Very slight disaleignment on opening snib and one has to twist thumb &index finger slightly clockwise for it to lock open. No problem for me but my daughter turned the umbrella inside out three times trying to get it to stay up. Great product keeps me dry,doubles as a walking stick and my daughter will not nick it!

Lovely strong umbrella, sat on the end of the pier in the wind and rain and it held its shape. Only small criticism is the finish on the handle, we dropeit yesterday and the finish chipped, perhaps would be better made of a plastic laminated material but otherwise a lovely umbrella would recommend.

at last an umbrella that looks as if it will stand up to the weather. Looks very smart as well and good for walking.
