This game is amazing fun for our 4 year old & her friends ( needs verbal guidance sometimes is all but she taught her mum to play ) . Great fun for us if we play with her , not sure we could recommend it for adults playing by themselves though ( maybe if very drunk , otherwise wait and hope Gordon Ramsay makes a version that could be real entertainment :) ) .The controls are mostly very intuitive & obvious in a fun way . As said by other reviewers it helps teach about food & cooking . Graphically it is simple but in a nice , pleasant style that we found made it very easy to pick up & play ( even when you're 4 ) . Mama herself is repetitive in her comments but for us at least not annoyingly so .Overall we'd recommend it & if you can get it cheap (

i bought this because my son said he wanted it hes only 5 so i thought why not and i have to agree with most people have been saying its rubbsh for adults but great fun for the kids it certainly gives him a better understanding of how the controls work i would not buy i for myself but he loves it so if u an adult only rent or borrow it for kids yeah get it he seems now to understand why it takes me ages to cook things in the kitchen:)

Hi I bought this game with my 8 year old daughter in mind. I've had a go and it does nothing for me. However my daughter and my nephew (aged 5) have been glued to the wii ever since. I think the game does have merit because even though the graphics and controls are crude, my kids are gaining a greater insight into how meals are prepared without the risks of cuts and burns. And a big plus is I don't have to taste what they Produce :)

My Fiance & I have had many funny evenings battling each other on this game. It could be better as it does not have much of a storyline but it does provide a good laugh when playing with others. The chopping motions & some of the other actions do provide an excellent arm workout similar to that of the boxing tasks on Wii Fit which you certainly feel the day after!

A really fun game, but could have done with a bit more explanation of how to work different screens. It's fairly quick to work out yourself though and will be easy to use once you've played it a few times. Great fun for all the family!

I thought this was a recipe book so I could rustle up some hot meals while being a gamer. Mama gave me nightmares though and i still don't know how to cook anything besides beans on toast.

good game but sometimes some of the actions are a little too difficult for the younger players - not as easy as the dsi or dsixl. so maybe wait till they're a little older for it x

This is a fantastic game with little touches that make it fantastic, such as the variety of recipes, the score system and the unique controls. A must have for Wii.

My grand daughter is now very interested in how meals are prepared. She is a lively 5 year old and this game keeps her interested.

Bought this as a gift for a 7 year old. He liked it but I am not sure how long the interest will last. It is a very simple game.

Graphics are excellent, great audio, the whole game keeps my 5 yr old grand daughter quiet and she absolutely loves it.

The original cooking mama. Not as good as the ds version as its controls are a bit tricky but still a good play.

Great for seven year olds, lots of different recipies. Sometimes the instructions are a little unclear.
