(Note this review should not be taken in any way as medical advice. Consult your GP if you have any concern about your blood pressure).Up until now I have been using an Omron M3 Comfort BP Monitor but it lacks any bluetooth functionality, so the promise of the Beurer automatically syncing with my iPhone was quite appealing. So you get the measurement unit, a cuff with a decent length of hose, batteries as well as a Quick Start Guide, Manual and a few other bits of paper. The manual comes in eight languages including English and I would say is about average in terms of ease of understanding. Getting started is a matter of inserting the batteries, plugging the hose for the cuff into the side of the unit, then pressing (and holding for 5 seconds) the power button. This allows you to set the date, time and whether you want to use the bluetooth function. Mine was set to use bluetooth by default and to be fair the manual does point out that using bluetooth will shorten the battery life of the unit although they don’t say by what percentage.Next step is to download the Beurer ‘Health Management’ app to your phone and launch it. You register to use the app although thankfully you can register locally on your smart device so you don’t need to give your details to yet another company, although that option is available. Once the app is ready you fit the cuff to your arm and then switch on the BP monitor. Now I did find the cuff configuration on the Beurer was a bit more awkward than the Moron, because the Beurer cuff uses a sliding bar arrangement meaning you insert your arm and then take the dangling part of the cuff, pull it to tighten and then wrap around your arm. Doing this one-handed took a few goes to get right but I expect it will become easier with time. The Beurer cuff also looks and feels cheaper than the Omron’s cuff but it seems to work well enough. With the app ready and the cuff fitted you switch on the BP Monitor and it starts to inflate the cuff then take your measurement. The Beurer was both noisier and slower during this stage although not enough to really cause concern and once the reading is taken it ‘auto-magically’ transfers to your phone via bluetooth as well as displaying the systolic/diastolic/pulse readings in the display. There was no need to manually pair the BP Monitor with the phone, the app took care of it all. Then, having given the app permission to connect to Apple Health, my readings were there in the Apple Health app. Note that you can choose to manage your BP readings entirely within the Beurer app if you prefer. The BP Monitor unit can handle two users via the M1 and M2 buttons and you press the desired one after taking the reading. You could also conceivably use this in ‘guest’ mode by not pressing either ‘M’ button. Compared to the Moron unit this Beurer unit gave readings that were 3-4 points lower on the systolic and 1 point lower o the diastolic, not a grave concern but if you’re going to be monitoring your BP at home then you might want to calibrate this gadget against what your GP or nurse is using. One useful feature that this gadget lacks compared to the Omron is a visual indication of readings that are out of range. On the Omron you get a green or orange LED illuminated against your systolic/diastolic readings as a handy pointer towards areas of possible concern. However, like the Omron this Beurer monitor will detect cardiac arrhythmia if it occurs while you are taking a measurement and will give you a visual indication. The Beurer Health Manager app is fairly easy to use giving you a record of your readings, a diary, the ability to set targets as well as an option to generate and export reports which could be useful for your health professional. I think my Omron edges it on ease of use (of the cuff) and general construction of the cuff and main monitoring unit of the cuff, but readings have to be manually entered into your smart device if you want that sort of thing. However, the availability of automatically syncing readings to your smart device and producing reports may be a good reason for some to go for this model of BP monitor, and overall build quality seems pretty decent.Would I recommend this device to a friend? Yes, absolutely.

