Love, love, love this bag!It's gorgeous, shower resistant, very light & thin and has just the right amount of pockets (including 2x very strong bottle holders + an excellent elastic at the front to hold a jacket/yoga mat etc). Also has fab fleecy pocket at top for delicates ('phone, sunglasses, goggles).Very wide opening so access is easy, and the size is perfect for most things (day to day work, light hiking, skiing/gym).I was concerned about the lack of padding on the straps but fear not, they are super comfy- perhaps the extra width of them spreads the load well.Finally, the sternum strap is great but am knocking off 1 star because (as others have mentioned), it requires a waist strap,

I've been annoyed with my small backpack for a while and decided to upgrade, and this one is perfect for the gym - it fits all my gear plus some extra space for shopping. I personally don't use nor understand the point of the strings on the front, but it also has a front pocket so quite handy. Be aware that the bottle holder mesh on the side only just fits a half liter bottle, it's very tight. The material is very plasticky and thin, but that does make it lightweight and probably waterproof.

This backpack is perfect. it's light weight, has three pockets, comfortable and very breathable shoulder straps and looks great. The front cable straps are super handy to hold a jacket or something small. Perfect for day hikes or a small sized traveling pack. The colors are pretty true from the pics to real life. Love the feminine color and shape.

I love Dakine products! Always long lasting quality and durability. This is my son's 2nd Dakine school backpack and no other student has the same one, thank goodness; no mixed up.
