy bag of food. great value. will definitely be ordering more. Only one criticism, with the bag so large, limited places to store it. But I would really recommend people to purchase the food by this company. great savings. Thank you

My cat just turned 10 years old and had been having some issues with hairballs. She really enjoys these biscuits and they are now the only biscuits I give her as she enjoys them so much. I have noticed a reduction in the number of hair balls/coughing fits she has so I think they do a good job. Have been buying these biscuits for the last 8 months or so now, and will continue to do so! :)

We have tried our Ragdoll on many hairball foods. She cannot eat wet food as she gets sick so we are dry only with her. This food she seems to enjoy and her weight and coat condition has remained the same, she also does not throw up on this! The coat condition of my Maine Coon however is not as good so we are trying a different food with him but for her sickness it works.

Two long furry rag dolls boys. Hair ball galore even after daily brushing. Iv started feeding this. I’m slowly mixing in with their old food. So far so good, no hair ball and it’s been three weeks now.no more washing up vomit and fur.I like it and so does my boys.Yep over a month now. A few hair balls but not much. There in 50/50 now.

The wife suggested I bu6 these hairball biscuits for a persistent tickle cough I had, I wasn’t sure at first but thought the cats could eat them if they didn’t work. They worked a treat, no more niggling cough for me, however I now have a tendency to climb trees and lay in the most awkward place possible. Nice full chicken flavour.

Something in this stuff stops the cat from coughing up hairballs - which mine did regularly before I bought this. My cat is only allowed a little - which is enough to work - due to bladder stones - he eats wet food most of the time. Of course, because he's only allowed a small handful, he begs for more - typical, just like humans!

It takes my cat about a year to much through a bag of these - great value. This is our third bag now and she still loves them. I was worried that the product would deteriorate over the course of the 12 months but it doesn't seem to and the cat doesn't mind. We no longer have "the cat has run out of food" emergencies too.
