My first rechargeable (Lithium-Ion) Blood Pressure Monitor also with Bluetooth to transfer the reading to Apple or Android devices. After you have unpacked it all from its zip-up storage bag, the first challenge is to charge it up using the provided USB style mains charger (note the provided charger does not have a 13amp UK plug). Charging took under two hours as indicated in the manual and the battery symbol on the units display.I must admit getting the cuff in the correct place seemed a bit tricky to me and I found it easier to do the Velcro up when I tried it on my right arm rather than the left I usually use.The cuff provided suits arms with a diameter range of 22 to 36cm with an optionalcuff with a range of 35 to 44cmSetting the date and time is pretty straightforward using the centre real button and the two touch buttons labelled M1 and M2 and the dispaly is very bright and easy to read. You can the set if Bluetooth is always active or just after it does a reading (this confused me somewhat).Operation is easy enough, either laying flat down or sitting up, the cuff needs to be at the same level as your heart, press the centre button and about 50 seconds later you will have your reading. At this point, you can then press the start button to enable Bluetooth to transfer your reading but I found this difficult trying to get your smartphone ready, loading the app and timing it right so your smartphone does not turn itself off before the transfer starts. Its easier to do it in memory recall on the BPM, power up by holding the middle button for 5 seconds. The app (I am using it on Android 5.x on my Nexus 4) confused me because it was too easy to set-up, no Bluetooth pairing or anything other than telling it which Beurer device you have (you can skip registration also). Then, assuming Bluetooth is switched on, it just says on the app, "Transferring Data", no need to find an import option or anything.I have added some photos of a successful reading on the device and some screen dumps of the Android App.You will see the BPM has a WHO approved green to red health LED indicator down the left side and another indicator that you were resting correctly all leading to an accurate reading.I like it.If you are looking at something quicker to use, you may want to consider with of the wrist models which I guess may not be so accurate but are quicker to use and easier to store.

Got this recently and it works extremely well. It was fully charged in less than 2 hours and the display is big and bold. It gives you the EU model for HT; which is the traffic light classification. Setup is very easy and straight forward. Install the Beurer Health App and you set your target BP.The cuff is a great size as I have bigger upper arm muscles. The readings are very accurate as I just came out of hospital and they are a pretty much exact. Considering the hospital machines are better than GP BP monitors. So, I can gladly confirm the readings are spot on; as it should be.The great part is the Beurer Health App. After every reading or you can upload it manually by pressing the button on the BP monitor. However, I set it up to always send the data to my phone. So, take a reading and it syncs the data with my phone. I now have a report I can convert to pdf and take it to my next GP appointment or email it to my GP.Really great stuff, you have to agree to the new GDPR rules and Beurer will hold you data, but it is a good cause to help the medical industry understand HT.Overall, a great product and works extremely well. The latest version of the Beurer Health App means it is better than previous versions, it's always flaky software that ruins great hardware and the Beurer BM85 is a great HT monitor.

Recently my blood pressure was slightly high, not enough to need medication but enough to worry me, I’m a 51 year reasonably healthily male, I run and cycle a fair bit, but do have IBS and another stomach condition which may have set the blood off, thought If I could monitor my pressure then I could react accordingly, the Beurer BM85 seemed like a well price monitor so thought I’d give it a try, plus who doesn’t like a gadget. The monitor looks very well made and has a good sized strap.Using it did take me some time to understand what everything meant, there is a Health Manager app that you can down load to your smart phone, which looks great but I did very confusing, didn’t seem to always give correct info, however that could of been me.The monitor it self I though was very good, my friend who is a midwife showed me what to look for and what was the best reading, this info is available but thought she would be a good one to have a look at it, she thought it was probably the best home monitor she had seen, thought the size was a big bonus as some are big and hard to store.I do think this is great, anyone with high blood pressure, diabetes or heart condition should consider one, my blood pressure has been fine, but I did see a peak when my IBS was really bad which I guess is worth knowing.

First you have to charge the unit unfortunately the model I was sent only has the continental two pin power adapter so it was into the bathroom as I didn't have an adapter. Following the use of a magnifier I found that the output was 5v 600mA so most standard USB chargers will do.The unit is all controlled by a central round multi switch and is straightforward. Once you've plugged the cuff into the unit you can use it but it's best to pair the machine first with your phone by downloading the App.The machine has the usual two pressure readings, a pulse rate and an indicator to show which band the reading is within according to World Health Organisation guidelines.Readings are stored within boththe app and the dual memory in the machine so it is particularly good for long term trend readings. It records the time and date gives an average value and warns of an irregular heartbeat.I like the rechargeable aspect and it cleverly knows when the reading is a resting one.In he box you get the charger, usb lead, the unit, cuff and all packed in a well are canvas style zip bag. Given its accuracy tested again with my doctor who is used to me turning up with different units, the feel of quality and the Bluetooth connectivity I feel this one is good value.

