A.) The packaging is not difficult to open if you first peel off the glitter/foil sticker on the top of the package (mine read "Smile in Style"). Flip up a corner of this sticker with your fingernail and tug it off. Then, gently tug the package open. The bottom paper sticker will easily tear in half ... and then it's open.B.) There is no need to hold in the button as you brush. Instead, you just push in firmly. You may even feel a slight clicking sensation. This activates the brush (it will stay on now until you turn it off). To turn off the brush, press that same area with firm pressure.C.) When the brush is properly activated (operating on its own without the user holding in the button),it cleans fairly nicely. Now, unlike other electric toothbrushes, you still have to "brush" with this Issa Play. So while with a brush like Sonicare, the user simply holds it to her/his teeth and lets the brush do the work, this is a dual effort. The user brushes in small circles while the brush emits sonic vibrations.I'm going to be frank, I like this brush. Everyone in my home has a Sonicare Diamond brush (I included them in my picture as proof), so I do know a great brush. However, while Sonicare provides travel cases for their brushes, the whole deal is just too large and not always drip-proof. And, I travel a lot for work. So, this brush is a million times better than a manual brush. I just put it in a small Ziplock baggie and it takes up very little room. (And it tries super quick, so no worries about mold when in the baggie). And, I kinda dig those silicon bristles and how it makes toothpaste SUPER foamy! For me, this is beyond perfect for travel and I am so glad to have found this. This is absolutely invaluable for those who travel a lot (and try to keep their luggage to a simple carry-on). Even if you love Sonicare (and I do!), you will still love this for travel. Give it a try!

**UPDATE**I still don't like having my teeth vibrated, but you know who does? My 1 year old who refuses to let us brush his teeth otherwise. He got a hold of this brush a while back (toddlers will stick anything in their mouths, you know) so we've washed it and now it's his. I'm guessing it's just the novelty, but he's happy to brush teeth when we use this brush. Now I'm sold!**************My wife just got an electric toothbrush and was raving about it, so I thought I'd give this thing a try. I hated it. It's not that there is anything wrong with this toothbrush in particular, but to me, the feeling of a vibrating anything on my teeth... well, it put my teeth on edge. After brushing for a while,I started to get used to it, but I never liked it. I'm also not convinced that it got my teeth any cleaner than a manual toothbrush.I also wasn't impressed with the fact that the brush comes with a pamphlet filled with tiny print, but most of it is just disclaimers, statements of regulatory compliance, etc. in several languages. If you want to read instructions, they direct you online. I would have appreciated just a little blurb like "brush your teeth like normal" or "the only difference to regular brushing is that you..." or something like that. I treated it like a normal brush that vibrates your teeth. I hope that was the right way to do it, because I didn't want to go online at the moment--I wanted to go to bed. Whatever. For people who are already used to mechanical toothbrushes, this thing may be fine, I don't know, but I for one did not like the vibration. For me, that alleviates another concern I had--the head does not seem to be replaceable, so once it wears out, you have to chuck the whole thing. I think. I'll have to go online and look up their instructions to be sure... if I ever get around to it.

Well first of all it took me ages and a knife to open the very attractive box it comes in, it's not so attractive now! The was to peel off the top sticker to pull it apart but that wasn't obvious...to me.....for a while. It is more your travel toothbrush, as you would not need bulky chargers for it. The batteries are in it and can be replaced though the head can't so you will need to throw the whole thing out eventually. So not awfully eco friendly. It is unusual and attractive. I've never had a toothbrush I needed to go online to check the user guide before. Mind you it is fairly straightforward.Big on the con side is, unlike my Phillips electric changeable head toothbrush, this one will not beep or buzz to tell you to shift to the next part of your mouth when using and you manually switch it off too. This means I'm standing counting. The brush feels a bit big in the mouth but is quite gentle. I think you get quite a good brush and teeth and mouth feel clean. The Phillips one can do that too. Some people have recommended this for sensitive teeth and gums and it feels kind enough for this.On the whole I'd say, it feels kind to your teeth and gums, gives a good clean and looks funky but is a travel toothbrush. I will stick to my 'beeps at me' electric one.

This is a very interesting little tooth brush. I teeth feel nice and clean after using it although the first few times, my gums felt a little sore. I like that it has a two minute timer so it shuts off after two minutes of brushing. This is a simple, no nonsense little silicone brush. I think it cleans my teeth very well. The pulsating does make my ears itch though. This is a very different electric toothbrush. It fits nicely in my hand and it's cool looking. The bristles are made from germ resistant silicone which is cool comparted to regular brushes. I think it cleans well and it has the timer. It does have a battery but it is supposed to be long lasting. This all waterproof silicone. This seems a little trendy but I think it does a good job at the gum line to clean teeth.I think I would recommend this brush but it may not be for everyone. The packaging is a little ridiculous. It's a hard plastic shell where you have to break the seal on the bottom where there is a sticker. I gave this to my husband to open after I couldn't quite figure it out-naturally, it took him only a minute or two to figure out, but it is different. It would be super cool if it came with an extra battery. All in all, I like this but not everyone will.

