Good quality, well made (metal) and does the job well. Not the cheapest but probably as good value as any when you consider the quality. You don't want to damage any threads on an expensive lens or filter for the sake of a few pounds.I does exactly what it supposed to. Just remember that this allows you to use a 77mm filter on a 67mm lens, not the other way round. It is very useful if you have a 77mm circular polariser or similar and own lenses with both sizes. Much cheaper than buying two sizes of filter.

Well made product from Cokin, makes a cheaper alternative to buying filters of the same type in different sizes i,e neutral density, colour correction,four pointed star, or filters you may only use very seldom.You can if not careful end up with vignetting in the corners of the image, I have found this more prevalent on wide/very wide angle lenses, but may occur on other lenses as well.To work out which ring you need step up or step down the first number is lens size the second is filter size in both cases.

I have over 20 49mm filters for my Pentax ME Super. I bought this to use them with my new Nikon digital camera. After the first day it became stuck on the 52mm UV filter I had put on the new camera. Six weeks later, I managed to free it with the aid of a very fine blade on a Swiss Army knife. Moral; don't screw it on too tight! Apart from that, it's great, saving me a lot of money when I need to use a 80A or B or some close up lenses.Recommended. C.C.

I recently bought a 67mm Hoya filter to fit on my Nikon 70-300VR and 18-70 lens which both have a 67mm thread, no problem there, but my Sigma 105 Macro has a 58mm threadI wasn't sure about the details of 'step-up' and 'step-down' (do I step-up the lens thread, or do I step-down the filter thread ?!) - but took a gamble anyway and bought this ring, which turned out to be exactly what I needed;

This ring is a very inexpensive way do get the most out of your camera filters. It save you the trouble of having to buy and carry a lot of different sized filters. I love it so easy to use. Just be careful not to screw it on to tight, or it is very difficult to get off

This step up ring is light but very strong, I found it screwed to my lenses without any problems and stayed secure when in use. There has been no binding of the tread and have been able to remove easily after some months of use.

A simple enough product, seems to be well made. The only detraction is that it doesn't have the diameters imprinted on the edge, so if you have a lot of these adaptors it might be hard to identify.

If you need a step-up ring to use filter holders on a 52mm ring, you can't go wrong with this. It's a sturdy metal ring, and does it's job! Not much more you could say!! Recommended.

Does what it says. Screws on quite smoothly. Does not get stuck with either the filter or the lens. Quite happy with the product and for the price, I think its a decent buy.

As far as step up rings go, then it does the job and it does it well, as for it's quality - well, it's what you'd expect from Cokin, you get the best from the best

Works well, very easy to connect ( just don’t over tighten on lens or you may have problems ), metal made unlike the cheaper “Plastic” ones.

11.6.2013

As expected with Cokin filters this ring was well constructed and of good quality. It screwed onto the filter and lens with little effort.

Plastic step-up ring, so maybe not ideal for lots of use as I guess it may wear out. Still, no problems for my occasional use.
