Quite a nice inkjet printer. I’ve been using something smaller so I had to clear things to find room for this. This is a “4 in 1” printer – print, scan, copy and fax. I must admit I never used the fax option and I probably never will. These days it’s easier to scan a document and email it with things like signatures and form filling being done online. Besides, I don’t have a phone line in any convenient place for the printer.The printer came well packaged and secure. Inside the box was the printer with polystyrene runners along the top and bottom edges to avoid accidental damage and the unit itself was in a large polythene bag with the power lead. No other leads are provided.A small bag contained the set-up disk, safety sheets and instructions in several different languages. All this is pretty standard stuff. The actual manual for the printer is on the disk or can probably be downloaded from the web.Setting it up was reasonable easy. There’s a lot of blue tape strips covering various parts that must be removed prior to switching on. They’re all pretty obvious. The actual toner cartridges come in a sealed bag and you have to install them yourself. This is relatively easy and the accompanying notes and the screen both explain this in detail.One of the bugbears with printers is the cost of the toner. Most printers are reasonably cheap and can probably be classified as a “loss leader” because the money is made on the toner. With this particular inkjet there is a separate cartridge for each of the four colours and if you buy the higher capacity units (anything smaller is a false economy) the refills alone will cost you almost as much as the printer. There’s always a tendency to go for the non-Epson replacements, and they’re probably OK, but you’ve voided the warranty if you do, so be careful. On the instructions for installing the toner cartridges it says:“For the initial setup, make sure you use the ink cartridges that came with the printer. These cartridges cannot be saved for later use. The initial ink cartridges will be partly used to charge the print head. These cartridges may print fewer pages compared to subsequent ink cartridges.”This appears to be the manufacturer saying “We’ve given you some low yield toner to start with and you’re probably going to have to buy some more pretty quickly”. Well, thanks for that. When I installed the cartridges and gave them a shake (like they tell you too), I could feel the ink sloshing around inside. Couldn’t Epson have just added a bit more ink for these initial cartridges because they needed to charge the print head?Moving on. I found the setup quite easy. There’s a small touch-screen on the printer which can be rotated up 90 degrees so you can either use it as it is on the front of the printer or rotate it so it sticks out and you’re looking down at it. The screen is clear, has excellent details of what to do and leads you through the system. It’s good for help in most circumstances as well. The system goes through a software update after installation and it’s all pretty painless. Epson have certainly done a good job here. I initially set this up as a USB connection then went back and set up the Wi-Fi system. There was no problem.I tested the machine for printing and scanning and I thought the quality was good. For printing the paper tray is a good capacity (250 sheets) and the printed sheet comes out the front of the printer. There are two fold out runners to catch the output and make sure it doesn’t end up on the floor and I found that having the output at the front instead of the side was a space saver and a good idea for home use or a small office. Once I’d set up the software from the disk I tested the scanning process. It’s OK but I found it a bit slow, certainly slower than the Canon scanner I’m used to, but I guess it’s quite good to have a printer and scanner all in one. It gives you a variety of options with documents and photos which is handy to have in one place. The only difficulty I found was when I was trying to scan a passport - in essence a thin book - the machine kept telling me there was a paper jam and in the end I had to give up.Overall I think it’s a good printer but I took a star off for the toner issue and the scanning issues (speed and problems with thin books).

