I got the tardis mini set for christmas as a fun gift. It's my first lego type thing for 30 years (yes I'm old and all my old lego I gave my son is now sitting in the garage - waiting for me :)). Anyway. Both characters are really nice. The tardis is a little fiddly to put together, especially the doors. I only have two gripes. When you open the doors your going to have a real job trying to close both of them, there's no handles and no way to push the doors from the back. The other gripe is the build quality, I know it's not lego, but most (if not all) of the blocks have a little white dot on one side from how it was manufactured which is really annoying.I spent half the build time rotating the blocks so the white dots were out of site. There are more stickers than you need (unless I put it together wrong and the tardis should actually have five sides?). I guess this a good thing if you muck up a few while putting them on. I read a previous comment that mentioned that the light comes off the top really easily, so, for the first time ever I've actually glued the light on the top so I don't lose it while it's on my desk at work. Now onto the next set ;)

I have exclusivley collected lego for over 30 years since I was a child but this TARDIS playset has made me smile in way I have not for a long time. I am not one of those collectors who buys the kits and leaves them boxed the pleasure has always been in the construction and this kit, small and bijou though it is delivers. Character Building may be a new venture in the construction toy world but their execution of this kit really promises great things, ok so the finished article has a low 'swooshability' factor with a fiddly door arrangement and some build instability but just having a buildable TARDIS,11th Doctor figure and even Amy Pond is truly fantastic.I for one cannot wait for the larger TARDIS interior kit and the 11 Doctors collection later in the year.

I'd agree that the TARDIS is fiddly to put together but then so are loads of wee 'Lego' things. My 6 year old needed help with it (not that I minded!) and she really enjoyed playing with it. Agreed, the TARDIS lamp pops off, but all you have to do it put it directly on instead of using the mini brick underneath it. It stays on fine if you discard the brick. The mini figures are great and the best thing about it all is that the set is totally compatible with Lego. I thought it was great for the money- if it had been made by Lego it would easily have cost twice as much.

I really like this TARDIS set from Character Building, here's my opinion:TARDIS Mini-set: The Doctor and Amy have been detailed very nicely, as the TARDIS, but with the TARDIS, it is very tricky and very fiddly to put together, the doors are especially tricky, but otherwise, once built, it is a very good toy which finishes the set. Overall, I think it's great, but my only improvement is if it was easier to build the TARDIS. Otherwise, it's a great set and I highly recommend it to everyone. 9.9999999999999999999999999999999/10

Molly is a big Doctor Who fan. And she especially loves Amy Pond. She's 7 and didn't have any problem putting it together. The inside has a printed paper scene of the inside of the Tardis (although unfortunately it is no bigger on the inside). It would have been nicer if there were something on the door to grip it to open it. But if you turn it on its side and give it a bang, the doors will open. Or if you have fingernails you may be able to pry it open.

My First purchase of Character Building Doctor Who series. Fun model of Tardis supplied with Doctor Who and Amy Pond. Good quality bricks totally compatible with Lego. Tardis a little tricky to build so younger children may need help. Doctor Who and Amy Pond figures are fun, with lots of character. My only complaint would be no base plate is supplied to mount the Tardis and characters on so finished up using Lego baseplate, otherwise good value for money.

A great gift for any Dr Who and Lego fans. My 7 yr old loved it! Building it was fun (although a little fiddly at times). However, once built it is very delicate and will fall apart if you are not careful! Unfortunately the door fell off beyond repair. It didn't matter though. The little Dr & Amy figures are great. Despite it's pitfalls, still got a thumbs up.

For my grandson, who will be 7 in May, along with the Ultimate Tardis Playset and the Tardis Mini Construction Playset. All will be wrapped in Doctor Who gift wrap, and he will get a talking card (Dalek). As a special treat, I'm taking them to the Doctor Who Experience, end of May... with an extra surprise thrown in!

I am a big fan of Doctor who and got this for my 6 year old Grandson. It came with stick on windows that are a little fiddly to put on but looks great when done. The pieces also fit on a well known building brick product.Well worth the money if you consider it comes with The Doctor & Amy.My Grandson loves it.

My son has been looking for Dr. Who Lego for a while now so I was pleased to see this set and promptly bought it. It works seamlessly with Lego parts and figures and he is delighted with it. From my point of view, I found the doors a bit tricky to align when putting the tardis together so be patient!

Would reccomend this to young or old doctor who fans, brilliant quality, easy to build, alot of people i had read reviews about this product before complained about the flimsiness of this item, but unless you have kids that are younger,it is perfect

Item is alot better than lead to believe by other reviews. Solid construction and no loose bits. Easy to understand instructions and well worth the money paid. A good addition to any Dr Who collection

It looks like Lego and builds like Lego, but it's not made by them. It's a nice little set that sits on a shelf in my office. I wouldn't buy more than one set, that would be way to nerdish.

My 9 and 4year old love this. They have since copied the tardis and made another, Amy and the Dr dont mind which one they travel in!!!Hours of fun. Excellent set.

Great fun, and an uber nerdy gift, but the quality of the blocks lets it down a little bit. I had to glue the light on the top of the tardis :(
