Perfect size for single-day ski tour.The back pocket does a great job holding safety essentials (dedicated sleeves for shovel pieces and probe -- my Life Link lexan shovel fits perfectly)Top pocket for quick access gear is great.Holds reasonably wide skis in a-frame configuration well.Light, comfortable, and contoured well. No center-of-gravity problems on steep descents.All around, a great backcountry ski pack.

Overall very well made and the way the pockets are designed they hold a lot considering how slim the bag is. Only complaint is that the shoulder straps area little bit stiff and the first few days of wearing it I noticed soreness where the straps sit on the clavicle. Otherwise great bag.

This is the ultimate pack for Backcountry skiing .. I actually returned this for the next size up which is a much better pack, better hip belt, skinned up Marcy one week and Sugarbush the next ... love this pack!!

I went skiing with it and it is. great but does need some side pockets.
