I am really very impressed with this kit. I've been searching for something like this for a long time, but other options are either inferior or way too expensive.I don't use it for streaming or anything like what it was originally intended for, I use it as a quick access "launcher" as part of my workflow. It's an absolute joy to use.It gives me quick access to my most-used functions from the home page and then I've created folders (and sub-folders) for project-specific work. I use it to fire up apps, open common websites, fill-in email addresses, run command line apps, run powershell scripts, open new email messages, write quick notes in OneNote and more.Pros:- Perfect size and shape- Pretty good feel and feedback from the buttons- Display quality is great, full colour decent resolution, nice and bright- Software is great- Absolutely no lag whatsoever - instant feedback and execution of commands- Folders and Profile Switching allow for instant customisation and limitless levels of commands- You can do pretty much anything you want with it, as long as there is a command-line interface or hotkey for what you want to doCons:- The keys are slightly too squishy. Would be nice to have a little bit more sturdy. But this is a minor point.- Doesn't support animated GIFs for icons. That would be just too cool. Hope that add that in at some point.- The hotkey action only allows one keypress. This is a major shortcoming and such as shame. If it allowed multiple hotkeys this little machine would be virtually perfect. You could then program it to run short macros and combination commands in your favourite apps (like Photoshop, Visual Studio, Office, etc.) Without multiple hotkeys, the way round this is to use a macro utility (such as SharpKeys) and then fire off the macros in that using a single hotkey, which is a bit tedious.Right now I'll give it a 4.9 out of 5. If they support multiple hotkeys in the future, I'll give it 5.1 out of 5.

I brought mine to automate and simplify my application development workflow on my Mac. I have zero interest in streaming, games, Twitter or any of the other things that come out of the box :) I do not even know what Twitch is.Anyway, I wanted to try this for simplifying all the apps I do use, Bria 5 for VOIP, Xcode for development, iTerm for development, FCPX and anything else.I looked at the SDK and assumed I'd need to write either javaScript or C, both of which I'm familiar with. However so far I've done nothing programatically and just dragged and dropped things around. I was surprised as I thought I'd be deep into websockets and stuff like that. Nope.the StreamDeck console is pretty powerful out of the box and so far I haven't needed to get into coding.I've put a front profile up of all the applications I use and each of these goes to another profile specific for the application. e.g. Xcode or Bria. One really, really, really nice feature is that Streamdeck knows which application has focus so 9/10 it automatically has the right set of keys up when I change applications. This is neat and a massive time saver.I had expected to use Keyboard Maestro to do more complex stuff, but so far not needed to. However the Keyboard Maestro group are well aware of this deck and there's support for it. No idea about Windows. The Icon editor is web based and is fine, but I use Affinity Designer to create icons at 288x288. Dead simple and quick. The only criticisms I have are:1. The stand is a bit poor and flimsy.2. I'd prefer squarer keys, these are slightly rounded on the corners.3. The profile around the edge is too big.4. There's no way to make the unit rotate through 90 degrees. However, none of these are important and are personal issues and don't detract from the five stars. The only thing I regret is not buying the even bigger version.Rob

The XL version is absolutely great, although I started with two 15 key stream decks. Whatever size you go for, these are amazing little devices, that are versatile, fairly easy to set up, and can add value to so much more than streaming.I haven't stopped finding this invaluable. It's one of the best gadgets I've ever bought. I don't use this for streaming at all. With some basic functionality, I'm able to create custom buttons for anything that can have a keyboard shortcut. I was even able to work out how to get it to do more complex things. For example, I highlight a phrase in a digital book, hit one of my buttons, and it will do a search for that exact phrase. So incredibly useful and powerful. The XL version provides 32 keys, but it's easy to run out. But there are so many ways of organising to give you more (e.g. different profiles). The only thing I don't much like, is that it doesn't start up when the computer starts, despite being on the list. When I start it manually, it opens up in configure mode, which prevents it from switching profiles automatically depending on the app I'm using. Just closing the config screen resolves this. It's cool that it can be associated with a specific program and switch automatically. As I usually set up a few profiles for some complex apps, I have to go to the Streamdeck menu to switch manually. It would be great if I could tell it which profiles are associated with which apps, then configure a key to automatically cycle through these profiles, so I don't have to go to the menu each time.Overall this is an absolute lifesaver. I just wish I had time to create beautiful icons for ever function rather than do a quick copy and paste from the app I'm using.