I never write reviews for a product even if it's a product I like but, I have to say for this product is worth it. I recently have been using this toothbrush but not for very long though. But, I have to say I do love this toothbrush the best part of this toothbrush is that it doesn't hurt my teeth or gums at all when I brush even if I brush hard it doesn't hurt me at all. I also noticed that it takes the food leftover from my teeth so I feel that my teeth are smooth and clean. The other good parts about this toothbrush is that its small enough that if I wanted to I can put it in my purse and take it with me and use it whenever I go out after I've eating somewhere, since it doesn't have a rechargable wire and it runs on 2AAA batteries that I don't have to replace until a couple of months or so..(at least that's what I've read from others). I would recommend this toothbrush to anyone who is like me who wants a electric tooth brush that's travel friendly and that has senstive gums and teeth this product is for you.

I have wanted one of these toothbrushes for a while now. I use the facial brush and I just love that. I was using one of the Philips sonic toothbrushes that I’ve had for years but I’ve tried all of the replacement heads and all of them make my gums really sore. I find them just too hard for me. so when I saw this toothbrush with its silicon head or hybrid head I was intrigued. Didn’t want to splash out £150 before trying it so this little brush is a great way to try the product without spending a lot of money. I do think the product is a little expensive and maybe it could be around 30 mark. Feels nice and soft to hold the vibrate isn’t too intense super soft Head great for sensitive teeth andgums my teeth feel super clean after I’ve used it and the brush it’s self is so easy to keep clean. I found it very easy to use and easy to open.

I bought this at Christmas for trips away so it hasn't been used consistently, but it last week it just stopped, there was just nothing but a few sputters when I pressed the button, then, nothing. I changed the batteries but still nothing. Was gutted because I like the product. It cleans thoroughly but is gentle enough to feel I'm not over scrubbing my diminishing enamel. Emailed the customer service and received a very prompt reply requesting registration details (on the disk inside- can do online) and proof of purchase. I had nothing as I kept the disk somewhere so safe I had forgotten where, and chucked the receipt, so all i could provide was a photo of the barcode at the bottom of the brush. They were very helpful and have replaced the brush anyway. Fingers crossed it works ok this time- and I will register it just in case.

This is certainly a cute little toothbrush, and will take up no space at all in a travel bag.The buzzing is gentle, and the brush does seem to give a nice, almost squeaky clean finish to my teeth. The brush is small, and you find that about half of it is inside your mouth when your are cleaning your back teeth. You can use it for 6 months or so, making sure to clean it thoroughly between cleans. But then, and this is why I have deducted a star, you have to throw it away. This seems to me an unnecessary waste, as the batteries can be replaced, but seemingly not the head.Cleaning is straightforward and you use it like any other brush. I don't know how the sonic element contributes to the overall clean, but my teeth certainly do feel clean after using it.

Bought this on Prime Day and so far have liked it although it's not without flaws. I think this is an especially great toothbrush for people trying to get their kids to be better about brushing.Pros-much smaller and more compact than I expected, which will make it super easy to take on trips etc.-very quiet-bristles are non abrasive but leave mouth feeling clean-battery powered so takes up very little sink space (no cord or charging dock)Cons-only vibrates when you hold down the power button. this can definitely become a pain (although not a major one) depending on the angle you're brushing at, how long you're brushing, what your grip strength is like,etc.-battery powered means less certainty re: longevity of charge

This is such a hard product to judge and review. I wasn't sure what I was expecting when I ordered this, but I've seen a few posts on popular social media platforms that silcon-based brushes are "the future" and so I couldn't pass this up.The brush action feels odd, as you expect bristles and get none. However this is great against my sensitive gumline, and the clean feels thorough. It appears to be doing a great job against plaque, and along with flossing, gives a total "fresh" clean. So easy to clean as well the only downside is the heads on this brush aren't replaceable so no matter how hot I wash this, eventually I'll have to replace the whole brush. Quite wasteful. All in all however a great, effective product.

I am new to the FOREO line of products and with that said I am not able to comment on the product’s durability of use. This is a battery operated not electric toothbrush. It is quite compact but as of right now it seems to be capable of providing a good brushing. I intend on using this toothbrush during emergency situations such as during power outages and times of travel. I love the fact that it is cord free. I would prefer the brush have a replaceable head but understand the construction of the toothbrush is actually bacteria resistant which is a plus but this is an item that is more useful in an emergency than as any regular use 4 Stars

23.8.2017

This is an interesting new twist on the hallowed toothbrush - an electric, battery-powered item that has a long-lasting, non-replaceable head. It does require thorough cleaning after each use. It is good at its job, though, providing a satisfying teeth-cleaning experience. I look on it more as a travel tooth brush, really, but in that regard it os pretty good. It's attractive-looking too, but the fact that you have to simply throw it away after the head has worn loses one star for me. I think it may be a bit of a fad sort of thing really, and I don't think it will make me want to give up my trusty Oral-B brush.

15.10.2017

I am wedded to my Philips sonicate toothbrushes but think the Foreo brush's innovative design is great. The silicone brush feels good and leaves your teeth feeling clean. This particular brush is at the low end of the Foreo range and I think it makes a perfect travel tooth brush or one to have a work so that you can clean your teeth after lunch or before going out after work. The downside to this model being at the low end of the range is that it's a throw away brush head - admittedly after 800 uses or so. You can replace the standard AAA batteries but not the brush head.
