I've had this backpack for just over a year and have put it to good use all over the world. It is the perfect daysack with ergonomically designed straps and padding, plus the firm back board provides excellent support should you wish to run with your gear and is also a great width for the transportation of my laptop in its case (mine is a 13" Macbook Pro in Thule case). The simplicity of the design allows for easy access to your equipment and despite daily use in all weather conditions, this bag is still as good as new with zero signs of wear so far. The rain cover is also a useful addition and is tidily stowed inside a zipped pocket within the underside of the top closure flap.

I wanted a pack around 25-30L for day hikes in New Zealand and did a fair bit of research. In general I wanted something simple, without hip pockets but with a waist strap, ideally hydration pocket, and a durable design without lots of things dangling off. The Kaipak 28 seemed to tick the box, although there weren't many reviews online. When it arrived I was stoked - the size was great, and it also looked very nice. I've since taken it for plenty of day walks in the hills/mountains and it's been great. Doesn't have mesh backing but that doesn't do much for me anyway because I'm always sweaty. If I want to I can put a hydration bladder in the zip pocket. Highly recommend!

Excellent, as always!This is my 3rd kaipak. I have a 38 litre for larger treks and another for work.Just come back from a 4 day hiking holiday in the lakes and used thia up Hellvellyn, Bowfell & Old Man Coniston. Everything you could want for a day pack, plus its Fjall so impeccable quality and build.

This backpack oozes quality and comfort. Really happy with it. Every stitch is perfect and the materials used are top notch. Colour is gorgeous and I got it at a fantastic price. Very pleased.
