Despite being in the budget-friendly segment of the market, the Astro A10 doesn’t feature a terrible design, in fact, it features premium looks. No there’s no metal here, but the plastic used is incredibly sturdy and the overall design is pretty slick. With two large rectangular earcups and a rubber covered headband at the top, the A10's look like a decent set of gaming cans. They may not feature some of the cooler design elements of Astro's more expensive headsets, but they still, look pretty sweet. Each earcup sits on a rail which allows you to easily adjust them to about an inc downwards, allowing for easy fit on most head sizes from kids to adults. The rails themselves feel rather sturdy and there's no chance of accidentally adjusting the headset when you don't mean to.A bendable microphone sits on an up/down pivot that also acts as a mute switch to activate and deactivate the microphone, so in other words, when the microphone is up, it's off and when it'ss down, it's on. My one issue here is that the microphone, while bendy doesn't seem to stay exactly where I put it and bounces back slightly. The included 6 foot long 3.5mm audio cable is completely detachable from the headset itself and also features an in-line volume adjustment dial. Other than this dial, the headset features no buttons. While this gaming headset will work with all consoles of this generation, you will require a headset adaptor for original Xbox One controllers that don't feature an audio jack, if you're still using one that is.Thick padding around each earcup and some on the headband, make this headset feel quite comfortable overall. During long periods of use, however, they start to feel a bit tight around the ears, which can cause some discomfort.Given their price, you won't find any surround sound on the A10's, instead, you get stereo sound, which means the overall experience isn't as immersive as some of the more pricier headsets available. That said the A10's do a stellar job in the audio department, considering their budget price tag.In party chat on the PS4, I am able to clearly hear the voices of other participants with no audio breakup or concerning issues. My PS4 picks up the headset with no problems at all, while connected to my Dualshock 4.In game audio, whilst not in a party chat comes out clear and crisp, with all sounds easily noticeable. I have been playing Borderlands: The Pre Sequel using these and while it's probably not the best game to talk about audio, these cans did an amazing job rendering the audio and sound produced within that game. The A10's feature two 40mm drivers which do an excellent job of pushing out some very well balanced audio, no matter what you're using them for. Using them for music with my PC, I was not disappointed as they still produce clear and crisp music. At loud volumes, they remain clear and lack any distortion, which is always nice to see, especially in budget headsets. Bass could be a bit higher in my opinion as I feel they do lack it a bit, but other than that, they sound excellent.Just like the audio, the microphone performs really well. I am clearly heard when talking through it and there are no real issues occurring. The pivot up to mute and down to unmute is a very handy feature, which is very welcome in this day and age. ASTRO Gaming The Legend of Zelda, Breath of the Wild A10 HeadsetASTRO produce a range of Game themed headphones of very interesting design and materials compared to other over ear headphones. The head band is made of some type of robust plastic and has the sliding adjustment integrated into the design. There is no joint to fail and no metal slide to get bent. The material allows for a high degree of torque or twist to be sustained without damage.Other designs, notably those that include a joint between ear cup and headband, often fail at this point as pulling headphones off or twisting the ear cups against the joint breaks them down. This ASTRO Gaming A10 Headset will not suffer from that or beingaccidentally sat on or even the odd bout of gamer rage. The design of the ear cups is also interesting as it affords adjustment on / around the ear by a kind of gimbal mechanism built into the housing. On the Breath of the Wild editions this is inset in Gold. This adjustment works well and allows for a good fit.The ear pads are generous and soft covered with faux velvet material. One result of the design is that these are wide headphones compared to some others. The fold down microphone is by convention attached to the left ear cup and is on a malleable wand. The ASTRO Gaming A10 Headset is a wired headset - connecting by cable to your PC / Console / Device using a 3.5mm 4 core jack plug to carry a stereo signal plus microphone. The cable included is 1m long and has a volume control in line. The cable ends are not the same - the jack plug closest to the volume control is longer than a standard 3.5mm jack and is designed to go into the earpiece of the headphones; the other end goes into your device or the chat adaptor. As this is a Zelda themed headset it’s likely to be used with a Switch on the go and so the 1m cable included makes sense.Using the ASTRO Gaming A10 Headset with a PC you might want an extension cable. Also in the box is a Nintendo Switch Chat adaptor. The headset is Zelda themed from the box all the way through to the gold Z logo and moulding on the ear pieces and decals in the design. The Zelda fan will love this - perhaps adding value to what is otherwise an A10 headset plus a Switch chat adaptor.Sound quality, which is notoriously subjective:Can you really get a bad sounding pair of headphones these days? Basic tech is really pretty good and headphones provide a level of immersion seemingly using your head as a third speaker. As these are wired headphones you get a good stable audio signal with no drop out or interferenceThe ASTRO Gaming A10 Headset claim to be “specifically tuned for gaming, providing accurately detailed immersive audio, the way game developers intended”.OK - so despite this marketing speak - I actually think these are pretty good if a little lacking in separation and a bit woolly overall compared to say a set of headphones not designed for gaming at the same sort of price point.I think it’s really about the Zelda tie in and the durability aspects as much as the sound for this ASTRO Gaming A10 Headset.

