Bought this for our 5 year old. He loves it, and quickly learnt how to get the karts around the track without sending them flying off at the corners. We usually play a 'lapping' racing where the winner is the first one to 'lap' the other. Great fun!Great things about Scalextric Race Karts set:- The karts are held onto the track with magnets which allows racing at quite high speeds- There is enough track provided to construct countless different circuits- The maximum speed of the controllers can be 'dialled down' for kids- Its compact - perfect for tabletop racing- Its much, much cheaper than the conventional Scalextric setsBad things:- Upgrades (additional track/cars)

Brilliant system. My 6 year old loves it. Is fast and being able to built at least 9 different tracks means it doesn't get boring. Is very easy to slot and un-slot the track pieces together and the karts are quite robust as have been crashed a number of times without damage! Good value for money.Only down side is there aren't too many different cars to buy at this size if you want to change the karts. That doesn't take anything away from this good value product.

My son has been nagging me for months for a scalextric, as we do not have a lot of space we decided to buy a micro version. It is great fun and can fit on a dining room table, which is great for a small home. The cars can fly off if they are push to the limit, so be careful if you have them on the table. My kids love playing with the smaller vehicles and the ability to see all round the track easily. The price was perfect to at $50!

Excellent Value and good fun - bought for a 6 year old, easily put together and no requirement for crash barriers as the cars have a magnetic attachment to the track to prevent all those spin offs and picking ip cars ( though they do spin off as you would expect but not excessive as what would happen if you let a 6 year old boy loose with a full size scale electrix.Good size when built up fir nicely on a table

I bought this for my 5 year old nephew for Christmas....he loved it! It was easy enough for him to slot the pieces together but needed help to create the finished racetrack. It kept him and other family members entertained for hours.The fact that you can add on to it is great too. Overall a really good buy.

it did what i said it would my son enjoyed it a bit boring after a while but then i am an adult playing with my son. my only negative was the packaging itself or lack of good job my son wasnt home as it was not covered and looked like something from a second hand shop

Great little set. I like being able to adjust speed on each trigger so cars don't fly off when my kids are using it. One car sticks a little more than the other...I think the magnets on it are much stronger

Bought for my grandson 7th birthday he was absolutely thrilled. Downside was the packaging of the product rather tatty looked more like a second hand box and very flimsey

Bought for my boys aged 5 & 3 for Christmas. We've been playing it constantly since Christmas Day. They love it as do all the adults! Brilliant! Came with a UK plug.

great starter set for 6 year old but car rarely comes off track at full power if layout is simple. could do with al lap timer added to the set for the price.

Great but the go karts sit quite high so get ready to have the obligatory books either side of the track to raise the bridge supports.

Track is a little fragile, great when it works but even out of the box it was hard to get all sectors running.

Good set, just be aware that's it's a euro plug so get an adaptor!