This is a review of the Epson WF-3720DWF ‘4 in 1’ printer, 2017 model. Once the box arrived I knew it was quite a fair sized gizmo and on unpacking it, was proved right as in a lot of cases the box is vastly oversized and the actual item sits in the middle of all the packing looking lost, but not in this case (or box) . Apart from the usual stuff like set up bits and pieces, mains lead etc. getting the printer out was not as bad as I thought and while its slightly heavy - considering what it does, hardly surprising - but its footprint is no bigger than the old Samsung laser model I have just parted company with.The overall construction is quite impressive and the plastic seems to be quite robust as one assumes this was based on this item being used in an office environment where it would have to take the everyday ‘knocks and bangs’ of such a place and hence the 'PRO' in the product title. Casting an eye over its features and it seems to be quite up to date in that respect. It has both wired and wireless connection - I prefer the wired myself as it used in a study environment - and has a touch screen that once you get the hang of it, as the menus are quite well laid out and very intuitive and so is quite user friendly as they like to say these days, its a doddle to use but as with all these things it relies on the person using it of course.. It has a good sized capacity paper tray. Once the drivers installed, and this did not take any great length of time to do although I have never sat and timed this process with any printer I have owned as once it’s done that is it and then it was all systems go. In use the printing of plain paper is very good and without timing it, I would say this is quite fast enough with the good news being the actual print quality is first class and since using it, have had no problems with either the feeding or the printing and its now over a hundred or so sheets of A4 paper been produced plus assorted sized envelopes. Photos are a tad slow being printed but the quality is there - the 6 x 4’s are as good if not better than ‘shop produced’ prints - but obviously the bigger the size you print, it takes slightly longer to print them pro rata but once again the quality is there and from a personal viewpoint I have never wanted ‘a print a second’ as speed as never been a priority, but quality has been and this fits in well with this model. Scanning a photo does take time compared to scanning a sheet of paper with print on, which I suppose is to be expected, but I will say I have had better scanning results from an old model Canon but overall this copes okay and therefore passable. Now the good news is it takes separate ink cartridges - much like my old Canon A3 printer that took five cartridges with this one taking four but the biggest drawback is the price of these cartridges as they are not cheap but casting an eye around to see if there are any low priced one about is proving not very fruitful at the time of writing and I am reluctant to use third party ones in a new device. Having said that, the machine is still going strong on the basic set supplied with it but I feel I want another set ready for when these dry up!. I have this in my home but considering its features, its is aimed at a small office or similar but even so, apart from the high cost of the ink cartridges, its quite a very good machine overall but due to the cost of the inks which I feel lets it down, I give it four stars.

Having recently had my 6-month-old Canon home "print and scan" printer break on me, I luckily had this Epson printer waiting in the wings. It's a much bigger printer than the canon it replaced, geared more towards office use rather than casual printing. I knew performance would be better than the Canon but didn't expect such a huge improvement.Setup is fairly straightforward, I followed the simple on-screen prompts where I was connected to my home Wi-Fi and ready to go in around 10-15 mins. There's a comprehensive range of other connection options that can be used including USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi Direct, and NFC. There's also Mobile and cloud printing services to take advantage of.

Alas, our venerable Epson WF-3620 decided to hand its cap in after quite a few years of sterling service.Basically, it was getting a tad tired and paper handling rather a chore! This printer appeared to be a more modern equivalent, so we took the plunge.Installation was pretty straightforward and it does everything we need more than adequately. We learnt from the previous printer that 90 gsm paper was a good choice in terms of price Vs performance. Print quality is excellent and we've had no issues with paper handling - including double sided prints. Copy and Scan work as expected and we do not use the FAX facility. Printing is reasonably quiet but certainly not silent!We chose to use a wired LAN connection to our home network,

We bought this to replace a previous model on which the print quality had deteriorated to unaceptable and the ADF duplex function had stopped working. I went through all the main manufacturers web sites and listed all of their products which met our requirements. I then ruled out any that were more than I wanted to pay and read reviews of those left. Unfortunately, the reviews left me without an obvious choice as one review rated a printer as the bext thing since sliced bread whilst another review panned it! Then my wife stumbled across one at a local retailer which sounded OK. However, when I read the review, it didn't meet my requirement for a duplexing ADF but the uplevel model did.

Good print quality, although print speed in colour is quite slow by modern standards. The LED screen is of a reasonable size for this size of printer. Menu system on the screen is logical, easy to read and use. Good for home or small office use. Easy to set up. Ink cartridges that come with supplied are starter ones that are not the standard or XL capacity ones and it is reasonable to assume that the number of pages these will be produced will be less. Reasonable price. Software drivers were easy to install onto PC and were actually written to work with current operating systems (something that wasn't the case when I purchased my last all-in-one HP printer in 2007).

