Superb little filter suitable for small tanks and bowls. Cut intake and tubing to fit your needs and simply Prime filter by filling the canister with water and place lid in place, make sure it's locked. The noise the other reviews are complaining about is air caught in the impeller (common in canister filters) which gives a "grinding" noise and can be expelled by simply "rocking" the filter until air is gone. Once that is done these filters are absolutely silent and are very efficient little machines. Highly recommend these. As for the plug issue, I simply cut it off and put UK plug on it.

Great little filters, bought 3 of these, water in my tanks are very clear. Not so much power on them, but use them on 25L tanks and they do great. Also use one on a 60L tank and it does ok, but not optimal. Fairly easy to clean, which I don't do too often. Bought a wirebrush to clean the hoses and it takes like 2-3 minutes per tank to clean and you have full power on the filter again.

Great product for the price! Recommended for tank with no more than 40L capacity.

It's a very tiny filter, I wouldn't use in tanks larger than 40 liters