I'm giving my opinion based on using them on the PS5. They work with PS4 & PC too or xbox if you buy the correct version (green). Soo:-I'm going to start by saying my overall experience in a large paragraph before I go into detail, well; I really like their audio, they sound really good for the price and definitely better than the Astro A10s! The mic quality I think is a little downgrade compared to A10s but my friends got used to it by one session of gaming so now it's fine, but it picks up more background audio than the A10s did for some reason. They are very comfortable, way more comfortable than the A10s BUT if you have a large head then they MIGHT be small for your head.So far I had one random moment when they just turned off and I had to turn them on and they worked fine so I'm not sure what happend there, maybe a glitch? Maybe it lost connection? I'm not sure, I will update ABOVE with date of update if any other issues occur but apart from this, I'd definitely recommend them.-This is key, they have 3 audio pre-sets (EQs) than you can switch between using 1 button and the headset makes noise letting you know which EQ you are using. The EQs are:_(1/2/3 information provided by ASTRO GAMING WEBSITE)_1. ASTRO: Best mode for all gamers - tuned for gaming by ASTRO's audio experts. Precise bass for immersion. Balanced mids and highs for the optimal gaming audio experience._2. STUDIO: For music and movies. Neutral for accuracy across a range of media usages._3. PRO: Ideal for streamers and pro gamers. Tuned towards mids and highs for precise details. Optimizes surround sound performance as too much bass can cause spatial distortion._When they are charing the orange light is blinking and when they are fully charged then the orange light is just on and isn't blinking anymore so it means they are fully charged. So far I didn't have them run out of battery. Apparently 15+ hours of battery life and it true so far.-They don't cancel much noise meaning you will be able to hear stuff in real life around you and people around you might hear audio from your headset!-They are super light on your head which feels amazing and the ear cups are bigger than A10s so your ears fit inside comfortably!-Disadvantage of them on PS4/PS5 would be that the Game/Voice buttons are pretty much useless as they don't do anything because they are only compatible with XBOX and PC.-Again I recommend getting these or if you are not in a hurry for a new headset then wait for Astro to drop GEN 5 of A40s/A50s that will be native to PS5 & XSX and buy them, but they will release probably next year.-Oh and yea they connect via usb thing so plug it into your console and pres the button on it so it's blue for PlayStation and you are ready to game! Thanks for reading, I think I mentioned most things! :) will update if I have any issues or anything I feel like adding to this review! Thanks!

I’m a bit of a Legend of Zelda fan. A passion that started twenty years ago with The Ocarina of Time. I have all the Legend of Zelda Amiibos, Breath of the Wild (BoTW) decals on my Switch dock, a BoTW carry case and Game Card case... You get the idea. Astro A10s have been a wildly popular mid-range headphone for some time, with lots of different branded versions available. This version with Legend of Zelda branding and the official Nintendo seal on the box is however clearly the right pair for me.The headphones themselves are a nice matte black with gold Zelda “Z” logos on the earcups and Hylian Crests on the headband. They look good and they feel great. The cables feel nice and thick. The memory foam earcups are super comfy and completely cover your ear. The adjustable headband is padded too. These headphones fit really comfily on your head, they’re not too big and they don’t move about when you’re playing. The mic boom has a nice flexi rubberised feel to it and it mutes automatically when you flip it up. At least it’s supposed too. When testing it on my iPhone, it kept recording whatever position I put it in. The quality of the recording was however fine. There are two cables supplied. One is a standard 3.5mm AUX cable with an in-line volume control. The other is a splitter type “Switch Chat Cable” that lets you plug one cable into the Switch and another into your Smartphone for use with the Nintendo Switch Online App. Everyone knows it’s a crazy cumbersome setup, which might be why it's actually pretty difficult to find anyone else wearing a headset to chat to. This has made it difficult to test this feature out. I keep on going into the MK8 Global lobby and whilst it’s easy to get a game with players from all over the world, I’ve yet to find anyone else to talk to. To be honest I’m quite old-skool with Nintendo, I mostly play either solo or with friends / family in local multi-player so It's not something I'm going to spend much time on.Sound quality is solid and more than acceptable - without being knockout. I thought the A10s delivered a great sense of stereo and decent bass, but they could be cleaner at the high end. Playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, other drivers zip past you and the sound comes from all the right places. Explosions and other deep sounds make a nice bassy rumble. I love sneaking into a Bokoblin camps in BoTW and lighting up the explosive barrels with my fire arrows, and it sounds great through these headphones. Brighter, higher sounds can seem a little indistinct though and music tracks like the fantastic new Super Smash Ultimate theme “Lifelight” can sound a little flat. Certainly for me the combination of the Zelda branding, the excellent build quality and the solid audio make these a good buy at their current price.