The Stream Deck is such an amazing tool! I cannot believe how useful this item is. Before buying it, I never understood why getting it since its mainly for streaming and I don't happen to stream. I can gladly confirm that this *Doesn't* just work for streaming, I have used this for literally everything I used my computer for such as: Photoshoping shortcuts, Premiere Pro shortcuts, After Effects shortcut, Google shortcuts, Nanoleaf switch, media shortcuts (next, previous, pause) and other app shortcuts. This has significantly increased the rate at which I work on in any projects and has made the usage of opening apps for typical PC usage such a pleasure. In addition to the functionality of the Stream Deck, the looks of it is absolutely amazing on any desk when customized to your liking. The small icons that you use are very appealing with absolutely mind blowing detail - no the screen isn't like a monitor or high quality screen, however you can definitely put somewhat detailed images as icons and still clearly see them.Lastly the software, I must say, very good but Very confusing at the start! I highly recommend watching a YouTube video on how to customize it to your liking. I say it's confusing because they express their streaming compatibility on a highly overwhelming level which makes it hard to spot where all the other compatibility's are. What I mean is that the other uses to this item outside of streaming is going to require some digging in the app to find them.Overall, I extremely recommend using this for Everything that maybe easier to use with macro's. I really believe that this is something everyone Needs to increase productivity. *Highly Recommend*

I was fortunate to have received my Elgato Stream Desk product today it works excellently! You can pretty much do anything you please open web sites, open programs, assign keyboard shortcuts for anything really opening games, videos, music, photos,,programs, doing tasks in programs etc i kind of get the feeling i will not be needing my keyboard and mouse anymore since i can just open all my web site and access my stuff with the touch of a button but we'll see haha :)It works very smoothly and the software found on the Elgato web site is very easy and straight forward to use their are 15 button on the device that are your icons to assign a new folder you just put an icon on top of the other in theStream Desk app software and done.I have not even scratched the surface of what i can do with this device it defiantly will take some time to master everything but so far so good! although their two important things i must say just in case they do not effect me personally but as references i guess 1) the cable is indeed on the short side of things not long enough (Can be fixed by buying a USB Extension cable) but since my Pc is right next to me that is ok and 2) it does not support Windows 7 that might or might not turn some people off.Overall this device is lovely.

I'll start by saying this; read the headline again. The Stream Deck (15 key) is a fantastic bit of kit, albeit quite expensive and the software is intuitive and simple. Want to enable a particular source in OBS while streaming? Change scenes? Cue adverts? Mute certain audio channels? Create clips of your stream? Launch several programs with a single button press? Open webpages? Shortcut keys for photoshop/vegas etc? Macros? Soundboard? Monitor CPU usage? Each button can also be configured as folders each containing it's own 15 buttons. The software offers almost endless customisation along with personalising each button so you know exactly what you're hitting and when, and profiles can be set to load a particular set of buttons when the specified program is running/focused. Photos are just some taken during my set-upI've been using it primarily as a launcher and control panel for my streaming, but I've barely scratched the surface of the device's flexibility. The only subjective downsides for me are that the USB lead is quite short (I have a large desk) and the rubber feet don't grip all that well.Yes it's expensive for what is essentially a separate keypad, but the QOL improvement is huge and you can always wait til it's on sale.

This is a superb peripheral for any computer user, no matter what you use it for, it will use hotkeys and keystrokes which pretty much every application has for its most important functions.I don't do a lot of streaming yet but when i start this will be very useful to bring in graphics and media live as well as for switching camera without looking away while broadcasting. If you spend a few hours programming this for the software and applications you use and you will save so much time in the future when using it.The application that comes with it is easy to use and any updates are done instantly, there is no need to save changes all of the time which is nice. You can export set ups and import new ones quickly so its uses can be many.I use mine for video editing and live visuals using Final Cut Pro, Modul8, Mad Mapper and Lumen as well as using it to control music and basic computer control (copy/paste etc)Final Cut Pro and have set up 2 sets of button screens...one for basic editing and another for some of the functions i often use such as lower thirds, titles, colour correction, now i can bring them up with a single button, no more trying to find them on screen or remember the keystroke.

I dont stream. I don't go on Twitch or follow youtubers.I like technology and this appeals to me because you assign the buttons to almost any function you can think of.I want to use it for functions in Elite Dangerous and Project Cars 2.I've set up screens to enter usernames and passwords and repetitive functions working from homeLaunching all my different game launchers, websites, gaming pages and associated resourcesSwitching audio devices between my headset, Oculus, soundbarControlling my Spotify playlist and volumeDeafening/muting discordEntering chat strings in World of WarcraftI like that I can set my own icons and set up the layout exactly as I want, and that its easy to set up and to make any changes. It's a bit expensive, however it is versatile enough to keep all your regularly used stuff in one easy to access place, and doubles up as a button box for sim games and a macro pad for work and design.I only wish it had a dedicated mounting thread, removable USB cable and a better stand. I glued magnets to the stand so it would magnetise to the sim-racing rig I have hooked up to my PC.