This is a neatly designed blood pressure monitor that comes with a fabric zippered carry care and an arm cuff that supports a very wide range of arm sizes, from 23 to 43 cm. This will cover a wide range of users, with both normal and large diameter upper arms.I was pleased to see that it also comes with 2 Alkaline AA batteries. The instruction manual is written in clear English, with useful line diagrams to illustrate the device, information on the display and how to attach the cuff and adopt the correct posture during readings. It was easy for me to fix the blood pressure cuff to my upper arm, ensuring that the tube was placed over my brachial artery. During inflation, monitor did not overshoot and this minimised discomfort as the cuff tightened. The cuff is wide and comfortable to wear and is latex free. The blood pressure reading, together with my pulse rate and the date and time that the reading were displayed in large numbers on the backlit monitor. The blood pressure numerals are 21 mm high, equivalent to a font size of 60 points. You don’t need to put on reading glasses to use this monitor. The display automatically turns off after a few seconds to conserve batteries. However, it is really easy to recall previous readings by pressing the M1 or M2 memory buttons. By default, readings are assigned to M1 but a second user could use the second memory to store their values.I then searched for the Beurer Healthmanager app in the Apple app store. This app has a discouraging rating of 1.8, due to many 1 star ratings from users complaining about the change of interface when the app was updated last summer to v2.0. The current version is 2.3, which was released 1 month ago. I downloaded the app onto my iPhone X and registered as a user. I selected the BM57 as my blood pressure device, pressed the M1 button on the monitor and was very impressed to see that my blood pressure readings instantly transferred to the iPhone X app. I thought the readings were very clearly displayed, as latest values, graphical trends and tabular data. This is ideal to show a health care professional without having to bring with the blood pressure monitor to an appointment. It also generates reports in spreadsheet (CSV) or Adobe Acrobat (PDF) that are then instantly emailed. If all of my patients with high blood pressure used this device when attending the preoperative assessment clinic, they could avoid their operation being cancelled due to “white coat” hypertension. The accompanying App works well and is a major benefit of owning this monitor.

I'm 53 and work offshore and as such I have to pass a medical on a regular basis which frankly I find somewhat terrifying. It's not the actual medical as such but the fact that my mortgage and livelihood relies upon it that causes me to stress out.And of course that means in the run up to my medical my blood pressure goes nuts. It's ridiculous but it's a fact of life for me.So, I use BPM's to monitor my stats and take the machine and data with me to show to the doctor that hopefully I'm not about to peg it through blood pressure high enough to drive a turbine. If you are like me or in the same situation then this kind of machine is a job not to say life saver. So, this is similar to most other good quality units.I also have an Omron one the same as the one in my doctors surgery and when I compare back to back the results are similar so accuracy is good enough to be reliable. Tick one box.To use is simple. Put the compression strap on - which becomes easy with a bit of practice - and then press the go button and it records your blood pressure and heart rate which, you can store on your mobile device via Bluetooth. It's easy and simple. The other thing to do is to make sure that you check regularly and roughly at the same time and in the same condition. Not just after you have had a game of squash for instance...That way you build up a trend and that's the most useful way to present information to your quack.Build quality is very good. Just as good as my Omron unit so I have no issues over the longevity of this machine. The screen is clear and easy to see so even those of us who have reached an age where reading glasses are a necessity can easily see just how good or bad things are...Overall, if you pick this BPM then you won't be disappointed. Well, you might be, but in that case best you take a quick trip to the doctors for some tablets....

I have had a couple of other Beurer products in the past and have found them to be good, including an older blood pressure monitor. This new one is an improvement over the old in terms of usability, and has a nice large screen with easy to see results and fairly large buttons. I like that it is supplied in a soft case so that I can keep the set together without losing or damaging anything. It also came supplied with the necessary batteries which is appreciated. It is fairly easy to use and can store results for up to two users. The cuff sits on the upper arm in the same way as many other monitors, and it can operate with the user sitting or lying down. The display shows the pressure, pulse rate, user (1 or 2) as well as the date and time. There’s a handy video guide available online so that you can see it working too. I have found the results to be accurate when comparing them with other blood pressure monitors that I have access to.The monitor is designed to work with the Beurer Health Manager app on smartphones and tablets. Using it allows you to access your records at any time so long as you have an internet connection, which can be a useful feature. I’m not that impressed with the app itself and find it quite basic, but you don’t have to use the app unless you want to. However, I’ve found that the Bluetooth connection works well and shares the data to my phone. The advantage of this monitor compared to standard models is that you can easily track the results so long as you set it up with a Bluetooth device, and that’s better than having to note them down or record them manually. It is a well-made device which I like, and I wish that the app was as good.

