Manages to do lots of things right without compromising too much, unlike many much more expensive bags from Samsonite and Tumi, and cheaper bags from Antler and Eastpak. For example, at 2.7kg it's actually quite light for a roller case/ backpack combo. The backpack straps are not just an afterthought but properly padded as is the back plate. There's no suspension- that's the only bad part, and no waist belt (unlike the Osprey ozone 36 convertible - has suspension... but that doesn't seem to be easily available now/ it's discontinued, plus it's more expensive). Waist belt would have allowed longer distance comfort when carrying on back, but it's fine for short distance carrying (e.g going to airport gate or over cobble stones, but not for hours). The handle for pulling as a trolley is sturdy and the wheels are pretty good. Not silent in operation but not rickety either. In fact the best thing about this product is the quality. Everything feels pretty solid, even compared to my old Samsonite hard case, which is itself very well made. In fact I returned several other cabin luggage pieces prior to settling on this one, so the build quality is apparent. The inside space is a bit tight - it says 33l total - beware that's not much more than a smaller backpack (like my pacsafe venturesafe x30 for example which is 54x30x30 cm- a whole 10cm narrower than this)....but Eagle creek do provide accurate measurements so you get what you say they get- it's a reason to learn to pack light! The only downsides for me are the colour options are all a bit meh, and I think the design is much less trendy than the osprey ozone 36 convertible (which I've already said is more expensive and harder to obtain) and the rest of the Eagle creek range. Finally the front pocket is just a massive pocket - which is great for space, but it could have contained a smaller zipped passport sized pocket perhaps. One last thing - there's no dedicated laptop pocket, but I use my laptop and soft case, slipping it into in the front pocket, and then pack shoes, cables, toiletries and clothes in the main one.Combine your packing with eagle creek packing cubes and you'll get the absolute most out of every inch of space, it's a bit addictive. Once you start appreciating the quality of the Eagle creek range you miffy not be able to stop buying all the bits!Overall a great bag, backed by the No Matter What Lifetime Warranty.

This is the perfect cabin luggage - and let me tell you scoured the entire Amazon luggage department for weeks because I'm incredibly picky. I even bought a second one for my partner because he thought it was brilliant too. This ticked all my cabin luggage boxes:- Small enough size to pass even the strictest airlines size tests.- The pulley system has two bars (as opposed to one single stick you pull on) therefore I can slide a carry-on with a back panel over it and it stays in place.- It's convertible! So if I have two large suitcases with me I just clip in the backpack straps and go.- It's actually very stylish.I have both the black and navy versions and both are beautiful little bags. They have clips on the side in case you need to reduce the exterior size of your bag for the size test. They also have light reflective patterns in case you're going to be walking around a dark parking lot! The interior is quite simple with a useful net pocket on the inside (which holds small things like eye masks and small medicine pouches). The only improvement I could see (and this is me being picky) would be to add a second set of wheels.I thoroughly enjoy this bag and recommend it to everyone.

Whilst only 78 litres and more expensive than some bags, it has been brilliant. It has a telescopic handle, has a frame for rigidity, has a hip and sternum strap & internal straps. It also has several zip up pockets, is very tough, has very strong wheels and carry handles and is easy and comfortable to carry on your back for considerable distances. I've just returned for a week's holiday using buses, trains and planes (no boats!) and it was really good. The only thing it won't do that the Cargo Hauler will is fold up into a small bag. Why would you want it to though - it's a bag anyway!I highly recommend this

I took my first 2 week trip using only my convertable carry on. It worked great with enough room for everything I needed to take. I really liked the fact that I could easily turn my wheeled carryon to a backpack once I left the airport. I also had no problem fitting it into the overhead in the plane. The only thing that would make this better would be a waist belt to help even out the weight.

Great bag, traveled through Switzerland with it and really liked it. Material is quality and it held up well. Seems like it will last awhile. I didn’t end up using the backpack option, but bought it Incase I needed it. Even though I didn’t use that part it was a good size and easy to maneuver on trains and stairs.

Very happy with my purchase. Husband needed luggage that could be carried on his back, as he was going on a USN ship, and had to climb a lot of stairs. Worked out great, as he loved it. Great value too, as Eagle Creek is excellent quality! Thanks for offering it on Amazon.

I wanted a bag that could turn up as a backpack bag as well as a roller one which could be taken along as a cabin bag. This is all in one. Good built quality and looks good too! unlimited warranty as well. Though a bit costly but worth it.

Larger that j expected but rugged and sturdy. On the downside could have more pockets for items such as passport but was aware of this when purchasing. Option to use as backpack or roller bag ideal.Ideal sports travel bag.

Emirates are tight on their sizes and this fits them and all other airlines as far as I can find. Well made and comfortable to carry on my back. Was enough for 10 day trip to India and no waiting at baggage carousel!

Very practical. I'm in love with this bag. Only improvement would be if we could roll it without having to incline the bag. Then it would be THE perfect traveling bag

Can’t wait to try it. Very well constructed and nice design details, internal sections, carrying system packs away nicely. User’s lifetime guarantee is a great plus.

- If you have 1st class seats- if you're a jerk taking up spaceI love this suitcase for all its features but "carry on" luggage it is not.
