This item was purchased to replace the original dust bin which suffered a broken lid catch. It is a genuine Dyson replacement part. It has improved the suction of the vacuum cleaner and strangely it has also improved the battery life. This is probably because the seals on the original item had deteriorated and the new dust bin with new seals is allowing the vacuum to operate efficiently as new. Delivery was prompt. It cost less than obtaining the part from Dyson and the postage was included.

My new cleaner container is brilliant! It fits perfect where my broken one did. In fact you can see through the new one a lot better than the original one, so you know when the container needs emptying more than the original one did. Plus the new container seems to be made stronger and more sturdy than the original container was.

The catch had broken off the bin so l looked at this company for a replacement after reading similar reviews .I asked if the model on the list would fit as variations varied just to be sure & was prompted to give the serial code .( recommend anyway) . Quick response . V helpful and it fits . No more tape!

I thought my Dyson V6 was finished when I had to tape the lid on the bin (which was a pain). I searched eBay which also was a bit of a pain as it was obvious that some of the bins were of dubious manufacture. I found the right one in the end and believed it to be right and genuin.

Bought to replace lid on DC59 bin when the clip which kept it closed snapped off.Very easy to change, used a screwdriver to remove the old lid, switched the rubber seal over and attached the new lid.Much better price than buying from Dyson and works perfectly.

It is an exact replacement for the original, and as such suffers with the same design defect (the latch for the bin lid is very vulnerable and breaks). This is not the fault of this particular product, it is Dyson;s failing. I am entirely happy with it.

genuine article - lot cheaper than Dyson website, but shame old one failed on the button part and had to buy the whole unit - after not much use. I wouldn't buy another Dyson as other failings especially trying to empty the container - nightmare!

I don't know if this is a genuine Dyson spare or not but it's perfect. The tube on the original was very loose and this product has sorted that problem. Now, with a new non-Dyson battery and a new tube it's as good as new, if not better!

The product itself is good but it has a design weakness which is the little plastic catch that secures the bottom flap on the bin, over time it weakens and breaks hence the need for the replacement !

Very happy arrived in 2 days, I was outbid by 50p on last second of auction. Then found this one glad I was outbid. Brand new. Free postage, fits great no more elastic bands holding dyson together.

Recommending this item, if you don't want to spend more on tge original parts. You can feel the difference in opening/closing the bottom side - but overall does the job it is supposed to do.
