This is a great addition to the Anki track system, but I am a bit puzzled by the price. It seems very expensive, even allowing for the fact that it probably has some clever electronics that enable it to be controlled by your smart phone...In any case, leaving that aside, this item is a lot of fun. It initially moves a lot more slowly than the cars, but you can press an accelerator on your smart phone and it gradually builds up speed until it finally enters "rage mode", where it steams past the other cars and sends them either spinning off the track, or meandering along in a seemingly confused fashion and occasionally driving in the wrong direction on that track. It has two other modes of attack,that affect cars it is either overtaking or that try to overtake it.You need to buy the starter set of course for this to work: this set comes with several track pieces that can be configured in various ways, and two standard cars. For those not familiar with this system, it's a great alternative for younger (8+ recommended) players, as it is nit as difficult to keep your car on the track as some racing car sets are. The track pieces attach magnetically, and the set up with the smart phone apps to control the vehicles is pretty simple (we had a few hiccups, but none that took more than 30 seconds to work out). And once it's up and running, it works remarkably well. The additional attack options make this more interesting than a typical car race game, but it's still easy enough to operate that you people can use it too. I suspect children as young as 4 or 5 could even use it, with adult supervision.

This is a great addition to the Anki Overdrive game, although depending on how you use it, it can be somewhat overpowered compared to the cars.While on one android device the truck was detected and working quickly, on another (a Huawei P9), several attempts at the truck setup were needed before it was detected. Once set up, though, it worked perfectly on subsequent occasions.The truck is controlled in a similar way to the cars, but with its own unique weapons. However the accelerator is more, well, like an accelerator. Instead of having a speed-setting slider, you have an accelerator pedal. Keep it pressed down for longer and the truck speeds up, release it and the truck slows down.Get enough speed for enough time and you build up 'Rage' that magnifies your attacks.The truck is seemingly faster and definitely has more powerful attacks than the cars, so a truck vs car battle or race is likely to be one sided. However, the new Takeover play mode addresses this - the players start in control of the cars, and need to take control of the truck by attacking it - they retain control until another player does the same. Having the truck controlled by the computer while players compete in cars in the other modes is also a good strategy. (Or get both trucks and do truck vs truck, I guess).I've previously had both Scalextric Digital and REV. The Anki Overdrive system, for me, combines the best elements of both - and the trucks are a worthwhile expansion to that system. Bravo!

Note to any perspective purchasers this is an ADD ON PEICE!!!! You must have the starter kit to use it!With that done it's an amazing bit of technology that brings the old school fun of a scale trick track into the modern multi platform smartphone age. The truck itself has various modes and although starts off slow when it reaches speed this juggernaut hit is hard to beat.The starter kit comes with various pieces of track, charging station and cleaning materials as well as 2 super cars but having the truck makes the whole experience so much better.

Be careful with purchasing this item ,if you have fast and furious edition. As anki no longer exist you can't update this truck on anki app.digital dream labs who brought anki do have an app for updating overdrive but not the fast and furious carsSo if you updated app to except the truck you would lose the use of fast and furious cars on the new app .

Got this for my sons xmas present and ge loves the way it rams the other cars off the track! Itt isn't as fast as the other cars but what do you expect its a truck, great accessory though.

grandson loved it - the Anki cars and track may be a tad expensive but totally worth it as they are superb to use and watch being used- grandsons both had a blast with them

My Son is very happy with the truck and excited to play with it every day. Not as quick as the other cars, but not sure if he would be able to control it if it was quicker

Biggest hit in our family. Everybody gets hooked on overdrive. It really works well. The truck stays mostly in lane and if not it is easy to put back. Super fun.

A great addition to the game and makes it more of challenge when playing King of the Hill. Only drawback is it struggles to go under the risers
