I wanted this because I’m in LOVE with nail polish. I’ve tried every kind under the sun so I was excited to give this a go too! This is L'Oreal / Essie ‘Treat, Love & Colour’ line in the colour Berry Best (164).This isn’t normal nail polish! The formula is nourishing and strengthening to your nails. This is supposed to leave your nails stronger in only three days! This is a combined colour and care product so you can care for your nails while also making them look fantastic! When you use this product, your nails will have 60% less peeling and 35% less breakage. Not only is this great for your nails but it’s vegan as well! When I first tried this, I had just taken my gel polish off and my nails were a bit damaged and felt a bit thin. This seemed to help strengthen them again and restore some of the damage and they looked fabulous while they were being treated.I love the Essie bottles! They look amazing and the labelling is recognisable immediately. You feel like you’re getting a special product when you get this bottle of polish and I love that. These bottles come packaged in a professional looking box which states the benefits, ingredients and usage instructions. The brush is a good size. It’s not too thin, so it’s easy to use. The wider brush makes application easier with less required strokes to achieve the desired amount of polish. Despite the great brush, this polish goes on streaky. The polish formulation is on the thin, watery side so you’re going to need at least 3 coats to get good coverage and make the polish opaque enough. This is somehow even worse than the other polishes in the same ‘Treat, Love & Colour’ range. 3+ coats are a must with this colour. The colours in this range are absolutely stunning. The ones I received are creamy, nude, understated and match everything. They’re the perfect all rounder colour wise. This particular shade, Berry Best, is a gorgeous muted mauve pink. It goes with everything and although it’s obvious you’re wearing nail polish, it looks classy, elegant and understated. I love this colour! The listing says you don’t need a base or topcoat with this polish but I disagree because the longevity isn’t great without it. Skip the base coat so it can get to work nourishing your nails, but this polish needs a topcoat. I painted my nails on Sunday with 2 coats of polish and my usual topcoat and this polish was already chipping by Wednesday. I am very hard on my nails, but normal polish usually lasts longer than that.Priced at £8.99 for 13.5 ml, this is good value for money. This is a good product from a trusted brand so you’re getting good quality.Overall I love these polishes and would recommend them but keep in mind they’re not going to last all week.

Essie Treat Love & Colour Nail Polish in "MAUVE-TIVATION" Shade No 95 AND "NUDE MOOD Shade No 10Essie is the brand of Nail Varnish that is favoured by our Queen, Elizabeth 2nd, so let me see how good this one is! Essie is a brand that is second to none in the immense variety of nail colour shades. This Review is for BOTH of the above named colours.1st Impressions (Applies To Both Shades)• The nail lacquer is presented in the usual nice weighty glass bottle and the Nail Lacquer is Made in Spain.• The outer celluloid presentation box shows the details of the product and what it is formulated to do. As with most personal products these days, there's a very long List of Ingredients.• The colour of the top of the box is the colour of the nail varnish when applied to your nails!• This is a dual purpose product. Primarily it is to improve your nails by strengthening and protecting them. Collagen and Camelia Extract help with this. Not only does this product care for and nourish your nails to prevent peeling and breakage, but there is also the colour of a normal cream Nail Polish. In Use:-• To get the best adhesion, I made sure my hands and nails were thoroughly clean with no trace of hand cream.• NO Primer or Top Coat is needed with this product.• The consistency of BOTH colours is just right. Not so thin that it drips and not so thick that it is difficult to apply!• I found the Nail Polish very easy to apply. It went on easily without streakiness. It dried fairly quickly and coverage was excellent with just one coat.• Just applying ONE coat of this Nail Varnish lasted 2 - 3 days looking good. It wore away at the top of my nails to show the white nail tops, rather than get chipped.• I applied a second coat for a more dense coverage.• Re "MAUVE-TIVITATION" - Two coats of lacquer give a brilliantly dense colour with a lovely high gloss.• Re "NUDE MOOD" – Two coats of the lacquer gives a slightly more dense shade accompanied by a lovely gloss finish.• When the varnish was removed, my nails did not feel in any way dry or uncomfortable. They were in excellent condition."MAUVE-TIVITATION" - This colour is a really pretty dense Pink with a hint of Lilac mixed in to produce a pretty Mauve. It is a colour that suits all ages and skin tones."NUDE-MOOD" – This is a VERY delicate shade of Pale Pearl Pink – Just a hint of a tint.• Usage advice from Essie is to apply two coats, then remove and repeat weekly to treat your nails. At time of writing this Review, the RRP is £7.99 which great for a Nail Treatment and a Nail Colour all in one bottle!

