Really attractive box and great detail and quality of the CARS and track. Simplicity to set up but note the use of the rather uncommon C type batteries - 4 of which are needed. Cars even without the supplied barriers fitted stay on track unless full throttle and some elevating of the bends allows even faster cornering. Note this track length at - 2.9m is a medium size package - with two extra straights ( one being a chicane) and two extra curves over the smaller set. An alternate layout without a fly-over which uses all the available track pieces can be made. Other box sets in the Carerra Disney/Pixar CARS range aren’t interchangeable for instance this Carrera First set is battery powered with 1:50 scale track and cars,

Bought for three year old grandson who loves all things "Disney Cars".The track is easy enough to assemble though it does easily come apart too if enthusiastic players "nudge" it while racing, and it doesn't take up a lot of floor space.It does use odd size "C" batteries, not the usual AA or AAA types so make sure you buy them to avoid disappointment.The cars stay on the track really well at full speed so even an inexperienced three year old can "drive" without stopping every couple of seconds to replace the car on the track.All in all, good value for money, and delivered well ahead of the promised date too.

Bought for my son and daughter, combined with 3 other Carrera first packs to extend the track- my research found that no track packs or other Carrera brands (go, 143, 135 etc) are compatible - works very well, my kids love it! Even my wife approved... which is a big, if unexpected, plus point!

The price, paid over £30.00 and the same item is £15.00 in B&M stores, reduced from £20.00.
