Purchased directly from Amazon, the battery I received was a genuine Fujifilm branded item. I had the choice of cheaper OEM versions of course, but I've experienced quality issues with budget power sources in the past, and since my X-T2 is an expensive piece of kit I prefer to play it safe and use the original, especially as Amazon sell it at a decent discount. As many Fuji fans will know, this battery pack won't keep your camera powered for as long as some may like, especially if you're using burst mode, power boost or a lot of flash or screen time. But that's not the fault of the battery, which was designed to be smaller in order to keep the camera bodies pleasingly compact.I've developed the habit of automatically powering down my camera when I'm not using it, and that makes a huge difference. With the power grip attached and a total of three batteries I get an entire day of shooting. You may have noticed that Fujifilm sell two different batteries with very similar codes: the NP-W126S, and the older NP-W126. This newer and upgraded 'S' variant has additional electronic circuitry inside that protects it against over-heating in high drain situations, and is also said to improve current output. If you do use a non original battery your Fuji camera will warn you it isn't genuine. You can override the warning and choose to continue, but I it will invalidate your camera warranty if problems ensue.

At first, I thought I would save money by getting a couple of third-party (Ansmann NP-W126) batteries at a fraction of the price being asked for the real thing. Big mistake. When I fitted them to my Fujifilm X-T2 Vertical Power Booster Grip and plugged it in for charging, the grip's dedicated charger showed flashing LEDs to denote a charging fault. Got a couple of these Fujifilm NP-W126S batteries instead, and they charged perfectly.I don't know if the issue I experienced was related to use of the third-party batteries in a the grip rather than the X-T2 itself, but I learned my lesson. Having spent many hundreds of pounds on this excellent camera, trying to cut corners with the batteries was a waste of time and money (although I am keeping the Ansmanns as spares for use in the camera if needed).

Only dead batteries are free of charge! All puns aside, this is a great battery. Everyone knows mirrorless camera's don't last as long on a charge as a DSLR, but this is still a good quality battery. It's always a good idea to have a spare, and if you are going to be shooting for extended periods of time, a vertical battery grip.I have an X-T3 and the vertical grip to accompany it, so I have 3 batteries in total. I use this setup for night photography and if I am doing an extended event/wedding. They've never let me down yet and I'm happy with them. Also you can get them for a bargain price on here sometimes, <£40!

Although manufacture's batteries are rarely good value, they do guarantee performance. I have tried a number of 3rd party batteries for my current Fuji camera the X-T3 and they have all failed prematurely. The Fuji batteries last easily for 2 to 3 years and maintain up to 80% of their life until they basically do not take a charge. I buy new batteries yearly in general, but have not had to do so with these batteries (I have been using Fuji cameras since the release of the X -T1). Thoroughly recommended and the only way to guarantee performance for Fuji cameras.

These are very good value and are original Fuji batteries. My XT20 Fuji doesn't discriminate and takes any battery but when I put a non Fuji battery into the XT3 it says "not a NP-W126X battery your camera will lack power", every time you turn it on. With theses batteries its fine and no warning comes up. The non NP Fuji batteries I now put in the Fuji XT20 and it won't complain. They last similar time anyway. All small batteries run out quite quickly its physics, so its best to get a battery pack.

Great value original Fuji battery, bought while at £39.99. Bought from Amazon directly, not marketplace, and it is a genuine Fuji battery - there are fake NP-W126S batteries out there. I have some third party batteries, which work fine in the X-T2, but having just got an X-T3 as well, in order to utilise it fully, original W126S are needed. The camera checks at switch on and a warning message appears if not using a W126S, reducing max frame rate etc.

I think that the cost of this battery forbids a 5 star review, but it is high perfromance and holds its charge well. You can buy after market versions for considerably less, but when I considered that I have bought a 1st class system camera, why spoil the ship for a ha'pennoth of tar, as they say. Bite the bulllet and go for quality.

It is recommended to buy the fuji batteries to protect guarantee as there are warning third party can overheat. I cannot verify this, but cannot take the risk. While expensive, these were the cheapest via Amazon. As to how long they will last time will tell. I now have four and always carry a spare.

OEM battery makes a big difference to the alternative generic brands.Good charge retention that easily covered moderate shooting while on holiday for the last couple of weeks.I didn't expect this to match the performance of Nikon OEM batteries for my other camera's though, which it didn't.

This is the correct battery for most modern Fujifilm X cameras and because it has the S suffix, it meats the heat dissipation and power requirements for high speed video and continuous, sustained shutter operation. Replaces the previous NP-W126 battery

I have learnt from my mistakes over the years to use own brand batteries. These are the upgraded batteries and used in my X-Pro 3 and X-H1. Last longer and charge quicker and I have found generic batteries overheat. Never had that problem with these.

Not sure which seller and product that those buyer who give 1-star buy with. I bought mine from genuine Amazon store and that works perfect in XT3. My friend got his from the seller which fulfilled by Amazon also running perfectly in his XT3

I’m a wedding photographer and I bought 8 of these batteries to add to my collection of non S batteries. Typically I would use around batteries for a 10-12 hour day. However with these I’m down at around 4 so I’m very impressed.

I have bought cheaper alternatives in the past but when you spend that much on a camera you may as well spend a little more and get the official Fujifilm battery as you spare. It will last you 20%+ longer than the cheaper ones

This battery is identical to that supplied with my X-H1, is packaged identically to an additional battery I purchased from WEX with the camera and holds its charge just a well so I am pretty sure it's a genuine Fuji.