‘Punch It Up’ is a mid tone pink nail polish with a subtle gold shimmer and it’s from the Essie treat love & colour collection, which is their new vegan formula breathable nail polish which they say is a nourishing & strengthening formula that can give stronger nails in 3 days with 60% less peeling and 35% less breakage. It’s what my weak, soft peeling nails have been crying out for!I was intrigued by this ‘Treat, Love, Colour’ nail polish because I have always had very bendy nails which split and peel easily, in fact my middle finger nail is suffering from a bout of terrible peeling at the moment! The 13.5ml nail polish arrived in its own specific box which is handy if you have a lot of these as you can see the colour at a glance on the lid.The instructions say to apply to clean bare nails as this is a breathable one step formula it requires neither a base nor a topcoat. The 1st coat applied a little streaky and patchy but as it says to apply 2 coats, I did and this made it fully opaque and smooth. It was easy to apply thanks to the brush which fans out nicely and the slightly curved edge helped me achieve a fairly neat finish (even with a shaky hand!).The colour is listed as a mid tone pink with a gold shimmer, but honestly, I didn’t see the gold shimmer! On examining the bottle under a light I could see the gold, but sadly, i couldn’t see it at all on my nails. The shade seemed to change from mid pink to salmon pink according to what light I was in too and it definitely looks lighter on my nails than in the advertised picture, but It’s still a nice pink nonetheless. It took a little longer to dry than I’m used to, but as this isn’t advertised as fast drying polish - more of a treatment, I was willing to wait!I cannot comment, as yet, on the impact this has had on my nails as I’ve only had it on for 1 day but I will come back and update this review in a week or so time. So far I have high hopes for this polish as it applied well, the colour is nice and the finished result looked smooth and shiny. It is vegan in origin meaning it contains no animal derivatives, I wish this also meant that it was cruelty free but it seems there is a little bit of uncertainty surrounding this.

I was really hoping that this product would help me with my lifelong problems with weak, prone to breaking nails. My suspicion is that the fact that it didn't has nothing to do with the formulation, and everything to do with my genes. When I ordered this product, I'd seen a brief summary that referred simply to weak nails that are prone to breaking and flaking. This is true of my nails. What wasn't included in the Amazon Vine summary description when I ordered this was that the product achieves improvements by targeting dryness. My nails aren't at all dry. They're really thin. Exactly the same as my Mum's and Grandma's. I'm told my Grandma's mum also had the same kind of nails - well-hydrated,but unusually thin and flexible.Until I worked alongside a former nail technician, I had no idea that having completely flexible nails wasn't normal. To me, the odd thing was the fact that my dad is able to use his nails in place of flat head screwdrivers! My nails break easily because they're thin, bendy and snag easily. When they snag below the nail line the surface can tear in an uneven fashion that leaves the ends of the nails flaky for a few weeks of grow-out.This nail polish didn't work with my nail type to help to strengthen. It didn't stop my nails from bending or becoming flaky after breakages. However, the formula seemed to work better in terms of durability with my weak, bendy nails than any other I've used. This nail polish seems to be more flexible than most, which has given me better durability than any other formula I've encountered in my life. When my weak, thin nails bend, this bends with them: unlike most hard formulations, which on me tend to crack both at the tips and in the middle of the nails, forming stress lines - because the polish forms a hard shell that stays rigid when my nails bend.Lost a point for me, because I'm not a fan of the salmon-pink colour and it took a long, long time to dry. I've smudged this a couple of times and had to re-start applying it because the drying time is akin to that of Rimmel polishes I was using 20 years ago when I first started using nail varnish.

