Really attractive box and great detail and quality of the CARS and track. Simplicity to set up but note the use of the rather uncommon C type batteries- had to scurry out Christmas Day to get those. Couldn’t locate the Barrier images as shown on the box at first - they are on the reverse side of the red card under the car holder moulds! Cars even without barriers stay on track unless full throttle and some elevating of the bends allows even faster cornering. Note this track is only a figure of 8 - 2.4m very small! (an alternate heart shaped layout without a fly-over which uses all the available track pieces can be made) other box sets in the Carerra Disney CARS line-up offer longer tracks and/or alternate CARS to Cruz - Storm for instance,

Bought this for my 3year old grandson's birthday and he loves it, the cars actually stay on the track when cornering at speed so no frustration and tears. All in all the cars are of good quality and the track can be extended when the time comes, I must say though that it was a bit expensive but the cars are from the Pixar movies so what do you expect, wasn't going to be cheap.

Bought for my son and daughter, combined with 3 other Carrera first packs to extend the track- my research found that no track packs or other Carrera brands (go, 143, 135 etc) are compatible - works very well, my kids love it! Even my wife approved... which is a big, if unexpected, plus point!

Surprisingly good quality and great fun for younger drivers. It is well built/sturdy and the cars don't go too fast, allowing the younger drivers to enjoy the race without the cars flying off the track. The cars are also nicely detailed despite the smaller scale

Great first cars racing set. We sent this directly to our grandson so haven't seen it in action. He apparently would only let on one car at a time (but that's just him) When two go, both work and stay on track most of the time. I think good value for price.

Bought for our son this Christmas. One of the cars is MUCH faster than the other so fair racing is out of the question but... as a starter for our 4yo it is decent. A little flimsy but our son absolutely adores it.

It’s a great product but one of our cars was a fair bit slower than the other which spoils the racing fun a bit. Other than that it’s very good. A mains adapter would be a good alternative to batteries

A REALLY good product, well packaged (terrific idea to make the packaging PART of the finished product!), easy to assemble my 18 month old grandson loves it ... very ease to use and enjoy

After reading some reviews I was worried about what was going to turn up but the item was exactly as pictured. It’s great for a first scalextric set. My 2 and 3 year old boys love it!

My Nephew and dog love it :PEasy to put together and the cars pieces look and fill sturdy for little hands, but Cruz (the yellow car) like to fly off the track sometime. haha

Our grandson is an advanced 15 month old and absolutely loved this racing set although with adult supervision , very easy and quick to setup

Good value for money.we've all had a little go of this item, good fun and nostalgic.3 year old loved the little cars that came with this.

Bought as a Christmas present for my nephew who loved it. was a bit fiddly to assemble but once you done it hours of fun was had..

Great product but a bit pricey for what it is. Would recommend especially if your child is into Disney Cars.

My daughter and her Dad loves her first Scalextric set. Easy to set up, goes well, easy to work for kids.