I'm a gamer who has tested and used many headsets and my review is based on that fact as well as other facts. The Astro A20 Gen 2 is simply an amazing headset for the price. The performance definitely punches above it's price. The only reason I gave it a 4 Star is because whilst I knew the game/voice balance is not supported, it still would have been good to have it and they've included the buttons for it, but just not supported. But I think that's not Astro's fault and more to do with Sony Playstation. The Great:The sound quality is exactly what you would expect from an Astro headset. I previously had the A50's which costs 3 times more than the A20. I went through 2 A50's. First one broke and the other had glitches.Sounded great. And I've also tried over 30 different headsets. You name it, I've tried them all. The A20's with the new Astro Audio V2 is simply amazing. There is no Astro command centre software compatibility for the new A20, but you really don't need it.I sort of do scientific tests when trying headsets on Call of Duty Warzone and here are the details.Sound Quality Overall:Very smooth, not harsh at all even at max volume and perfect clarity and detail. Nice bass (not too much), good kids and very detailed highs.Footsteps of enemies can be heard from about 34 metres away and clear, and closer they get, louder and more crisp the footsteps sound. In buildings when enemies are on wooden floor, you can hear those thumping footsteps when approaching or in the building yourself.Imaging/direction/positional audio is perfect. Not just left or right, but also verticality and even precise forward left or back right. It really is that good.Max volume is also very good. Definitely louder than the previous gen A20 and as loud as the A50. Not deafening, but still very loud.3 EQ presets to choose from at a press of a button. Astro, Pro and Signature. For clear footsteps use the Astro or Pro, but Astro one is better.Comfort:Amazing velour earcups that make you want to wear these forever. It actually has real dense memory inside, compared to the A50 which has normal foam. Conclusion:Don't be fooled into buying headsets that cost £200 or even £300. The A20 Gen 2 does exactly everything those expensive headsets do and compared to some even better. I don't know if Astro knew they were going to develop the A20's this good or if it was an accident, but they sure are amazing.Battery life also is decent at 15+ hours depending on how loud you listen to them.Overall I highly recommend this headset.

A nice addition to your officially licensed Nintendo and Zelda collection!!I’m pleasantly surprised by these. Incredibly powerful bass for their modest plastic body and cloth covered ear pieces, they claim to be tuned by Astro Audio specialists. Astro is another division of Logitech I notice, so while that isn’t the same as Dolby certified, its as though these have been tuned for the Switch (and gamers) specifically, and the result is beautiful, with nice rumbling bass resonance, and crisp high end. Breath of the Wild sounds cinematic! The Nintendo licence gives some quirks. For example, for the life of me I can’t push the volume on these too high even though the cord has an additional independent volume control to push it,I feel a very Nintendo family-friendly choice - but it also means that kids won’t be deafened by high volumes - so besides being an incredible Zelda collection addition, they’re consciously protecting your children’s hearing! Low volume = annoying for elders, good for our future generations’ hearing. But the design is great. Zelda: Breath of the Wild based artwork cover the exterior of the headphones, and even the inside of the packaging (details definitely noted!). The etched designs feel lasered on, while the gold is accurately painted, and it’s all in the details, which are immaculate. They fit well - they won’t feel like a clamp on your skull - which I’m used to personally, but younger people won’t like. As they’re not made for jogging, that’s not an issue, unless you find gaming music so good you have to headbang! An issue is however that the audio cable sometimes needs removing and re-inserting to the headphones. The audio plus voice channels take up FOUR rings on the headphone jack and as such the channels get mixed up if you move too much and sound goes fuzzy or into just one ear from time to time.Of course I’d try out the voice chat feature were it that Nintendo had more voice chat enabled games... and it was a little bit more worth my money, as of time of writing, so can’t tell if the re-inserting of the cable is a choice or not.Not a bad licensing choice at all, and I’m welcoming these to my Zelda collection (too proudly). With voice chat, can’t wait to someday trial the feature, but very happy with how good they make my Switch sound during a gaming session!