This comes in an esily charged and compact unit.Simply follow the instructions and slip it over your arm (the cuff) and then connect the little hose into the main unit being careful not to trap this inflation hose. The controls are simple and easy to follow. The system will also interact with the Beurer app and other devices such as scales, smart watches, blood glucose meters etc. It will also work with APPLE HEALTH which is good to know. Most apps and devices now wotk with apple Health so you can mix and match devices from different suppliers. The good news is if you are sat down and have your arm level and use the device properly it will give you an accurate reading. It also shows you in Red,Amber, Green terms what your bloodpressure is so you don't really even need to understand it.Also it will remember different reading for different people so you can build a history .... good for weeding out stressful high blood pressure days. Also good for spotting if there is a bad trend. Finally create an account on your phone and not only will it share all your data but when you upgrade your phone and log in to the app again all your history is downloaded to the device.Good system and very helpful for anyone watching their health.

By some margin this is the best blood pressure monitor I've used. Admittedly I've only used three in the past but still, they were good quality and relatively expensive too, so I know this is a real long term keeper. It was good to see some proper instructions here, with easy to follow display images and diagrams. They take you through all the steps of getting the monitor set up and also very helpful diagrams showing how to attach the band and the best posture to sit in. Then there's the essential little table explaining what each systolic and diastolic measurement means about your health. So after having a read through I set up the monitor very easily, and to be honest I've found it to be a very user friendly device anyway over time. I wasn't really planning to use the Bluetooth much, if at all. But after setting it up I only use it with my iPhone now, as with the app you can track your blood pressure over time as well as getting instant readings sent to the app from the monitor after each use. It comes with a case which protects it very well and I'm sitting here months after originally opening it with it working perfectly still.

I’d been advised by my doctor to get a blood pressure monitor to use at home as my blood pressure has been a bit high for a few months (but not as high when taking my blood pressure at home as it is when at the doctor’s. I’ve been using this for a few days now, and am really pleased with it.The monitor takes two AAA batteries, which are included. At its simplest you can just insert the batteries, plug in the supplied cuff, put the cuff on, turn the monitor on, and the cuff starts inflating. The readings I’ve been getting seem sensible and about what I’d expect; they are also consistent if I take two readings one after the other. In addition to basic use,you can connect the monitor via Bluetooth to a Beurer app that you can download to your phone or tablet. I’ve not used this much yet, but it records readings, gives averages and even graphs of them and so far seems to work well.I’m really pleased with this; it’s just what I needed and works well. Despite what one review has said, there are instructions in English; there is an instruction book which includes instructions in several languages. Five stars.

This has an excellent quality screen which gives you clear access to your data, and also links by Bluetooth to your mobile phone so via a downloadable free app you can keep track of your data there too.Coming packed in a nylon zip around grey case, the sleeve and the separate white angled display are always ready for use. The screen is backlit and is very easy on the eye; it has two memory settings (for two users). The app also allows you to view a graphical display of your blood pressure and heart rate amongst other things. I found the app to not be too intuitive but the on screen display to be really good. This isn't a cheap product, so it is well made, but perhaps look at the smaller product by Braun, which despite a higher price gives a lot more for the money and has a better app support.A well made and good choice for keeping track of your BP, but not the only fish in the sea!

+ Large screen with a very clear display and big numbers, ideal for poor eyesight.+ Can support and store readings for 2 users.+ Clearly illustrates on screen whether you’re in the ideal blood pressure range or not.+ Seems to have a decent level of accuracy compared to my other BP monitor (which has closely mirrored hospital readings).+ Nice that it includes a zipped storage bag.+ Includes batteries.- I don’t like the app. It’s easy to sign up to (only basic info required) but it’s not intuitive to use.- The monitor is more difficult to use than a wireless arm cuff (that I’ve got used to and is very reliable). It’s easier to apply to someone else than yourself.Someone with limited strength or mobility using it on their own may find it a little bit tricky. It’s not bad, and is accurate, but for the price I’d look into other alternatives first.

