After watching videos and reading reviews out the wazoo, I finally pulled the trigger on one of these signature series removable blade bad boys.1. Was well packaged. The retail box was inside a box and that box was also inside a box. 3 boxes and was factory sealed.2. I chose the Kit Fisto for the green blade.3. After placing batteries in the hilt I fired it up and there were no issues with the blade. It lit up evenly with the exception of the last 10 inches or so. I could see the segments of the individual LEDs in the end of the blade more than I could the first few feet. Not a big deal, and was not noticeable in the dark.4. The sound was acceptable. The effects sounded pretty good to my ear,although a little more volume would be nice.5. Motion sensor was my biggest gripe. As mentioned in a lot of other reviews, it didn't register side to side or up and down tilts very well. I'm sure I will eventually figure out what triggers the sensor and concentrate on those types of movements, but for the $ this should not be as much of an issue as it is.6. Removing and replacing the blade was pretty easy. I like what they did here. When the blade is mounted, I had no sense that it was wobbly, loose or not secure.7. the belt clip is nice. Does what it's supposed to.All in all, I like the saber and am not experiencing buyers remorse. I just wish the sound was a little louder and that the motion sensor system was more accurate.

Pros:Well, overall this is a brilliant product. I bought it as a display piece (displaying hilt only) and it does this perfectly. I chose this one in particular because in my opinion it is the most iconic of the lightsaber designs with the most influential history in the saga.(The luke one is mostly the same, some would argue that the minor differences are important)The hilt is very well designed and manufactured. It has a good weight and I believe an accurate size. I don't really care about the blade/light/noise part but these are all impressively done. Dismantling only takes a few seconds. It has an impressive finish and feels like a quality product.Shipping from amazon (YUK)was fast and professional.Cons:Frustratingly mine has a very small MINOR dint in the hilt. I do not know if I have just been unlucky or if they have quality problems. For the price I wouldn't have expected that. In mine there is also a VERY faint (hardly noticeable) splattering of discolouration. I guess I will just chalk it up to 'Battle damage'.There are some plastic pieces, the inner-shroud of the emitter and the activation button in particular.Additionally, they decided to plaster it with 4 stickers. This would have been fine except they're the kind of stickers that leave a residue and don't peel off properly. I had to spend about an hour polishing it after removal.Because of this I have rated 4 stars. Otherwise it would have been 5.

The price seems to fluctuate by as much as 30% on here so I'd wait until it goes down. Other than that, the product is made from nice durable materials in the main - has a good weight having a metal hilt although the power on/off button is incredibly cheap looking and feeling which stands out badly against the great feel of the hilt it sits on.As the LEDs are placed throughout the length of the blade they come on in sequence which really creates the power on and off look from the movies really well. The lighting effect means that the blade seems to extend from the hilt and retract into it when turned on and off which is great (obviously it doesn't but in the dark it sure does look that way)!Theblade itself is bright and the LEDs are clear.Quick tip: the clash sound did not work when I got this powered up for the first time. After some research I discovered that you need to train the lightsabre to react to impacts by using it. Sure enough after a while of banging it gently into a convenient softish surface the clash sound started to work.

For thirty years my favorite Lightsaber... Yes, I had a favorite Lightsaber far and away... Was Luke's from return of the Jedi.... Until my wife and kids gave me this one.Of course I love it because it was a thoughtful sentimental gift from my family, but in addition to that (since I Know that won't matter to the reader) (lol), it is truly a nice design as a saber on its own. I don't really care much about kit fisto as a character one way or the other but whoever designed his saber did a really nice job on it, at least to my taste. All silver, nice shape, just the right amount of lines, minimalistic and sleek.... And with a green blade! Love it!On top of the elegant simple design,add in exceptional build quality, it being a practically entirely metal hilt, and the vividness of the blade....and it's just fantastic. Even the sound is nice. A really nice tone. I absolutely love it and it is my new all time favorite saber design.... After over thirty years! That's saying something.Unbelievable!

