My golden retriever is constantly shedding. No amount of bathing or brushing seems to prevent the perpetual breeding of dust bunnies under furniture. And she seems to have some type of magical quality that makes hair drop at a more rapid rate when going up and down stairs. Still haven't figured out how she manages to do that... Having this attachment greatly helps in keeping the furniture, stairs and even curtains dog hair free. The bristles managing to pull up the hair without damaging the carpet. The size and shape make it easy to use on narrow ares like the surfaces of the stairs. When using it on the curtains, you do need to add a bit of tension to prevent the curtain from getting sucked into the attachment.

'won' a used dyson dc50 animal on ebay, arrived yesterday, dc50 works perfectly but did not come with the turbine tool. ordered the tangle free turbine tool yesterday evening, arrived just after lunch. it fits the dc50 and does what it says on the tin. my bed is hair free for the first time in months, the couch is hair free, the dogs bed is hair free. noise level was acceptable tho i have reminded myself of my memories of a marine gas turbine start-up which is distinctly noisier. :) i think i may buy the dyson dog groomer tool next week.p.s. - the dyson dc50 animal is small, like my flat, but strong, like my saluki lurcher.

Changed my life. My wife stood in astounded shiock as I opened my amazon parcel in a frenzied excitement, like a deprived child on christmas morn. I ran out to my car, turned on my dyson, and wide eyed pushed my tangle free tool, spinning and making a reassuring noise that screamed power, towards my back seat. The plague of dog hairs didn't know what him them. Previously stubborn, entrenched, their attempts of defience were nothing short of futile. After my car had been cleansed, I took a moment to reflect on what had just happened. A lesser man would have shed a tear, touched by the moment, but I couldn't help but think not of the challenge that on this day had been overcome,

I bought mine from Dyson when they first came out. I have an old animal DC08 and it fits perfectly and does the greatest job of ANY vac head Ive ever had! This IS a better price than Dyson, so I am buying as a spare as I do not want to be without should my 7 year old one give out! Those who said dont waste your money as nuts. I will say, though it DOES pick up dust, it is not as good with that as the regular head, and as I have 2 Australian Shepherds and need to vac every day to keep up with *OUR* dust/hair removal...I do vac twice, but, not everyone would need to do that. I do because I have allergies as well, to dust, not to the dogs.in the 7 years I have had mine, I have NEVER had to untangle one single thread,

Rather stupidly we bought new sofas which were a matt dark colour and we didn't think about the issue of pet hair (we have 2 cats and a dog). We were so disappointed when we realised how bad the fur made the sofas look and I couldn't get anywhere near all of the hair off with normal Dyson attachments. This product has made a huge difference! You can genuinely get every single hair off the sofas if you spend a little time on it and it even works over the button areas of my fabric Chesterfield style sofa! My only slight concern is that the movement of the rotating brushes over the cushions may age them more quickly but not a problem at the moment.

Wow. Really. WOW!I have relatively cheap short pile carpets in cream - yes, lunacy I know. I also have a black cat and very long, copper wool-like hair myself. As you might imagine my carpets have looked lousy for some considerable time. I was thinking new carpet or new Dyson - both significant expenses - when I spotted this tool, and, at under £40, decided it was worth a try.And WOW. The difference is amazing. My Dyson is a DC32 animal, so not one of the newer powerful models, but nevertheless my carpets look almost new. Can't recommend this tool highly enough.Wow. Again and really, truly, just WOW.Only complaint I can come up with is can we please, please have a full size version?!

It's not supposed to work with a hand-held but as we have a normal Dyson I thought I'd give it a go anyway. It does work with the DC34 hand-held albeit I suspect not at its best. The brush heads rotate okay, but as its brushes are driven by suction only there is a drop off as the battery fades fairly quickly. When it's fitted to the hose of a normal Dyson cleaner its a great little tool which flicks the dirt and hair up as you go and pulls it directly into the machine without tangling the brushes. Ideal for cleaning dirt and dog hairs off fabric furniture and the car floor mats and seats. You could argue its not an essential purchase but for what it does it does really well.

Was sceptical at first but this brushes the heck out of the carpet leaving it sparkling clean. Using just suction feels like only half a job now!Does not work with cordless hoovers such as the V6 or V8, they just don’t have enough power.I was getting crazy hair tangles in my V6 that has a spinning brush, but this sucks up long hair with no issues at all. The brushing motion really gets down into thick rugs and carpets and dislodges dust.Probably quite hard on the carpet but it certainly works!Only negative is that the tool is quite narrow, so you have to put more work in to cover a large area. For an occasional deep clean though it really is the best.

Wow....Ordered this on Monday arrived on the Wednesday..Had just Hoovered my carpet when this attachment arrived,bought it because We have a Very Hairy Italian Spinone puppy and I could Not get all the hair up from the carpet and after reading all the reviews on here decided to give it a try as Cheaper than buying a new Dyson for pets Hoover,Wow I have just used it and I'm so impressed,lifted All the Dog hairs right off my Carpet with very little effort and wasn't as noisy as I was expecting after reading the reviews,couldn't recommend highly enough and saved me the cost of a new Dyson X

I purchased it as I have a lot of animals (7 cats), 2 of which are semi-longhairs and shed their very fine fur all over the place. I already had a Dyson City with the first style of head to clean the stairs. This worked well but did tangle anything around the brushes and it was almost impossible to get it clean after use. I liked the fact it said it was tangle-free and so far so good. Still not as powerful as taking my big Dyson Animal upstairs to do the landing, wish you could take that head off and attach it would be the ideal but this Is a good second best.

Well designed extra bit of kit. I took a chance and ordered it for my Dyson V6 trigger handheld which I bought for ease of stair carpet cleaning amongst other uses. It does fit and works but as noted by another user if you press down as hard as you might expect you need to, the brushes stop. Trick is to use it lightly and in my case use the high power vacuum setting and it does the job reasonably well. Worth remembering that this is only driven by air flow and not a fully powered brush head, so you gets what you pay for! I still like it.

Wow - what a gadget. I have two Jack Russells who shed all the time and a husband who does not understand "please do not let the dogs on the new furniture" [edited!]. After fighting a losing battle for over a year now I have finally found something that works and does not take forever to lift their hair from the sofas. I love, love, love this. I would not attempt to do the whole carpet in any room but as an upholstery gadget it simply rocks. Gone is my bad tempered, crying with rage Saturday morning cleaning chore.

I use this with the Dyson DC33 and the V6 and works great with both.I find it makes hoovering the stairs effortless and that includes the cat hairs.Usually I would use the small stair tool and would take quite a bit of effort, now with the turbine tool its done in minutes. I am pleased with my time saving purchase :)this is just a small attachment not a full sized one so not sure id hover a full room with it. I use it on the stairs and also just a quick going around on the hard floors downstairs on the v6.

I purchased this gorgeous gadget as a replacement for an animal turbo brush which fitted an earlier Dyson.It is most useful for removing the debris left by my cat when he has been sleeping on the bed.Although intended for the DC26 cylinder vacuum, it also fits my DC34 cordless handheld, which is a big plus point as it means not having to drag out the main machine for a small job.The construction and look of this item is first rate - almost a work of art.Okay, I admit to being a Dyson fan.

Excellent, works very well with my DC14. Finally can get those awkward bits of hair that previously needed sticky tape wrapped around my hand in a laborious task.
