Need to join two different types of track together and these do the job. They're dull, boring and should not be needed at all, but since Scalextric changed the connector utterly necessary.Worth noting that there are two connectors in the pack rather than just one. I brought two packs not realising and in the end used all four connectors and actually could do with some more. I know the description says so, but didn't read it properly.

After watching James May's TV series I had to get the old Scalextrics out of the loft. I had recently acquired some new track that was incompatible with my old stuff so needed to buy the converter (good work Hornby, nice little earner ;-) ... Series 3, Super 4 and System 6 ring any bells). Even with the pre Christmas snow, the track arrived quickly and intact so pleased with supplier and product.

A pack of 2 pieces of 1/2 Standard length Scalextric track for connecting new track to a section of previous Classic track and for the return to new track further round the combined circuit you have built. New and previous classic cars both traversed the join without issues.

I use two of these converter straights to fit in a modern analogue power base onto Scalextric classic track,allowing me to use two transformers to operate each lane independantly.What more to say,they work perfectly and i'm very pleased with the result.

works perfectly and let's you make use of your old classic tracks and combine them the modern sports tracks.they fir in between both types of tracks just right no connectivity problems what so ever

Converter track works great added my old style track to my new track almost trebled the size,wife's not happy.anyway I digress track arrived on time packaged well and all done thanks

worked very well as we had old scalextric set and just bought new set for son using this extended our set very well son over moon.

Connected well to old style track. I had also bought 4 new style straights and the cars showed no difference between old and new

This converter allows inter connection of old type "Classic" track with new style track (not Start) as promised in description..

Not much to say here. It does its job flawlesly but it could work out expensive if you need more than a few pairs

Fantastic! Was able to connect my sons' new scalextric to my 30 year old set. Huge track which they both loved!
