This is called a Lip Oil rather than a lip gloss and it is less sticky than the usual lip glosses but has the same look. Heavenly Rose is a bright pink colour that I can just about pull off with my olive skin/dark hair. It is easy to apply and is non-greasy. It comes in a bottle with the black part being a lid that you take off (see picture). You squeeze the pink part in the middle and the oil comes out of the top. It's quite a novel bottle and that's nice. The only problem is I can see the lid being easily lost in a bag. This shouldn't be problem as you still need to squeeze the bottle to get the oil out but there is potential for mess...I'm sure someone will be along soon to point out that Elizabeth Arden is not cruelty-free,but their policy states that they avoid animal testing wherever they can. They sell in China and are required to test on animals to comply with Chinese law.As it's predominantly made of oil, it's very moisturising to the lips and washes off with a normal cleanser. It tastes quite coconutty, which is odd as coconut oil is listed as an ingredient but it's quite far down the list of ingredients. It's not overpowering and the lack of stickiness makes up for a lot. There' only 7g of it and so it is quite pricey. The quality of it is fantastic though and you do get what you pay for!

The gloss - This is lip gloss that claims to contain five oils to hydrate and plump up lips. This is a lovely gloss and I am now considering buying it in another colour. It feels wonderful on the lips as it is both lightweight and moisturising. I have very dry lips that chap easily and my lips felt moisturised for a couple of hours after application. I have sensitive skin but did not have any itching or tightness. The colour - the colour I reviewed was Heavenly Rose which is a very natural berry rose. I am pale with pink undertones to my skin and it looked very pretty on me. As it wore off it just made my lips look like they were naturally rosy pink. I felt the pigmentation was decent, but I am fair-skinned and I am not sure how well this would show up on darker skin. The packaging - Dear Elizabeth Arden, you need to understand that lip gloss is usually packaging in tubes for a reason! This gloss comes in a round bauble thing that is far larger than it needs to be. It takes up lots of room in my make-up bag and it is quite awkward to apply. The application part is not particularly tapered so I ended up squeezing it on my finger instead which is not great when you are out. The lid is also quite loose and could easily be knocked off in your bag.

Elizabeth Arden Lip Oil - Tropical Escape (7ml)What an unusual product! This is lip gloss for grown-ups in innovative packaging, with a clear perspex case that has a squeezable pouch of coloured product. The squeezy pouch appears to be protected from spilling (though I haven't pushed too hard on the bulb!) by the black lid, which needs to be given a half-twist to remove. The colour product itself feels lovely on the lips, and produces a light blush of colour that looks just like lip gloss. It could also be used as blusher on the apples of the cheeks. Outline the lips with lip liner pencil, squeeze the bulb so a little product comes out then apply the end straight onto the lips or use the fingers. The product gives a nice sheen to the lips without feeling at all sticky.=== NIGGLES ===* Elizabeth Arden is a Revlon brand, but at a higher price point* Revlon is not a cruelty-free company, and Elizabeth Arden still tests its products on animals* The product contains peppermint oil, which is potentially irritating to the delicate skin on the lips. For sale at the time of writing this review at £18.

I was pretty chuffed to try this product - it's well packaged with a gorgeous cardboard box. Inside is the lip balm, which is a glass jar with a lid on the top. You simply twist it around and then squeeze the little bit in the middle to get the lip balm out, which you can then apply either with your finger or directly to the lips. It's not bad - I feel like the colour is subtle but also nice to look at, mine's a hot pink shade. It is moisturising, it looks lovely on, and it's a really cute product. Admittedly it is a lot in terms of price, but I like it.

Lightweight in colour and easy to apply, I used my fingers but you could just as easily use a lip brush to press the goodness into your lips! I'm happy with the result, whether I apply in layers to build up the colour or a light coat for a more natural look. This product does not feel overly sticky on your lips and seems to absorb quickly so reapply when you think you need a top up.For 5 stars I think I would have preferred a stick to apply with – however that is just my personal preference.

This is quite unlike any other lip colour I have used before. It also has a container unlike any I have used before -You squeeze the colour filled centre, which is surrounded by a hard clear outer. You could apply straight onto your lips, but I prefer to apply with my fingertip. It gives a lovely soft pink colour, with a little shine and leaves my lips really soft with a little tingle (from the peppermint oil I think) and it has becomes a staple in my handbag now.

I find this really hydrating. More so than the stick lip salves. Also like the fact there is a good tint in it.I've had a couple of occasions when I have used this and got too much out and looked like a small child who has got into the jam pot.Having sorted that out I would recommend it as it is so moisturising.

Not so much an oil more of a balm, but is pleasant in scent and colour. It is easy to apply, the colour stay isn't great but is a good quality item. A lovely gift for the Arden lover in your life

I really like this product as it has such cute packaging and a very nice shine to the lip gloss. Would definitely recommend to anyone as a present or just a gift for yourself.

This applies a nice shine and glossy look to lips without having to use a lipstick. It has the same hydration effect as a balm. Very small and easy to carry.

I love this, it has a really subtly colour finish, a beautiful moisturising effect on my lips and the packaging is really pretty!