Aimed at businesses, a 500 page capacity paper holder printer and 4800x1200 it prints out business quality flyers, leaflets, business cards, photographs etc. Both the printer and scanner can do both sides of the paper if needed. The scanner has a resolution of 1200x2400 so scanning old photographs meant I managed to get all the detail in. The 10cm colour screen is much easier on my eyes, using an apple or android device you can print straight wirelessly to the printer, this is no matter where you are at work or home or out and about.This printer is razor sharp quality and because it equals laser printing it also saves you around 50 per cent in costs of printing. Its remarkably fast too,

This is a decent printer for the light family use we have it for. It was easy to set up. I am not very good with technology but the instructions were clear and the procedures quite simple. I now have it connected to my computer through a direct cable, but it is also hooked into my WiFi, and using an app on my phone I can print pictures and whatever directly from the phone.As a printer connected to my computer it is absolutely fine. It prints at up to 20 pages per minute when on the lowest resolution settings. This is OK for most things that I am printing off. The high res end does give you some pretty good quality for printing photos etc.Printing via Wi-Fi is pretty limited,

This is my third Epsom printer in about 9rs years so operating life has been 4-5 years. I'm relatively happy with that given that I' have to print handouts for clients so this means I'm quite a heavy user.I've stuck with Epson after having considerable problems with HP-less said the better about the Tesco printer which caught fire.......on the whole they are pretty reliable. Like most outfits they try and drive you to their own ink which costs a lot. However I've found the previous two machines to work very well with cheaper refills. This is despite Epson's 'helpline' advice which basically blames any malfunction on not using the correct product.

I write today because, even though I reported that the printer was defective and wanted to return it but you adviced me to to just keep it. I want to say I bought new cartridges ( original ones from Epson) and the printer works very good.I feel I should pay you, I feel you deserve your money. It is for this reason that I wish you ask you to authorise Amazon to allow me to pay your money. When we work hard, we deserve what we work hard for and I am not in any position to just keep your printer and not pay you.Secondly dear other present and future customers who also love the epson workforce 3720 , I do,

Got this Epson WF4720DWF as a second printer in the office as we already have the A3 model (WF7610). Always go for the duplex (both-sides) printer because it saves a lot of time and paper.The Epson A4 printer is a very capable machine but bear in mind that Epson now make an eco tank printer that will probably make all their other printers obsolete. If you want to be clever and use the eco tank ink in refillable cartridges (also available on Amazon) then a WorkForce printer is a very economic option.The main reason we use Epson professionally is the quality of the ink. It doesn't fade in sunlight and the reproduction is very good. We use a variety of paper thickness form 80gsm to 250gsm (plus some specialist transparent film)

Good quality and works well. Got it for my daughter and family. I use a WF 4545 and it has been going well for a year or two now without fault except that it refuses to link wirelessly with my HP PC, but is OK with a Lenovo Book and a Samsung Note4.Just be aware that Epson ink jets have a tendency for the jets to block if left for a few a couple of weeks between uses. And when they do, using the cleaning function can make matters worse. Never ever do more than 3 cleaning cycles. It uses stacks of ink and block up to the point where other cleaning methods find the going tough. Best advice for unblocking I've seen to-date is on www.inkmagic.comIt worked for me.Best way to prevent this happening

Got this for my son, who only had a very basic printer which was years old, so this is a great improvement on that. It is a fairly large printer, which may be a problem if desk/hutch space is at a premium and, of course, needs space above it for the top feed to operate. He wasn't impressed with the manual, but as he works in IT, he didn't have any problems setting it up and getting it connected. It is mainly used for scanning and printing (documents and photographs) and the results are very good. Not sure if the Fax feature is necessary as this is hardly used these days, but the email feature is a good additional feature. Obviously cannot comment on durability, but the printer appears quite solid and well made,

Had a HP office printer like this, which had a print head failure.The cost was a stupid amount, but I found this Epson WF3270 on offer with cashback for less then the print head....I already had an Epson A3 Photoprinter, so I went for it.You get the usual setup inks - but they worked for a surprising amount of time.Apart from the odd print head clean, this has been a great printer so far.Fast to warm up and gets the pages out fast - even on duplex.Connecting to the network was easy, as was linking to network store for scans.There are regular firmware updates which is reassuring.The Epson inks are extortionate, but there are a few decent compatibles ones.I use the Welpop ones in both Epson printers and they print well.This does give a warning they are not genuine Epson,

So easy to set up, I didn't even need the instruction manual! The printer talks you through nearly everything on the touch screen, and even prompts you for updates. Wireless print speed is exceptionally fast - so is copying - and I love the courtesy feature which gives the printer its own email address and allows you to send it pictures to print from wherever you are in the world, as long as you have wifi. Amazing! it's a sturdy little thing too but nicely sized; it will replace our older, bulkier epson. Very happy with it.