The product itself is as expected. The sounds don't always respond with precision, but for this price, you can't expect perfection. Otherwise, I am pleased with the item itself. The stand was a nice touch.The reason this item loses a star is because of the horrible stickers that are all over the hilt. Not only are there 5 of them for no good reason (this is a very simple device that a child could figure out, even without the included instructions) but they are the kind that tear no matter how carefully you try to remove them, and they leave behind a nasty, sticky residue. The only way I was able to clean this sticky gunk off was by very carefully wiping a paper towel soaked with Goo Gone over the affected areas repeatedly,being very careful not to touch any of the rubber rings, and then rinsing THAT nasty smell away with a wet paper towel, and drying it off with a dry paper towel. What a needless pain in the butt.

Great Lightsaber, used by Anakin Skywalker from Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005). This Lightsaber did in fact got taken from Anakin by Obi Wan Kenobi after their dual. Then the next story, Episode IV: A New Hope (1977) aka the original Star Wars movie, Obi Wan "Ben" Kenobi then gave it to the 19 year old Luke Skywalker to practice. Then in Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Luke then dual with Darth Vader himself in the most epic revealed scene in the history of cinema. Darth Vader cut Luke's right hand off along with his Lightsaber. That's the end of the story of this variant of the Lightsaber. I call this Lightsaber, "The Skywalker".Packing was awful, was not packed in an brown delivery box.But came as like you've picked it up from Forbidden Planet store. Apart from that, this Lightsaber is cool a 10/10 all parts in it's packaging box.

Arrived quickly, works OK. Has a few issues such as the knob you turn to turn the lightsaber on is very loose and seems likeIi could pull it out of the handle but yet takes some effort to actually get it to turn and click. Also, when turning off, the blade disappears from the top and when it reached the base, the bottom most set of lights flash back on for a split second and then go off. Just little knit-picky things my other sabers don't do but wasn't worth sending it back since I already had taken off all the stickers off the hilt like i do with all my sabers. Makes them look better when on display and less like toys.

I purchased this saber from Amazon on sale and, for the price ($99), it's a great deal. The hilt is all metal construction and that the blade is removable is an awesome touch. I own a number of Force FX blades and consider this one and the Darth Maul to be best constructed of the removable blade sabers.To satisfy my own curiosity, I'd love to understand how Amazon determines some of their pricing. Yesterday (12/19/13), this blade cost $99.99. Today, it costs a whopping .02 more and is $100.01. What's that about?

I love this saber! After a friend bought Darth Mauls saber and my brother Bought Obi Wans, I just had to buy Vaders saber. It is amazing, the quality is just perfect. The sound effects are great, the blade is durable and the weight of the hilt and saber feels nicely balanced. I'd recommend this item to any star wars fan. The blade arrived very quickly! There was a few dints in the box which might of happened during transport but other than that, its perfect.

This one is better than the "standard" FX lightsaber in that it comes with a belt clip and a different power supply, which doesn't work. Had to use the power supply from my standard lightsaber to get this one to work.Pros:Awesome soundMovie quality lookCons:Power supply didn't workIf you have two, they do not line up perfectly

Awesome. I got it for my son this past Christmas as well as an Obi Wan. He loves them both. The detail and quaility are nice. I like to play with it myself. Not for younglings though, im sure they could break the blade fairly easy. It will take a few "mistake" hits againt a wall though. Recommended!

One really aggravating thing that got me is the stickers they put on the light saber. These stickers are a pain to get off and the residue is still there after you remove them. That's the only reason I have rated this 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, it's great !!

Amazing! So good I bought the second one to connect them for my double-bladed lightsaber. These are the best you can get for Star Wars replica Lightsabers. I have three now (-=(and yes, I know I'm wearing my Darth Vader mask with my Darth Maul saber.. sorry)

It is as shown and as expected. This is my 4th lightsaber from the collection and it's really cool. Removable blade, firm design. The handle is quite simple but is as it is shown, so you shouldn't have any dissapointments.
