There are conflicting reviews about the Fit of this fleece on here and on Fjällräven’s site. It is my first product I’ve bought from this brand, so I can’t really comment on how their other products fit. This particular fleece is described as having a ‘comfort’ fit, which implies that it is slightly roomier than a regular fit. However, I bought a medium and it’s fractionally roomier than my Arc’teryx Kyanite fleece in the same size, which they describe as having a ‘Trim’ fit. I would say for European Tastes, this would be a ‘regular’ fit and fit American Tastes, this would be a ‘slim’ fit. If you prefer a roomier fit then you may want to size up.I’m 5ft 10 42 inch chest 32 inch waist,athletic/muscular upper body. Slightly tight around the shoulder/back area, but there is always a degree of stretch in fleeces which doesn’t concern me. The problem I get when ordering Large in many brands is that the length becomes too great, even though I managed to fill the top half, so it ends up looking like a dress. This has quite a short length, slightly more so than the Arc’teryx Kyanite/Atom etc. So if you’re a lot taller than 5ft 10, then this might feel awkward for you. Also the neck/collar is quite big and whilst it’s not right around the neck, the collar tends to stick under the chin. However, I don’t tend to wear fleeces done right up to the top, that said, I suspect that it will loosen up with continued wear. So for my preferences it fits perfectly. As for quality, it’s pretty much faultless, at least at the moment. Oddly, the hem is adjustable, but the hem cord adjusters are in the pockets... but, they really work well, without that irritating bunching of fabric that you normally get. (Because the hem sits quite high on the body, using the adjusters is quite useful as it sits just below the belt line)I bought Dark Olive and it really is a genuine Dark Olive, that is a slightly browny green colour, which is very attractive. It has a lovely hard wearing texture to the exterior, very sturdy zips with attractive leather pulls and beautifully made. It is also incredibly warm. I would only ever use this as a midlayer, with either a t shirt, shirt or long sleeve t shirt underneath. It would be too tight having two layers underneath and not really the point of this fleece. However, you could easily put this on underneath a hardshell or an insulated/down jacket. Best suited for less serious hiking... as the jacket is definitely not light enough and you would end up sweating too much in this jacket. So reserve it for those freezing cold days in winter when you’re out for a less demanding hike, or down at the pub by the fire..

Yes, you can buy a fleece for £10 - but it won’t be like this. Fjällräven gear is expensive, there’s no denying that, but the moment you pick this fleece up, you’ll know it’s in a different class. The material is dense and hard-wearing, very windproof and breathable. It’s a kind of “knitted” polyester unlike the fluffy material I’ve used previously. The zips are often poor quality on cheap fleeces and Fjallraven again have not cut corners here. The zip pulls are leather, grippy and the zips are smooth and reliable. I’m a 44” chest and the XL is perfect.

I've lost count of the fleeces I've owned and worn over the years. At one time I gave up, especially on Polartec (apart from 300 at home in the winter to avoid putting the central heating on:)), but this knitted fabric that Fjallraven have used is a revelation, much like most of their clothes.warm, windproof, superbly made, well cut and very practical and hard wearing, you'll struggle to find anything as good apart from a Donegal fisherman's jumper

Quality of the fleece is great as to be expected with Fjallraven clothing. Be careful with sizing, as I’m 5ft 9 with a 44 inch chest and large was too big for me (especially in the sleeves). I had to return and reorder the fleece for a size medium.

Nice and warm. I like the cloth it's soft and warm on the inside but tightly woven on the outside to keep out wind. Nice colour of brown. Nor stopped wearing it since it arrived.

It comes in small so check the size guide.I am far from being a big man and the double xl fits me perfectly.I love this fleece.

Great fleece, but this comes up a little small (ironically, the XL comes up a little large on me, so choose carefully!)

Nothing to dislike, simple styling, quality as expected from this company. Nothing fancy or trendy that will date it.