If you are reading this review, you are probably already aware that Astro make very good headsets, and the A10's are no exception. These are the budget range from Astro, but that doesn't mean they are cheap.Build QualityAs standard for Astro, these are very well built, they feel premium and the Zelda theme is done very well, and will look great on anyone's shelf. With these being specifically for the Nintendo Switch, it comes with the splitter cable in order to connect to both the Switch and a mobile phone with the Nintendo Online App in order to use the Chat Speak. But you can bypass this and just use the standard audio cable to plug it into a PC, Xbox or PS4 should you choose to.Features and Sound QualitySound quality is excellent, whether it be, the soft piano tones from Breath of The Wild, to the quirky J-Pop tunes of Splatoon, despite them only being stereo sound, it does a great job of directing the sound, so it feels like you can hear where the enemies are coming from. Also, something that is not common in the cheaper range headsets is a flip-to-mute. This way you don't have to fiddle about trying to find a mute button, you just lift you mic up and you can talk freely, as for chat quality, my friends that I played with said I was loud and clear when in party chat. The over ear cups do an excellent job of keeping outside noise to a minimum, there is no mic monitoring (which is not expected from budget headphones) so if you have a significant other, you will not be able to hear them talking to you, something to keep in mind.Overall the Astro A10's are great headphones, excellent sound look and feel great. They could do with with being slightly lighter, as after about 3 hours play, I was finding myself adjusting the position due to starting to feel the strain on my head. But that does not stop them from becoming one of my favorite headsets that I own.

The ASTRO A10 gaming headset is a good-quality and well-featured gaming headset with only one minor flaw that I noticed.Firstly sound quality is good - I found the headphones to have good presence and clarity, with particularly impressive bass response, giving weight to intense action sequences. Overall the sound was very respectable, and I found them to enhance the experience of gaming overall.Secondly the design; there are some great features thrown in here, such as the muting of the microphone when you flip it up, the inclusion of in-line volume control, and a detachable adapter for line-in + headphone audio in the box, meaning you can also easily use them as just a pair of headphones.Lastly comfort, and here is where I found the only slight flaw of these headphones. The shape of the ear cups is roughly a D turned 90 degrees counter-clockwise, which I found sacrificed the quality of the fit slightly. It caused the foam surrounds of the ear cups to push lightly on either the top or bottom of my ears depending on how the band was adjusted; I couldn't quite fit my ear completely inside the cup without the edges pushing lightly against the foam pad. I have completely average-sized ears too, so I would consider the cups a little on the small side. This of course does not sound like a big deal, but given how sensitive our ears generally, are the very slight pressure starts to become a little uncomfortable past the hour mark. It's not the worst thing in the world, but I'd consider this to be a problem with the design that was easily avoidable.Overall this gaming headset can be completely recommended for quality and design, but if your ears are even a little larger than average, I'd recommend seeking out a pair with better-shaped ear cups. Wow well where do I start with this amazing headset. Both myself and my 11 year old son love gaming so was excited to try it out. And as I thought we have not been disappointed, the headset is extremely comfortable and extendable to ensure it fits a range of ages/sizes. The ear cushions are extremely comfortable and don’t rub, they are also noise cancelling so when you have this headset on you are in a gaming world of your own, I had to flash the light to get my sons attention as he could not hear me which it’s another great feature, the design itself is sleek and classy, a dash of colour but not to much, this helps it become a generic headset which is also great for everyone. The sound quality is second to none, crystal clear with no fuzziness and clear clarity, and the microphone is of high quality, it’s not a solid plastic more a flexible material which is great, other online players can hear me perfectly and have been commenting on my previous headsets and how up market this one is, another fantastic little function is to mute the conversation during a chat you literally have to just push the microphone to the upright position, this doesn’t just make people less likely to hear, it mutes so they cannot hear you at all. The headset is compatible with a varied amount of computers, gaming devices and phones which it’s another great benefit and also aswell as being used as a gaming device to chat can also be used as a regular headset to listen to music/movies etc, came in extremely handy when we took a recent trip to wales and our son used it during the car journey to watch a movie. Just an overall and all round fantastic headset that I can assure you, that you will not be disappointed . [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