‘Take 10’ is a peachy coral shade from the ‘Treat, Love & Colour’ collection by Essie. This is their new vegan formula breathable nail polish which is said to give stronger nails in 3 days, 60% less peeling and 35% less breakage with this nourishing & strengthening formula. I was eager to try this nail polish as my nails are quite thin and bendy and forever peeling and this sounds like a cure for all of that! The polish comes in a little box, handy for storage as it has a colour coordinated lid which makes finding the colour you are looking for easy at a glance. This 1 step breathable formula is applied to clean bare nails, which saves time and money - win win!It was easy to apply the polish as the wide brush made application quick and smooth and the nicely rounded edge followed the curve of the nail beautifully and helped me achieve a nice, neat finish. Unfortunately the first coat was a little streaky and the second coat made it look a bit better, but I think it needed at least 1 more coat to make it fully opaque. The polish had rather a thin consistency which on the plus side meant it dried fairly quickly (3-5minutes between coats) but the downside was, that as well as being streaky, it made the ridges in my nails look more (or is it prominent which probably wasn’t helped by the lack of ridge-filling base coat that I usually use - and while the second coat made them look a little better, I think it would’ve needed a couple of more coats to really smooth things out.Overall I quite like this nail polish. The results, so far, are good, It has a nice shine to it and the coral colour is subtle and pretty. Yes, it is a little streaky and my ridges aren’t as smoothed out as I much as they usually are, but I’m sure I could achieve perfection with 1 or 2 more coats - but as it said to apply 2 coats, I wanted to follow the instructions to the letter in the hope that it will indeed strengthen and nourish my weak and peeling, bendy nails! If it does live up to its promises, then I will gladly recommend it at £6.99, If not, I will come back and update this review accordingly. ;)

3 reviews in 1!See photo 1: Before use (left) and after one month (right) (ESSIE TREAT LOVE COLOR APRICOT 5ml).Photo 2 & 3: I loved Nude Mood Ivory so much that I bought Mauve Titivation a few weeks later!ESSIE TREAT LOVE COLOR APRICOT 5ml (Review: 3 stars)Firstly, I was surprised that this is an oil you apply and massage into your nails, rather than a nail polish (which is what I thought I was getting). It is rather a faff, and a commitment, to apply this daily to your nails (no nail varnish, arrgh!). I did so, and did see a slight improvement in the strength of my nails.NUDE MOOD IVORY NAIL POLISH / MAUVE TITIVATION NAIL POLISH (Review: 5 stars)Nude Mood Ivory is so pale in colour that it is almost like a tinted top coat, and quite impossible to capture the opaque colour in a photo. However, its a perfect colour for work as it is so discrete. When I first applied it to my brittle and chipped nails, I had zero expectations and promptly forgot that is is designed to work magic whilst you are wearing it. So when I removed the polish a week later, I was pleasantly surprised to see my much improved real nails. In fact, I was so impressed that I promptly bought Mauve Titivation and have been wearing this ever since. It is resistant to chips for a few days - I've found that four days is the optimum. So for work, it is very handy - paint nails on a Sunday night, and change on a Thursday night ready for the weekend. I did push it to 7 days, and the photo's show how well my nails fared, against life in general and a few random activities.Currently on day 4 of wear, and already had two compliments on my nails today (this never happens once, let alone twice!)I have been brand-loyal to another brand for many years as they were best-in-class for breathable nail polish, but this new range from Essie has made me change allegiance. Massively impressed, and highly recommend. This is not an overnight fix, nor a miracle worker. Real change takes time.

