I was really drawn to this brand because I've not seen anything quite like this style of construction toy.You get a large box stuffed full of tiny proper bricks, a bag of cement mix, a little dish for mixing the cement in and a little trowel, as well as directions for building two designs (shown on box cover), but of course you could design your own building.It is really fun, mixing the cement and using the little trowel to put the cement on and lay the bricks. It is very fiddly though to get them straight and I don't feel I could leave my six-year-old to get on with it on his own, so it's definitely an activity to do together at his age. I don't mind that because it is really fun.

I purchased this a while back for my friend's 9 year old son and he really enjoyed it so I decided to get it for my son for his 6th birthday. The bricks, trowel and different pieces are tiny, they are very cute and the little one instantly loved it (as did the adults). The instructions are pretty straightforward. I found the ratio given for the cement mix made it difficult as it was too runny so added some extra powder which helped. It's really sticky and when it dries its solid. My 6 yo enjoyed mixing the cement and putting it onto the bricks, he had a go at building but found it was a bit hard for him. It's great that the cement dissolves in water so any extra on the bricks can be polished off easily.

I bought the most basic Teifoc kit I could find and as a starter kit this is great, we have all had a go at building some of the walls. My son who is 6 has really enjoyed doing this with my husband and has got better with each line of bricks. We set it up on a tea tray so it can be bought out and a bit completed whenever we felt like it rather than giving up an area of the playroom as a constant building site! Would have benefitted from a pre-measured footing template to start us off but patience and a ruler did the job. Don't know how good it will be second time around but as of yet it is still on display as 'The Little Pig's House'. If your child likes to learn and take time with a project this is great.

My son had this as a christmas present about 3 years ago (he is now 11yrs old)and still playing with it. All his life he has been into building, so when we saw this it seemed an ideal toy. It is fantastic. There is a tiny trowel to mix your cement and build with (like a proper builder!!) There are plans for you to follow and at first he did need some help following these, but soon got the hang of it and is now inventing his own models. Once you have finished your model and want to dismantle it, you soak the bricks in cold water and this removes the cement. He has probably now gone through about 3 extra packs of cement and I am now about to order another for christmas.

Amazing product, I brought this for my 4 year old daughter who loves to help daddy building. As soon as she opened this christmas morning she wanted to work on it straight away so lo and behold on christmas day I had both daddy and daughter at the kitchen table building the cottage. It is a lovely way to spend time together as well as being super educational and after they built it, it was so strong!! I dubiously soaked in water for 30 minutes thinking it would not work, but I was again amazed at how easily the bricks came apart and how clean they were, now they are all ready for another weekend building. Daddy who is a builder was really impressed and can't wait to build again.

This is a great set for all budding builders - or anyone who likes to get stuck into anything creative.You use clay bricks and a special type of mortar to make your own house. You can follow the instructions inside or let your imagination take over and make your own designs. It's good because it's reusable. Once you're done, all you have to do is dunk the model in water and leave for a few hours and once you've wiped everything down you're good to go again.You get quite a big bag of mortar with this kit so I think it would be enough for a couple of models but if you run out you can buy more separately.

This is a set of small real bricks of different sizes, a small spatula, a water-soluble cement mixture, a bowl, a rectangular base, instructions and a description of the construction plan in pictures.EVERYTHING was built: daughter 5 years old, son 2 years old, me and my husband!Cement mix based on water-soluble glue. After drying, the house holds well! Having played enough, tired - soaked in water, the glue has dissolved, the bricks have dried up and you can build again.. just you need to be patient and carefull. The mixture is enough for three times, then I think you can separately buy the mixture.The only thing i dint like, all around became messy..

Brought this for two boys aged 9 and 8 and they love it. So much so that they want extra cement and bricks this year so they can design and make their own buildings. Not your run of the mill toy as it is very different from making a lego toy or similar and I am sure lots of builders out there would love to spend time doing this with their sons and could really use their imagination in creating really attractive buildings. Good as it can be done over and over again by just soaking the cement. Also you can buy extra bricks and so on so the possibilities are endless, really good value and well worth every penny.

The topic this half term at my son's school is houses so i was searching for something on Amazon that would support his learning. Stumbled accross these Teifoc packs and my son decided that he wanted to get the castle one. It was delivered very quickly and my son has spent most of the afternoon sitting with my husband whilst they construct the castle. It is easy to use (although they ended up designing their own castle). Loads of bricks, ample cement and nice small details makes this a fun but educational toy that i would definitely recommend.

Not a lot to say about this really. I bought this to finish a house which I was completing for my grandson. You mix 4 tablespoons of this stuff with 1 tablespoon of water to produce cement to stick miniature bricks together. It works very well and the package was delivered the day after I ordered it, so no complaints there. The reason for 4 stars is that it is relatively pricey for what is effectively a small bag of very fine sand mixed with a water soluble powdered glue.

My daughter loved the Teifoc building set and got plenty of use out of it. It has now been handed on to the out of school that I work for, where the children have enjoyed using the building bricks. It definitely requires patience, so would recommend for slightly older children, but the joy is that, if you make a mistake, you just soak the parts that you can't use in water to let the mortar dissolve and then start again. A real change to other construction type sets.

Bought this for my Nan as she is stuck at home during this time on her own and missed out on her holiday to a beach this year. So I got this as a fun and keep busy gift that wouldn't be too complicated but she would have a sense of achievement from it. She LOVED IT and has started building - i will come back and share pics once shes completed :)Delivery was fast and well packaged, my Nan said the quality of the contents looks good.Extremely happy with this buy.

Similar to Lego and other building products Teifoc is an absoutley amazing invention. Instead of plastic bricks you actually get real bricks and real mortar (okay it's not actual cement) but a child friendly alternative which can be washed away and allow you to start from scratch again!As a 24 year old I thoroughly enjoyed sitting building my very own castle, definitely something I will pick up again in the future for kids to play with!

An excellent product. Not cheap as I had seen it for half the price I paid but it was unavailable at the time. However, it has been used a great deal by me and my daughter and we have spent many hours building. The bricks and mortar work well. It is quite slow and one needs to take care and be a little meticulous but the end result is great. Building is great fun and time seems to go so fast when building.

My son had one of the building sets which he proudly displayed for a year - when I explained how you can disssolve the mortar and restart building he couldn't wait.Dissolving was so easy - drops the house in a basin of water and the mortar dissolves ever so quickly. So buying more mortar means he can now rebuild a different style of house. fantastic toy - its get my son away from computer games!!!
