So I bought this monitor to replace my 24 inch AOC 144hz G-sync monitor. My previous monitor only had a display port connection and I needed a larger screen with HDMI port to work from home in lockdown. On the positives, the screen is large, curved and performs pretty well overall. On the negatives, I have spent HOURS changing the settings both on the monitor and my Nvidia control panel just to get a picture that I am happy(ISH) with for work and gaming. Out of the box the colours were all off, it was much too bright and the resolution just looked wrong no matter how you set it. I genuinely thought about returning it on more than one occasion because a good picture shouldn't be so difficult to achieve when you're spending this much on a monitor, but the hassle of returning something so large made me persist with it.I can't rate it too poorly because I am somewhat happy with it now that I've changed loads of settings based on other people's comments, but I would advise on getting either a more high end monitor if you have the funds or just getting something cheaper and smaller that's less of a headache if not. If you do buy this monitor and you're looking for advice my main suggestion is do not use vivid pixel and try tweaking all of the settings until you find a balance that works for you.

For the price, this monitor is outstanding. You NEED to spend some time calibrating it to suit your needs, but once you figure out the settings, this screen is gorgeous. Fantastic for gaming - the vivid pixel option greatly enhances the detail on your screen. However, do not crank it up too high, it is perfect at 25 - 50 without overdoing it.I suggest keeping this feature off for when using the screen as an extension to your pc/laptop to minimize pixellation. The next section is specific to owners of the PS4 slim (or any other console that does not have a toslink connector) - this monitor was a bit of a handful as it does not have a 3.5mm jack to directly connect to speakers or headphones. You will need at the very least an HDMI splitter to split out the sound through a tosslink connector if you have a supported headset or speakers. In my case I had neither, so I further had to invest in a DAC.

It's bright, has great vertical adjustment, high refresh rate, nice resolution - damn near perfect. But I have had a couple of issues:- in sRGB mode it had some trouble displaying red text on black - it looked like a sharpness filter issue possibly, but it was unreadable. In other modes it was fine. I ended up using "Racing" mode.- it seems to flicker a bit when games switch display modes for full screen etc - it's only brief and doesn't really impact my enjoyment of the screen.Notes:- HDR and Freesync compatibility with nVidia graphics cards requires a 1000 series or above - my otherwise fantastic 980 Ti cannot run this screen in variable refresh mode or HDR400.I'll have to wait until I upgrade my graphics card before I can fully enjoy this monitor's capabilities, though I can at least run at a high refresh rate and 1440p.

This Asus Monitor is by far the best monitor I've owned. It has two HDMI Ports, One VGA Port and a 3.5mm Jack Port. The screen quality is absolutely amazing, It's sharp, bright and very colourful and I didn't even need to adjust any of the settings :). One thing I didn't like about this Monitor was the internal speakers, They sounded very flat but that didn't bother me much seems I had some external speakers I was going to use but other than that tiny problem I love this monitor and use it for my PC and Playstation. Oh and one feature that I do really like with this monitor Is that you can choose the Blue light filter which reduces eyestrain so that's a great feature if you need to study orwork from your Desktop PC.

I bought this monitor to use with an Xbox One and found no way to control the audio volume from the monitor speakers. Problem is, the video/audio set up on the Xbox is designed for a TV. It does not provide a simple volume control, as normally you would use the TV remote for that. But model VP278H lacks a volume control, presumably because it is aimed at a typical Windows desktop PC user with volume control in the taskbar. Catch 22! You might expect the monitor speakers to be muted when a headset is plugged into an Xbox controller but that isn’t the case. However the good new is, get the VP278QG which (according to the published spec )does have volume control Although it’s a bit more expensive.

A very good product for the money. Large, clear screen with very good definition. Used mainly for word processing activities, and here the on-screen menu for choice of display formats (columns, pages, etc.) is excellent. Two things to be aware of though. (1) the monitor is controlled by hard to see small buttons under the front panel. I have worked-around this by installing a program by Nirsoft that transfers the control to the computer keyboard. (2) the on-board speakers are very weak in tone, dynamic range and column. If you want sound use external speakers.Otherwise, a great buy.

Right so like what a lot of other people have experienced, the colour balance right out the box is bad. But once you set up the colours correctly (I changed a few settings in nvidea control panel), this thing is great. Games that supoort HDR like RDR2 look great on this thing and its so good to have both 1440p and high refresh rate. Biggest down side I can think of is that brightness isn't that great with HDR on in games. So besides a bit tuning of the settings here and there, its a great monitor for the price

This is my second monitor of this type- the first is still in use, I bought the second cos I liked the first so much. Good value for money, and I find the picture quality excellent. I do a lot of work with graphs and need to read from a screen as well, so this offers me the ability to get a nice clear picture/graphs and read stuff (if I have to) from the screen It works straight out of the box no problems at all with setting up. To me the price point is good as well.

Great as a console screen if you're having one with FHD (not 4K) output. Never noticed any lagging. Profiles (called "Splendid") are useful for gaming, reading text or standard use. Blue light filter seems to work well, never felt my eyes tired with this monitor.Has two HDMI and one VGA inputs, useful with older devices. The stand is non-adjustable for height and a bit wobbly. That's the only downside we noticed so far.

I couldn’t be happier with this product. I never ever been disappointed with Asus products. They always deliver what they promise in terms of quality. I would say if needing a 3 screen I will get one of those again. Top quality guys, I will be using mainly for my gaming channel M3Croft. I will be posting the unboxing video there soon. Totally recommended if you are looking for a WQHD with 144hz framerate.

I bought this product recently to replace my old one and I am glad I did, The build quality is one of the main reasons why I am so happy with this product and the screen is just right but I do have to add that I received mine with some dead pixels but you can only see them if you look for them and they are barely noticeable and nothing to worry about unless you using it for gaming or photography.

Brilliant screen, nice and bright with no flickering. I have deducted one star because of the leads supplied. I received 2 x 'screen to socket'' leads (?) but was missing the HDMI to CPU lead. When I rang customer support, I was told that the screen does not come with all the leads needed. Luckily my old screen lead fitted, but it seems a bit cheap not to have all the relevant leads included

I ordered this as I played a lot on my 15.6 laptop and wanted something bigger in order to shoot players, not pixels. I like the size very much but the picture quality, being a TN pannel, it let me down. The gradients are very visible and the blacks are only there when the screen is off. But it is a very responsive screen and after thinking of returning it, I went for the keeping.

I'm trying out PC gaming, having been a console player for many years. This monitor is everything I could have hoped for and more. The picture quality is outstanding - seems better than my TV! At 27 inches, the monitor feels huge as well. I can't praise this monitor enough, and at the price it's at right now, I would advise anyone looking for a monitor to get this one.

Such a great monitor!Great picture quality. I mostly play games and i was kinda worried if its gonna be too big, coming from 24" to 32" but its actually pretty good and easy to get used to.The 1ms in the title is a bit misleading, its actually 4ms but rly i can barely notice when playing battlefield titles.Hdr is beatiful. You wont regret buying this monitor.