Beurer BM57 Bluetooth Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor is an easy to use blood pressure monitor. I like how easy it is to use it, plus the display allows me to see the measurement clearly. The actual cuff is an excellent size and will fit most arm measurements comfortably, though like all BP monitors the cuff does go very tight when fully inflated, I do not mind this as I consider the machine is providing a more accurate reading.Beurer BM57 Bluetooth Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor is a first-class Blood pressure monitor which provides a good record of my blood pressure.Happy to recommend.I have compared this machine and my own medical centres and there is not much difference in the actualreading. This is a good machine to have in the home as it helps me keep a better look and enables me to look after my Blood pressure more conveniently.

Machine includes batteries (I realised this three days after I kept forgetting to buy some!)As someone who suffers from high blood pressure it is really important for me to use a home testing kit regularly. What I love the most about this machine is that it pumps up slowly on the arm compared to machines I have used in the past which inflate very quick and can be painful, especially when you test yourself a few times a day. The strap is comfortable and easy to put on. The machine also links to an app you download to your phone so keeps a running track of your previous readings so you can get an accurate record of your BP. It is easy to understand and has a helpful gauge highlighting green,Amber and red to clearly show if your BP is high or not. I would definately recommend this to anyone who would want to use a home testing kit.

If you have Hypertension like i do then it is quite important to regularly take your blood pressure as the gp relies on a normally yearly bp check which gives them zero data whatsoever about what your bp is doing over a period of time. This was super easy to set up and use. You slip on the cuff, it inflates and you get your reading. Now normally i write this down in a health journal i have, but this comes with an app you access via bluetooth, except its awful and wont connect to my phone. I have a relatively newish Samsung Galaxy phone with all of the latest software, but for love nor money can i get this to work.I think that they need to improve the bluetooth connection to the device, and understand that what works in germany may not work the same in the uk, due to different bluetooth software used.

This unit was easy to setup. I had no problem just following the setup video. The readings seemed accurate compared to my other blood pressure monitors. I prefer this model because it has a large backlit display. Also, I like the coloured bar on the left side which indicates your overall results from good (green) to bad (red). The unit is small enough to carry in your holiday luggage. The controls are really simple and the unit feels solid and well made. It's really an update on the classic design that been around for years. The most interesting thing about this particular model is it's Bluetooth connectivity along with it's Android app. It all hangs together very nicely.I didn't notice any glitches whatsoever - everything just works! I love it!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AAA+++

This is a great little BP Monitor, well packaged with a nice little carry case, it loses a star by virtue of a really awful Bluetooth connection..So far I have tried 3 times to pair it up and failed every time! However, for me it's not that important to keep a record of the readings, I just like to check my BP daily as I have a heart complaint that needs monitoring regularly.....This Monitor does the trick beautifully so I can get on pretty well without the Bluetooth connection!I have had three or four different BP monitors and this is by far the best yet...Granted a couple were the wrist type which are pretty unreliable.OK its not the cheapest on the market but certainly one of the easier onesto use!

I’ve recently had higher blood pressure than normal which I am monitoring so this machine has come in handy to monitor my readings at home. It’s relatively easy to set up, however whilst I did download the app I don’t see the point and I couldn’t really work it, so the Bluetooth feature isn’t useful for me.It comes with a nice soft case that easily stores the cuff and unit. It’s easy to set up and go, and the screen display is nice and big. The results screen shows your BP and your heart rate. There are two separate memory settings if needed. It comes with two batteries which was useful to pop straight into the machine.I’m happy with this machine and it’s proving useful to monitor my BP athome.
