The cars in this set are definitely my favourite amongst many of the sets available. However I would really like to see a little variation in the parts of the track on offer rather than changing the two cars you get in the set and the box lid...Both cars seem to hold the track better than some others I've played with. I thought the formula 1 cars were light weight and grippy but these seem to be better, tyre compounds all seem the same so must be something to do with the weight balance perhaps. I still don't like the lap counter and would prefer to see this upgraded with something better. Also starting cars right on the start line is a issue that comes with most sets due to the lap counter getting in the way,

OK, I have to admit that I'm getting on in years these days, however I have a lot of fond memories of playing with my original scalextrix with my twin back in the 80's, I had the classic John Player Special racing car and my twin had the yellow lotus. We loved designing our own race tracks and probably spent a lot of more time putting the cars back on the track than we did on actual laps.But that said, it was a great time for us and when I saw this modern version I couldn't resist it. OK its not for a child and its a bit of a luxury trip back in time but I can see the two of us having a lot of fun with this as well as modifying the tracks alongside getting more pieces and making something pretty special now that we're older.The controls are just as I remember,

I loved Scalextric sets back when I was a boy having not played with one since it was interesting to see if any of that old magic was still there. Included are snap together track pieces, two cars and two controllers.This Scalextric set can be configured to form four different track configurations (for a bit of variety). The two cars (one GT and 1 LMP) are liveried with the iconic Gulf racing colours. Once assembled these give hours of great fun, with lap counters included so you see who is in the lead, these are slightly easier and less prone to flying off the track to the last time I used these which means more racing time and less fishing them from under some furniture they have flown under.

Track doesn't clip together great .the red controller doesn't change speed .one car is a lot faster than the other . Cars flies off track if speed is not controlled . This is ideal as the idea is race that requires skill .I need to look at the tracks and see if I can get it to clip together right .I have looked at the track and just requires a screwdriver to lift plastic clips underneath to lock togetherI always wanted on of these as a kid in the early 80's but ended up with TCR set but even with its faults it's great fun !! The 6 year old loves it and explains to me that I am going to fast into the corners and that's why cars fly off . .

Track is great and super exciting for kids to use. Easy to assemble and cars look awesome. Our boys were really happy on Christmas Day unwrapping it before we found out that one of the controllers didn't work straight out if the box. Did lots of testing to eliminate issues and isolate the problem. Product was cited as 'used - like new' which on this occasion was sadly not the case.

The scalextric arrived as expected, well packed for delivery, it was easy to set up and the cars we got with were nice looking, not long after we started playing with it there was an issue with 1 of the controllers, contacted the company and with great customer service they had sorted our issue out immediately. Great company speedy service

I bought this for a christmas present, so not able to comment on product as not been opened or used yet, but it was as described, looks great fun and well packaged with a speedy delivery. Thank you!

Scaled cars and track, not scaled fun ! Only downside, could do with an extra piece of track or two.

Bought as Xmas gift. Simple to set up and take a part, hours of fun has been had by all the family.
