After having Astro A40s/TRs since 2008 I finally took the plunge to go wireless (no more cables getting caught in computer chair castors!I have the headset hooked upto an Xbox One X via optical and PC via 3.5mm jack. The headset will last 15-16 hours of use. I've yet to have it go below 25% even when in use from 9am-10pm. If ever you wanted a 24 hour gaming session, or forget to charge then you can use any micro USB cable to charge whilst the headset is in use.The feel of the headset is excellent on the head, Astro are the only brand of headset that I can use for 10+ hours without feeling sweaty around the ears, or getting a headache due to pressure of the headphones.The mic is decent quality but will be beat out by any stand alone YETI etc.On first use you need to charge the headset for 5 hours. I have seen reviews on youtube where people have struggled to sit the headset on the dock and charge, but having used it for two weeks now, it sits first time and charges without fiddling, it's even magnetised to guide it into place. I have no idea why others struggled with this as it's not an issue at all for me. I also have the headset towards the larger setting.The software on PC is useful and I used it to set up three profiles to switch out on the fly. The side tone (hearing your own voice) is a little heavy out of the box at 50%, i reccomend lowering to 30-40%. Directional audio is fantiastic and you can pinpoint FPS enemies at range with ease. The mic mute is by lifting the mic to the upright position.The range of the headset in my property is about 9/10 metres. I can safely walk to the bathroom without it cutting out, the signal can go through one solid wall, but I find if you go two walls + 8/10 metres away the signal will be lost. The only improvement I would have liked is for the Xbox One version to come in full black or similar. The green of the headset won't be to everyone's taste.Overall I am very pleased with the headset and the freedom wireless gives. 5/5

Get the faux leather A50 mod kit. Your ears will love you for it. These fit so well when adjusted properly. Been wearing them for 4 to 16 hour gaming sessions without any discomfort.They have become a bit fiddly to seat properly on the charging station, but mind you can always use a cable to charge them,....if you have no patience.And most importantly if you have both an Xbox and PlayStation,....Then buy the A50 for your main console and a charging station for the other. One headset does both consoles if you have both charging stations. I am running a Xbox One X, PS 4 Pro, and a Windows PC.Noise cancellation is non-existent as open backed headphones,but with mod kit there is some minor improvement lowering background noise.Friend pointed out that occasionally the mic cuts out and I have to repeat; hence the loss of one star.If you want the best proper wireless headset out at the moment then look no further. Nothing touches these 3rd generation A50s.

Headset quality really good on its own but I actually bought the upgrade kit for the ear rests to make them leather ones instead as I prefer the feel, would highly recommend purchasing that also. Only issue is that it is anther £40 on top of a £300 headset.overall quality is fantastic and I know that I wont need to look into buying a new headset for at least another 3 - 4 years the build quality is that good and the features it has will stay relevant for the next few years at least.if gaming is your hobby you cant go wrong with these.

Perfect for my gaming, great sound, great chat mix capabilities, the software is awesome and I really like the charging dock which is super easy to use and ensures I always have a charged headset.They are super comfortable, lightweight and easy to wear for long periods.I've used steelseries and multiple variations of turtle beach but this tops the lot.

This is an excellent product. My son has been using this on his X Box One for quite a while. When I had a listen myself, I was impressed by the build quality and sound. They reproduce music well and surround sound is impressive.Compared to a Turtle Beach headset that we owned before, there is no comparison.

Bought this headset about 3 weeks ago now and after extensive use i can safely say this is one of the best headsets on the market. Sounds amazing can hear everything and with dolby atmos activated it's like sitting in a cinemas. five stars easily

Astounding high end wireless gaming headset. Excellent build quality. Very comfortable and excellent sound quality.You can also customise the sound settings by plugging the base station into a pc.Also the battery life is massive.

I came from the Turtle Beach Elite 800x to these and the difference is night and day. Really light & comfortable and the sound is awesome. Battery life is approx 10-15 hrs. Highly recommended.

Well didn't really use it finding out theres a newer version which I will get thebox came in a terrible state was quite upset but happy am returning it for the new one
