This nail polish is notably better than cheaper equivalents, although it doesn't live up to all of its advertising promises. The design of the bottle is very clever, as the long lid allows greater precision when painting nails, and the wide brush also meant that I could place polish at the very edge of the nail without touching the skin. The polish does dry quickly, but obviously claims of one second are somewhat exaggerated. It also needs more than one coat to achieve a smooth coverage. The colour is as pictured, but I agree with other reviewers that 'Rose' is not the right name for it - it's more of a salmon-pink. I like the colour, however. The real question is whether the ease of use of this polish is worth the much steeper price tag,and I'm not sure that it is. This is a shame, as I would happily pay more for this polish than a bog-standard variety - just not this much more.Edit: Looking at other colours, the standard price seems to be £5.99 - I suspect this is closer to what you'd pay in shops. At that price, I would strongly recommend!

3.5 stars for this, rounded up to 4. Rose 52 is more beigey-pink than rose, a neutral Caucasian flesh-toned shade that is quite summery and versatile. However, whatever the reason was behind calling it '1 Seconde' was, it was a total lie. It wasn't even dry in one minute on a warm summery day, despite extensive jazz-hand flapping on my part. When it finally was dry, the finish wasn't particularly gel-like but it was fairly hardwearing. It lasted through a day's extensive typing and light housework and still looked o.k. the following day.The brush is decent enough, though nothing particularly spectacular. I quite liked the colour, quite liked the brush, but there is no way this is going to become a favourite.I'll probably use it a couple more times over the summer before discarding it, still half-full and unloved in a few years time.Had I bought this I would definitely have felt cheated. It's a premium product price without premium performance.

Truth be told, I did not purchase Bourjois 1 Seconde-#39 It's Raining Stars for the color. I purchased it because I liked the shape of the bottle. The look of a long handled bottle of nail polish is utterly luscious, and I wish more companies would make them. Plus the color of the handle (somewhat) matches the color of the polish.I used this polish as an accent on the ring fingers. Since the ring fingers don't see much action, there's no chipping, after two days of wear. In terms of coverage, I used one thick-ish coat. This covered the nails fairly well. Also, I used one fairly thick layer of top coat, but it was still somewhat gritty. No matter what, it seems to be a nice polish.I paid less than $4 for this, I wouldn't pay more.

I found that this nail polish applies well, although its gloopy consistency means that you need thin layers. One layer was not enough as the effect was streaky, but two layers made it look opaque and even. It dried quickly to a shiny finish, even with two layers. The colour I got, Rose, was not rose-coloured at all and was more of a peachy coral colour (no pink at all). It looks good on tanned feet in the summer, so I am pretty happy with the colour. The polish lasted for just a day without chipping, although it was minor and not great big chunks. Apart from the initial (minor) chipping it still looks nice and shiny almost a week later,so perfect for toes (I am less forgiving about polish on my fingernails).

Nice, if not outstanding, gel type nail enamel which goes on well with good results. This number 52 Rose colour wasn't quite what we expected, appearing much lighter and nearer to a skin pink than a bright rose. The bottle has an interesting design with the top being quite long, though this gives the brush a better grip.Brushing on was easy with no running thanks to the gel-like consistency, though it took a while longer to dry than expected. Don't expect instant dry in 1 second as the name might suggest. It did dull from the gel like look to a more standard nail polish look. Once dried, though, it appeared to be hard wearing enough for daily work over a few days without signs of wear,so all good there.

The appearance of the bottle is really nice with a long pointy top which makes holding and applying with the brush easy. However I thought the colour looked nicer in the bottle than when applied. Once on the nails it looks a salmon/puce colour and is quite matt.I liked the wide brush and put down any over-run onto skin as lack of practice with the particular brush. I did find two coats better. As for the quick dry I decided not to trust it.This is a polish I would use on toes rather than fingers but for the price I think it's good value - if you like the colour. As for the name of the polish it might be me but I can't find it on the bottle anywhere.

Great colour requiring just one coat which means less chance of chipping or flaking. Removing these gels can be a problem at times. On one occasion in the past unable to get underneath to peel the varnish away I gave in and used remover which left my nails with deep stains. This is the big drawback, but undoubtedly the gels have a better look and finish and last longer. This is an expensive polish and the results are undoubtedly very professional looking and smart. And with this particular varnish, the colour is subtle yet striking, that really is lovely.

Nice, soft colour that was very chip resistant. This polish is thick, so are must be taken to not overladen the brush and to apply evenly. It did indeed only need one coat and while it took a good five minutes to dry, the result was a lovely, slightly shiny, chip resistant finish that lasted a full five and a half days before my housework and typing caused me to have to reapply to a few nails. The rose colour is not a vibrant shade, being more of a natural rosy skin tone sort of shade that looks great when opting for an understated look.

A slender, two and a half inch wand, makes using the fan shaped brush both easy and accurate. One pass over the nail does the trick for me.This light rose/peachy gold colour is flat, not shimmering. The near gel effect is flattering with a tan, especially. One coat can be applied almost immediately after another as the varnish/polish/enamel dries really quickly.I have found the application lasts well even when typing, washing up, gardening etc. Using this strong coating allows my nails to grow longer than usual too.

A very pretty shade of peachy pink with a lovely formulation and nice to apply.I wore it for almost a week before it needed redoing. I was really impressed with the brush which is key, have a lovely shade and great formula but a thin skimpy brush it really lets a nail polish down so when the brush is great it makes it.I'm a fan of rimmel nail polish as the brush is superb and this one felt just as good when I applied it.Highly recommended

This nail varnish is great as its does not wear of too quickly and is so easy to apply. The colour advertise is champagne pink but it is not pink in anyway more like a brown/gold. I did request to return item as I already have the gold colour. All I will say is the customer service you get from the seller was 100% perfect . Would recommend product and service. Thank you.

A really lovely nail priduct from Bourjois which whilst not cheap you can see that it is super quality. It goes on much better than OPI and dries very quickly and leaves a really lovely quality finish which is similar to going to a specialist. This colour is a really nice warm nude colour that looks natural and almost french manicure in colour. Impressed.

I think perhaps calling it 1 seconde is a bit of a stretch...but this is a lovely nail polish with good coverage and the pinky colour is really nice and summery. I like the brush shape which helps cover nails easily and fast. The polish itself seems to be fairly chip proof and the shape of the bottle and cap is rather pleasing too - good product.

I like the quality of the gel nail enamel and it lasted well - almost a week without chipping. The colour is not my cup of tea - it's almost a pasty pink flesh colour which is great if that works for you but it didn't look good on me. I've left the rating at four stars because the quality of the product is good.

Pleasant colour, elegant little bottle, applies nicely with a reasonably good quality fanned brush. The formulation is good, the colour consistent and is pretty hard-wearing with a top coat, staying the course a good while of ordinary day and evening use. No problems with it at all, nice.