The pluses:The stunning colour, which doesn't show up as well as I'd have hoped in the picture. Think bronzing pearls and you pretty much have it.The fact that this strengthens and nourishes nails whilst beautifying your hands. It can be used for normal and dry/brittle nails and there should be an improvement seen in as little as a week. It contains collagen and camelia extracts. It contains reflecting pigments that mean that imperfections in the nails are concealed. This is a major plus for me, as I have a health condition that means I have ridged and lightly discoloured nails. Both are completely invisible with this polish on.It's a nice, thick polish and I could have gotten away with one layer only for everyday use.Two coats are meant to be used and should be removed and replaced weekly. The not-so-pluses:Each coat takes time to dry. The first took about 8 minutes before it was fully dry and I could apply a second coat - the latter took close to 30 minutes to feel dry enough that I could get on with my day and not be sat wafting my hands about carefully. That's far too long, tbh, in these days of dries-in-seconds polishes. The price: double that of most high street brand name polishes, though admittedly that may be because of the conditioning aspect (and the brand name, no doubt). The colour doesn't look anything different, tbh, to major brands' or even high-street-budget brands' comparable ranges. The packaging: too much plastic to dispose of, as there's an outer section and an inner section, and both are of the brittle variety that can cut you if not handled properly.Overall, this is nice to have, but out of my budget for everyday use. I've tended to use Sally Hansen products in the past for conditioning of my nails, which are incredibly effective and far, far cheaper, and I think I'll be sticking to those.

Who'd have thought so many people would clearly have issues with applying this product? To those who complain about it taking too long to dry - you are applying coats too thickly. To those who complain about it peeling off the day after - you are also applying coats too thickly and are likely not letting individual coats dry before applying more.In my experience, I can't fault this varnish and have been using Essie's TLC for a few years - I also seldom buy any other varnish except for Essie. It is meant to be sheer, and I prefer more subtle colour over flat blocks of colour on my nails. I also find that it dries extremely quickly and is touch dry within a minute. Another minute and it's safe to apply the next coat, and you DO need more than one coat. Otherwise, due to the sheerness of the varnish, one coat will chip extremely easy.I do notice a difference in the health of my nails too, especially as I use this product rather sporadically. I tend to buy a bottle, finish the bottle and then don't think to buy another until some months later. My nails tend to be quite thin and peel, but after using Essie's TLC for a couple of weeks I notice that they are stronger, smoother and more conditioned. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't last as long as a conventional varnish, and I have attempted to make applications last longer by using a gel topcoat but this results in the varnish peeling off like a sticker after a few days.If your hands don't take a beating daily, then in my experience you can expect an application of 3 coats to last you approximately a week. But this is providing that you apply the varnish in modest coats and allow enough time between coats for drying.

‘Final Stretch’ is a neutral nude nail polish from the Essie ‘treat, love & colour’ collection which is their new vegan formula breathable nail polish which they say can give stronger nails in 3 days with its nourishing & strengthening formula and will also give 60% less peeling and 35% less breakage.I was eager to try this after reading the impressive claims as I do have extremely weak and bendy nails that are often prone to peeling. The 13.5ml nail polish arrived in a little presentation box, which I think is a nice touch rather than just a lose bottle, the lid is also colour coordinated making it easy to find the colour at a glance. This is a 1 step, breathable formula so you apply it straight onto bare nails cutting out the need for both base and top coat, which in turn saves time and money. The first coat applied a tiny bit streaky but the 2nd coat - as per the instructions - smoothed everything out and made it fully opaque and smooth, it also had a really shiny finish. I liked the brush in polish, it was nice and wide which means you use less strokes and it had a nicely curved edge so application was neat as it follows the curve of the nail better than a straight edge brush. The colour is a neutral taupe shade which means it’s great for work and goes with anything and it made my nails look neat and healthy! It did take a little longer to dry, but as it’s meant to be doing more good than anything else, I didn’t mind the little extra wait time!At £6.99 (23/1/21) this seems to be a really good price for the quality and result I’ve seen so far but I will come back and re-review this after I have had chance to wear it for a week or so. But so far so good :)

