I'm a 72 year old 'boy' with arthritic hands who wanted something to do on rainy days whilst also learning at the same time. The Fischer Technic range which has been around for a long time, fitted my needs exactly. Ignorant of hydraulics, I now understand the basic principles and have shown these to my two grandsons who will 'inherit' the kits when they are a little older. The workbook which accompanies each set is well written and easily understood by the age-range they are intended for. My Christmas list is secure for at least the next couple of years!
