I used to have the Scalextric when i was younger. I think this is a better product. Really lovely cars if a little delicate for a 6 yo (lost both wings and one mirror already!). Barriers are great and the track does stick together very well - WHEN YOU USE THE RED CONNECTORS THE CORRECT WAY. This isn't obvious as the way that "looks" correct is actually the wrong way and isn't that easy to spot as it kinda works. i suspect this has led to a lot of the frustration with the track. Really happy with this and am hoping in can get a lap counter ... spare car/tank