Essie Treat Love Colour Care and Colour is a great way of giving your nails a lot of tender loving care plus a little bit of soft colour to help them look good while the Essie works its magic.Personally, I loved the soft colour of the nail varnish but for me, the nail varnish really adds to the protection and treatment of my fingernails which is what I am using this product on.My nails have been breaking continually and constantly from my medication was topped up, they are weak and brittle. Now I can already see an improvement in the condition of my fingernails and they are not breaking every time I hit them with anything.Essie treats my nails while making them look good which makes it theperfect nail product as the varnish gives my nails much-needed treatment while protecting them from elements at the same time.I also love how it provides moisture for my very dry nails, this is one thing I needed for my dry and brittle nails as in the past other nail strengtheners always left my nails even drier prior to using them which really reduced any goodness they provided for my fingernails.Personally, I loved the soft colour, as it not only enhanced my nails helping them look good but it also left them looking healthier. I am no longer hiding my fingernails.Essie Treat Love Colour Care and Colour is an excellent product which not only helps my nails but within a week I was already noticing an improvement. I have tried different colours in this range and I love the soft colours as it provides a nice natural enhancement yet with a nice sheen.Happy to recommend.

Essie Treat, Love & Color in "Sheers to You" No 3This is not a standard nail lacquer – it is a Nail Strengthener, which is formulated for those who have dry/brittle nails.1st Impressions:• Attractively presented in a celluloid box with black, white and silver writing.• There is a full list of Ingredients printed on the side of the box. Printed on the back of the box, is a multi-lingual description of what the product aims to do. Multilingual Instructions for Use are printed on the other side of the box.• The product is Made in Spain. In Use:-• To get the best adhesion, make sure your nails are freshly washed and that there is nothing on them – eg hand cream.• The instructions do not say so,but I shook the bottle as I would with any normal nail varnish.• Application with the normal (as in years ago) sized brush is simple. The product went on well.• It took a little longer to dry between coats than normal nail varnish.• This "Sheers To You" colour is very aptly named. It really is a very light, but pretty shade of pink. The sort of shade that you get with pink pearl jewellery – hardly perceptible.• In my opinion, two coats were enough to get a good colour. The Nail Strengthener lasted well too.• I did find that my nails got stronger and moreover when the product was removed from my nails when it got to look tatty, my nails were not in the least bit dry as they would have been with regular nail lacquer. At time of writing, the price is £8.99, which for 13.5ml seems pretty good to me.

This nail varnish from Essie isn't bad at all … I suppose it depends on what you are looking for. It is reasonably priced and goes on quite smoothly.I received Essie Treat Love & Colour 'Tinted Love' … for reviewing purposes. This nail varnish is a nail strengthener that also adds a pop of colour to your nails … it is not overly thick but does give a good coverage with two coats.I quite liked the effect of this nail varnish being a translucent soft creamy peach colour and being able to see my nail underneath … it looks particularly good if after you apply two coats of nail varnish, you apply a white nail pencil under your nail.It was easy to apply, although you do need to be careful not to put too much onto the brush otherwise it would could easily bleed onto the surrounding skin. The bottle is well balanced and stands securely on a flat surface, the brush is of a decent width … two brush strokes covered my nail and it dries in about three minutes. It's a novel idea … a nail varnish that also cares for your nails and helps to repair dry and damaged nails. This varnish contains collagen and camellia extract and although I didn't notice much in the way of improved nail condition in a week, I agree that after a couple of weeks my nails do look a lot more cared for.I will definitely be purchasing more and trying the different colours in the range when this bottle runs out.
