Not being of the kind to be glued to the PS2, this has taken a couple of months to play. And it must be said, it is good fun, although I found it pretty easy. There are arrows to tell you where to go next; renewable health at no penalty, and body armour that takes a lot of punishment before putting you in trouble. It's certainly easier than Castle Wolfenstein, and far less complex than Deus Ex to play. There is no interaction with characters required as it is linear (other than killing most of them, of course), no bonus points to collect so no incentive to do extra tasks, and even the end is routine. The point is though, that the game is what it claims. A story spread over several missions, and your job is to do various tasks while finding ways to delete the enemy. If you are looking for no more than that, it is perfect. And, for those who enjoy Tom Baker's acting, he is featured throughout. All in all, this will keep you absorbed, but you may feel it could have been more challenging.

It's very much like a 007 game that had it's license revoked, the story involving a foreign weapons dealer is straight out of Bond, hell you even get a female assistant, whose, without wishing to spoil things,'death',is far more emotional than a certain FFVII's childish lego people mourning over another lego person who get's killed by another lego...The graphics whilst being 'simple' are very solid and varied,no clip-art buildings here, the voice acting is splendid although some of the swearing is a little uncalled for,the objectives are different too, although they nearly all amount to 'go here,do this' they don't seem abstract or spread out just to make a game of it.The gore level almost surpasses Soldier of Fortune, almost,it's not so liberal with the red stuff, the multiplayer (with bots)is a fun distraction too,it's no Timesplitters but at least it's go bots,it's online too.The only flaw,it takes up over 2000kb on a memory card!

Published at the end of the PS2 era, this FPS is a must have for fans of the genre. It is as linear as a pencil, but so much fun. Largely overlooked, but much better than any Bond FPS on this console, it has an interesting story, great voice acting, varied level design, and brutal graphics which include the best particle effects I have seen on the PS2. I have not enjoyed severed limbs so much since "Soldier of Fortune" on the Dreamcast.Collectors can pick this up for a song now, and I guarantee you won't regret it!

solid shooting game for the PS2 and very Bloody. you shoot the bad guys and there is blood everywhere just like todays action films. it would have been good if it had been a James Bond game though but its still very good. you can shoot anything around you and it blows up. good game and cheap to buy too.