This device had to be charged via computer as it has a European plug rather annoying, we didn't have an adaptor so not feeling this is a good start. The device is easy enough to use on it has an onboard cuff which was to big for my arm in length but fitted fine on my hubby, I do have the shortest so arms though to be honest. My hubby was M1 and I was M2. We both downloaded the app onto our iPads and away we went. Easy to use and Bluetooth results over to the app which then analysis you and gives an indication of how your blood pressure, both of us were fine and in the green zone, and the results seemed accurate and inline with our recent visit to the GP.I feel things like this are a blessing if you are unwell or have u lying issues or if you just want yo keep an eye on things. My husband who has been very ill this last twelve months would have found this invaluable to gauge whether a doctor or hospital visit was necessary instead of dithering as only men can and do.I feel this will have a long and happy life in our home and we are very pleased with its reliability and ease of use.Be aware the cuff can be a little bit of a faff but other than that and the plug element there is a need for this in our family medical kit.Would recommend happily.

The reviews cover the features well so I will concentrate on the accuracy. I have 3 of these devices (courtesy of Amazon Vine) and tested them together. I give the results below. The Beurer seems to read consistently slightly high. Given that the M6 is the large armband hospital type while the RS8 is a small wrist device, their close results are impressive and suggest they are reliable. It is disappointing that the Beurer seems to be reading about 10 high but this small experiment is not enough to justify a firm conclusion. The Beurer has a quality feel. The armband is better made than the Omron and the instructions have a Germanic thoroughness which suggests the manufacturer has taken seriouscare and attention with the aim of producing a good product. Here are the results:Beurer: 128/77Omron M6: 112/72Omron RS8: 113/80Beurer: 115/74Omron M6: 106/64Omron RS8: 105/64Beurer: 114/76Omron M6: 104/68Omron RS8: 103/67

My wife is currently pregnant (20 weeks) and is slightly concerned about her blood pressure, so she was happy to receive this from Amazon. The blood pressure measurements seems to be accurate and consistent with what the midwife has measured in the past. However, if you try to measure your blood pressure a few times in a row, you won't get exactly the same numbers. It's very easy to use (she didn't have to read the instructions) and it comes in its own pouch to keep it safe. It works well with the app as it will keep your history. A bit of advice: if you want to get used to using it first, don't link it to the app yet, until you are confident. That way it won't start recording inaccurate figures. So,if you are looking for a very exact artifact, you may need to keep looking. But if you are looking for a general trend, this will fit the bill perfectly.

Easy to use. If you've used one of these electronic pressure monitors before this one wont be much different, just set the date etc. then stick your arm in the sleeve and press the large button to get a result. Some of the other reviewers mentioned that they charged before first use, but mine was ready to go so if you cant wait, it should just work out of the box.Downloaded the iphone app from the appstore and the set up was straightforward and I think a brilliant addition to an already good product. Comes with a dual pin charger so can be charged in the bathroom, or if you buy a converter (2pin ->3pin) you can just charge it via standard socket or if none of those work, just go to the USB option!I really liked it.

The Beurer BP Monitor works very well and I found it very easy to use in an ad-hoc way to take a reading. Once charged (24 hours) it is simply a matter of popping on the arm band and pressing the main button. As expected the band tightens then released and the BP is displayed. Since this is in the balpark which most of my readings done by a Doctor come in, I am satisfied as to its accuracy (and you should take several and average out anyway)However I had more trouble connecting the device to my phone. It is easy enough to download and configure the software. However getting it to connect took ages and quite a few goes. After that it synched quite happily. However be prepared to spend a bit of time making it work.

This seems to have a lot of good features packed into one unit. Like all automated units they are not 100% accurate, but they should be consistent and give you a trend. The carry bag is a nice touch. It holds everything including the manuals.Bluetooth and USB links to PC or smartphone app. This means you have the ability to keep a history. It tells you if you are taking a measurement which is not at the best position. You get an indication of overall health based on the WHO scoring systemSome devices will only act as gatherers for the software. This works alone and has a screen and memory.Charges easily from USB.Easy to use. What else do you need in a blood pressure monitor?Excellent piece of kit.

Purchased this machine due to small size and being rechargeable. Reviews don't do it justice to be honest. People complain of not being able to set it up and trouble with Bluetooth. It only took me 2mins to set up the date and time etc and no issues with Bluetooth. I have been using this for over a 2weeks now. Reading are constant and as accurate as the machine at my Gp surgery. So for anyone thinking of buying this and is put of by poor reviews please be assured this is a great machine all round.

This blood pressure meter seems to work well and importantly produce accurate reading as what it produced was very similar to what the nurse got using her own device at my health centre. The connectivity works well. Th eonly reason I have deducted one star is that it is quite hard to fit the cuff by yourself and the USB charging takes quite a long time. Other than that I could not ask for more.

5.8.2015

This is very impressive. It is far more compact than my Omron M10 unit and gives enough information to decide if you need to consult your GP. The unit is rechargeable, a good point, and easy to use. It will keep separate data on two people. You can send data to a mobile via bluetooth, too. I particularly like the automatic WHO classification and also checks for arrythmia.

24.3.2016

It's easy to operate, with a very clear screen to read your results, but the real benefit of this unit is that it has a Bluetooth connection to my iPhone and syncs the results into a Beurer App, which then syncs with Apple Health, so I have all my medical information in one place.
