I had only used traditional packs before trying the 22SL. The lightness and balance are incredible by comparison. On an all-day hike, I carried more weight than I usually do, and at no time did I feel the need to shift the pack for comfort. There was no pain anywhere, and I never felt as though it was pulling me around as my traditional pack can. My nine-year old hydration bladder (not a Deuter product) decided to leak on this trip. Though my butt got wet from leakage from the bottom, the items inside the main compartment next to the bladder stayed completely dry, even at the bottom. I don't know how I did without this pack!

I use this as a hiking daypack. The back keeps me cool even on those hot summer hikes, and the rain cover has saved me on more than one occasion.