I've had this for a good while now, when I first got it I felt it was lacking some functionality and integrations with certain software. You basically had to write commands and shortcuts to do anything other than actions in supported applications. However it has been constantly improving with more and more integrations, OBS.Live and StreamLabs OBS are both supported extensively in addition to the standard OBS now. There is Mixer support in addition to just Twitch, Youtube is surprisingly a little thin on integration still but hopefully that improves. Smart home integration and much more have all been added since my purchase but the biggest improvement is *Third Party plug in support* it's been an absolute game changer, all you have to do is search online for a particular plug in and there are even forums where you can request new ones. All in all it's great and one of my best purchases when it comes to things on and around my desk, even if you have to work a little to get Discord to launch by pressing the key. P.S. GIF support on each key is great for those who are into that. Hope this helps someone!

This works great in OBS, the open source video recording system. I can use this mini deck to switch between scenes, or more usefully for me, turn certain cameras on and off just with a quick push button. You can set up many 'pages' so you are not limited to just 6 buttons, the possibilities are endless. It probably takes about an hour to get the hang of it and decide which keys each push button will emulate and then when it all starts working you're off! It's easy.A couple of downsides, the first being the price, which by the looks of other reviews seems to have come down quite a bit lately but I still think it's not an impulse buy.Secondly, the buttons do have to be actually pushed, they are not touch-sensitive (like your phone) which would make it much better as, despite the non-slip base, it does move a bit if you have heavy-handed (like me). However, my recording desk now looks like the Starship Enterprise with some excellent functionality - it makes me wonder how I ever put up with strange CTL-ALT-KEY combinations when I now just push a single button.Amazing. Excellent tool.

Right I got this in the black friday sale for £89 and wow what a great bit of kit she is to!! Now I stream on youtube as a hobby! I'm not the best with tech stuff but this Stream deck for me is so good. I'm still learning how to use it thanks to youtube video's showing me how to do stuff on it. It says 15 buttons but I have learned that you can make a folder in a button and then put 15 things in that folder so you have so many more buttons than it says. I use OBS to stream with. So I made a obs folder for button 1. Now when I press that button I have mapped my scenes to diferent buttons in that folder I have my main stream view then a place holder saying stream about to start and a back in 5 minutes holder so all I do is press one button and it switches to it easy.I have a sound folder to play sound for different games I'm streaming :). A giff folder and a Socical media one to and I have still to learn and do more but for me someone who finds this kind of thing hard to do its made it so much easyer and a lot more fun to! I hope this helps you all.

I've been tinkering around with it for a couple of hours. Manages to set 3 different folders one for my broadcaster, one for sending out messages and another for my media player. On top of that I've added programs and sites to open. The stream deck is awful handy for those that love streaming and can do even more such as keep viewer count, send out chat messages and a variety of things for particular programs. The are some misses I hope to see in an update as starting streams on OBS and the program does suffer from crashing but the elgato stream deck hasn't even been out a week so I can look past that. Icons on the deck it self can stick when moving from folder to folder but this doesn't happen often and go soon as you move folder again.Has little to no impact on using the deck. But so far my experience with it has been good. Very user friendly and a breeze to setup. Yet to "field test it" but very much look forward to trying it out just to get more ideas of what to add.

I purchased this product to be an addition to my setup for extra hotkeys.I do a lot of video editing and the occasional livestream. This device with its 15 keys allows an endless amount of function keys due to having the sub folder feature which is very useful. The device automatically switches between profiles depending on what software you're using which nice as you don't have to keep tabbing in and out of programmes to change the profile. As the keys are LED backlit it allows you to edit each key to have its own thumbnail, and with the Elgato Key creator it makes it so useful to be able to tell what your pressing with just a quick glance at the streamdeck.Only downside to this product I have experienced so far it the length of the USB cable is a little short. However this is easily fixable with purchasing a USB cable extender. The price is a little on the higher end, however I would say that it is worth every penny spent.

A great looking product that helps speed up productivity not just for streamers but for smart home people too.+Really easy to use and get started.+Intuitive interface designer.+Display is very crisp and bright.+Keypad feels good.+Own button Icons resize very well including the display of animated gifs. For me , someone who writes music , streams , games and has multiple smart home products it's an absolute godsend of a device and well worth the price tag.Stream Deck have nailed this products, my only suggestion is that they invest more capital intellect in working with a wider range of providers to add additional features to the more actions list, i.e Amazon Alexa routines , Razer , Smartthings,Ableton , Hassio Home assistant , Nvidia Experience, Steam. That said the IFTTT integration that is out of the box creates a lot of possibilities.

I have started mucking about streaming my PC game play and watched some you tube vids that used this device. It is fully integrated with many of the streaming programs out at this time and Elagato are also pushing updates on a regular basis. Obs, Xsplit, tippeestream, Streamlabs and latest update StreamlabsOBS. As well as many other features like soundboard which you can assign sound files that can be added to stream/recording on the fly there is also a sytem set that allows hotkeys etc to be made to help with general productivity like opening programs etc. The 15 lcd screens can all be customised however you feel and can create folders/sub menus on each one so you can have far more options than just 15 commands,I.e you could set one lcd as a music folder then have 15 songs on the screens or a game folder with in game chat commands etc.
