[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Some substantial changes from the previous model, but unfortunately not all are good. I'm neutral on the completely self contained bladder compartment. On the bright side any leakage is now unlikely to affect the main compartment. However, this wasn't really a problem for me, and the downside is increased bulk due to the separate zipper and dividing wall. It's a couple of litres larger, which also is both a pro and a con, and I actually felt the 22l previous model was perfect. Sure it's nice to be able to carry more, but it was also pretty nice when the bag would force you not to, which meant it always stayed comfortable. On the full upsides,I like the larger soft pouch, and the mesh that provides improved back ventilation. There were also two changes that really disappointed me. First, there is no longer a space for you to tuck away the waist belt under the waist/hip pouches, which is a real pain. Most of the time I'm not moving so aggressively that I need the waist belt, and having the waist belts flopping all over the place is silly. Second, all the straps used to have little elastic loops to secure the dangling portions and keep everything tidy. For no reason I can comprehend these small but really handy additions have been removed. Overall still a solid bag, but those two complaints I have overall makes me feel that it easily could have been better, which is frustrating and caused me to dock a star.

This is my first day pack that I have bought specifically for hiking. I have taken it over 25 hikes since buying it this year. I love the mesh back and the construction of the pack. The internal frame moves with you as you walk/ hike. I love the adjustable back so I can dial it in to my anatomy. A lot of space is available in the main compartment for all the 10 essentials and then some. The reason I rated this as 4 star is because there are some features I wished it had. I wish the mesh back was a trampoline style so it has better air flow. I use the compression straps to hold my water bottle in place. The compression straps could use a buckle on them that can be snapped on and off instead of loosening or tightening them every time to get something out.A rain cover is what is really missing from this back. Overall, I really do love this pack and I am very happy with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my new day hike pack. Overall I like it! Comfortable and the belly strap is big enough for my belly!!! A problem with many other small packs. There are a bunch of pro's like weight, construction, accessibility of pockets. The Con's that I've found so far are: 1) The zippers on the waist belt are hard to open, the stick and it takes two hands one to hold the fabric and one to pull the zipper. 2) Inside, I wish there was a little more internal organization, something with a couple of organizer pockets in the front. 3) No integral rain cover. I'd take a couple of more ounces and a couple of more dollars to get these added features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For my first use I took this pack up an 11,000 ft peak over 14 miles or so, and it had an excellent overall feel, and all the right features I was looking for. Side pouches for munchies & dog treats, loops for keeping my poles in place until needed up top, plenty of space inside for crampons, a rain few layers, first aid kit, etc... The soft pouch up top is nice for phones and sunglasses, and I love the ability to strap my sunglasses down on the front as well. It it plenty adjustable, lightweight, and very comfortable. Big fan on day one. Happy trails!

I purchased this pack about a year ago. I have used it hikes and a carryon and it has held up well. This pack is just the size for me as it holds all that is needed for day hikes. When traveling it holds my tablet and a spare set of clothing, over ear headphones and other items. I also use it when out and about at my favorite destinations.

I've had this pack for about two years and I love it. It feels super balanced, like an extension of your center of gravity. The suspension is decent for loads typical of an all day adventure and the back is fairly breathable and really molds to your body. I would ten out of ten recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bag is a good size capacity for casual hiking. I disliked the material in the top brain zip, its sticky and doesn't protect goods usually in those pockets. A good alternative would have been a microfiber cloth pocket material. #sweepstakes

Only used it a couple of times so far. Can’t do cartwheels over it but it does what it is intended to do. Wanted a daypack with hip belt to ad stability when hiking uneven ground and this pack fit my needs. The adjustable harness really fine tuned the fit for a custom feel. So far, so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased with the intention of converting it into a fly fishing pack. After several trips now, everything has lived up to the expectations. It has enough room for all my gear on day trips but not so bulky it feels big on your back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice day pack. I wanted something in this size with a good waistebelt. It's very comfortable, carries weight well. For me the only improvement would be bigger zippered pockets, especially the internal mesh pocket.

Used this as my primary pack on a seven day hike through the Scottish highlands. Pack has good capacity and is comfortable to wear on extended days on the trail. Would have like a few more options for storage of smaller items.

Miwok 24 is a great pack for day hikes. Easy access and it feel like it is part of your body as you move. I used it this summer in Sedona, Death Valley NP and Valley of Fire, great pack.
