I bought this camera to replace a Powershot S100 that had come to the end of its life. The big zoom facility was an added bonus. I have been using it to take pictures of Christmas illuminations and I have not been disappointed. For low light applications it is much better than the S100. Having only had it for a few weeks I have not got round to exploring all its features yet. I an currently trying to get my head round how to use it with a smartphone. I can transfer pictures to the phone but I have not yet got the remote control feature to work. More reading to be done here. So far so good, I just hope the mechanical movement of the zoom lens is up to the job.

I purchased this camera for my wife as a birthday present. She particularly asked for a Canon as she was impressed by the quality of photos that my sister-in-law has taken with her compact Canon. Indeed we have not been disappointed with the results, as the quality of the images are really good. It also has a lot of functions that make it very versatile. The only thing we found a bit difficult was the blue tooth connection with her smart phone but that may be due to the phone, as we tried it with my son's phone and it connected straight away.

I bought this as I wanted a compact camera that takes good quality photos for a reasonable price. The main reason I chose this product is because of the huge zoom, which has proved useful. However, I have ended up using the macro features more than I thought because the camera focuses so well on close objects. I also use the tilting screen loads; it is so handy to avoid having to stand in awkward positions to take photos at different angles. It is a great all-round camera.

I have been looking for ages for a easy to use, good quality camera for my wife. it needed to be able to take good quality pictures, with just a click of the button, my wife does not like complicated things, so i bought her this camera, and told her to sit and read the instructions carefully, then just take loads of pictures, to find what setting suits her for the best pictures. she really got on well with it very quickly, taking some great pictures

Bought this as a travel camera to mainly photograph nature. It is lightweight, small and can easily fit into a pocket. Found it easy to use, great zoom to get in close to birds, squirrels, etc... Loved experimenting with the creative mode to try several shots with creative effects. Can also do self portraits with tilted screen. Great app made transferring photos to my smartphone very easy. Bought after reading all the great reviews!

I bought this for my 11 year old son for Christmas. He absolutely loves this camera. It’s got him keen to go out walking and take photos of scenery/ wildlife. The zoom on it is amazing. He has lots to learn to get the best out of all it’s features but he could take it straight out the box and start using it with some great results.

I bough this a couple of weeks ago. It is the camera I expected it to be. A bit heavier than I expected. Menu has not changed from my other Canon camera I had 15 year ago. It is fast and images are very clear and sharp. The zoom is very impressive. The camera is good for taking photos with details.

I take many more photos now with this camera always in my pocket. It may replace my Nikon DSLR as it's optical zoom replaces heavy lenses, and can be always with me. Even at maximum zoom, the stabilisation gave me a super pic of a butterfly at 23 feet away.

I bought this online to replace an old version which has given great service.So far, everything seems god.BUT : I am unable to download operating instructions as the Canon Website is unsafe according to Norton (my security folks)

The camera came with minimal instructions; I found YouTube quite handy for tips. I have found it impossible to link my iPhone 6 to the camera both wifi and bluetooth successfully - the app doesn't seem very user friendly.

It's a good and powerful camera despite its size but the only downside as I read previously from other reviews is the poor focus when in not well lit room. Other than that I would say it's a super camera at a good price.

Bought this camera as going on a travel holiday and wanted to travel light. This camera is the perfect travel companion to record your memories. Compact enough that will fit in your pocket!

Bought this for Christmas for my husband to replace his old Canon camera. It is the perfect size to carry around in a pocket yet the quality of the photos is wonderful.

I’m very pleased with my new camera. It’s easy to use. I’ve tried it at night, close focus and distance without problems. The link to my phone and tablet works well too

I wanted a camera that was easy to use but gave good quality pictures. This camera does it all. Great zoom lens and even performs well in low lighting.
