I was worried at first whether or not this would work but decided to purchase this b/c 1. the price was actually cheaper than new American copies. 2. The cover art looks so much cooler on this one; the cover art on the American version just looks like a gray swirl from a distanceI played FFIV for only 1 hour, just to test it. So far no glitches and I haven't noticed any spelling differences between British and American English. I might post an addendum at an indefinite point once I have finished FFIV, Interlude, and After Years with notes about any glitches, spelling differences, etc.The back of the package lists the region code 2, instead of region code 1 like North American games do. However, the game still worked flawlessly on my US PSP.I've played the DS version of FFIV (not the American PSP version) and so far, noticed that1. The opening movie on the PSP is the same but is in higher definition here.2. There's no voice acting or animated cutscenes like in the DS.3. Some of the text is different.4. Enemy encounter rates seem to be lower here.5. Different graphics. The sprites are created in a 2D style similar to the original SNES graphics, but are upgraded to look nice on the PSP screen. You can switch the music mode between the nostalgic, original score or the updated record from the DS. Unlike with how you can switch between music modes, you cannot switch modes between 2D and 3D, but they are gorgeous here anyways. You can choose to play any one of the three games at any time, but it would make sense to play in the game's chronological order. The PSP version apparently has version-exclusive features like bosses, which is a plus. (In fact, the Interlude is version exclusive.)This is a great addition to any PSP owner's collection and the sick cover art just makes it all that better.EDIT AS OF 7/30/2013:Mini-update: Almost done with FFIV. So far, this game is really easy. Every once in a while, a new character is extremely weak or the enemy is surprisingly strong and I have to grind... for maybe 20 min. So no, this game is really not that challenging. At times, I was able to defeat bosses with only one semi-powerful magic attack. It's great if you want to fly through a game for the story, but I found the easiness a little disappointing and devised ways to raise the difficulty.Still, the artwork is gorgeous. I can't say whether I have a preference between this and the DS art, but both are very appealing! The language itself has no mistakes. I have a very diligent eye and all the grammar and spelling is perfect. Also, when you play this game, make use the Big Chocobo often! Your inventory is limited and selling off items to make room for new ones will not be a good idea!