These gaming wired headsets are available in black/blue, black/green, black/red, white/blue or white/green, I received the headset in white/green to reviewThese headsets can be used on Xbox, PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, plus PC or laptops, I'll be mainly using these on my laptop for watching videos and podcasts and for Zoom/Team meetings etcTo start off I was really impressed with the sound quality of these headphones, I've tried them listening to music and watching videos so far, not had any online meetings yet so can't tell how they'll hold up to that with using the microphone, but I have every confidence that they'll be amazingAlthough to start off these were really comfortable, especially as they have the padded earphones, they are quite heavy so after wearing them for a few hours last night I was glad to take them off, as my head and ears were getting a little sore, it won't put me off wearing them though, I'll just have to make sure I take breaks when I'm wearing themThe cable is quite long but that wasn't a problem for me and the mouthpiece can be moved away and tucked up by the side of the headphonesThese could actually just be used as normal headphones to listen to music on, you'd just need an adaptor to fix them to your phone or tablet, but as they're wired and quite heavy you might not want to lug them about with youI found the sound quality amazing and they did cancel out external noise, that much so I had to remove the headphones to hear what my son was sayingSo to sum up, I'd absolutely recommend them on sound quality alone, it's just a pity that they're so heavy and do get uncomfortable to wear after several hours, if you can get by that, then they're perfect

Are you after a pair of lower price premium gaming headphones? Want a tough pair for heavy handed kids? Look no further, sorted...These are the Astro Gaming A10 Headset with 3.5mm connector and inline volume control. These come in white / green modern design with 200cm cord length and flip mic. These just plug n play into your controller, just do it! You can use on XB, PC, Mobile, PS or Mac. But they are Xbox branded. To control these is pretty basic, the remote has + / - vol wheel and the mic flips up / down. To mute just flip up, or use your controller as normal.Using these is a decent experience as far as wired gaming headphones go, they have a system called Astro Audio V2 which does wonders for the sound whether it's in game or listening to music.Doesn't quite drown out all external noise, but I do have big ears and the cups are foam not leatherette.Playing Cyberpunk is an absolute joy, the sound is all around and crisp clear. Whether you are shooting up perps or talking to sexy NPCs. Even when on party chat with friends it is crisp and clear. When you don't want to put on your full big set then these are a must go to, OK they are a tad plasticky, but there is a reason for that. These are possibly the most robust gaming headphones I've ever encountered, as they are so flexible and no visible external wiring. To be honest you'd be hard pushed to find a much better built set of gaming headphones. They look great, sound good (pity external noise isn't drowned out), comfortable and won't break the bank like them big premium over ear sets.I recommend these, give them a punt, you will not be disappointed and they will last a while.

I have been a casual Gamer most of my life and gave already tried lots of Gaming headphones. I have used a few other gaming headphones and have always found one or more issues with them. On first impression I felt that these are well built and made from good materials. They are not the best on the market, but they are better than others. After using them for a few days, I felt that they were very easy to use specially on pc and offered very well balanced sound without a lot of bass. However, in terms of looks and design they perfectly match the XBOX aesthetic so might be best to use with XBOX. They did feel a bit less comfortable than the other ones I have used and felt a bit too tight on my rather large head. After a few days they are now a little bit more comfortable but still not fully loose. Hopefully in few more days, they will be much more comfortable as the grip loosens. After using them for a while, my opinion is as follows:Pros- Great sound quality. Well balanced and no too much bass as some cheap headphones- Volume of these is high enough to play without hearing external noises.- Quickly and easily connects with the PC- long battery lifeConsFeels too tight on the ears.Build quality is good but in some places it feels a bit cheap due to the type of plastic they have used.Overall these are really good quality headphones that do the job but have a few issues which can't be resolved easily. At this price, I think they are a good value just for the sound quality alone.

ASTRO A10 wired black and blue model. Great sound quality for the price. Mics good as well, but the key feature of the almost indestructible plastic headband makes them uncomfortable for prolonged use over a few hours at a time (for me)So if you plan to wear these all day then you may find the more expensive astro models a better buy.Like other revierwers I found you really have to push the 3.5 mm cable into the headset to get stereo (both speakers] and the mic to work. If you only get sound from one of the headset speakers then the cable is not fully inserted.Headset works great with Xbox Series SX plugged into controller and Astros tuning is very good for gaming. The Spatial headphone 3D option in Fortnite and the A10s is almost like a hack. You could hear aove and below as well as behind with extreme accuracy. More than any standard 2.0 headphones I have tried. Also the Dolby Atmos app on Xbox works like a charm for media and games with the A10s.Astros default settings are also quite bass heavy so most media music users will like them on console. So great sound quality and mic, easy to connect to any device with 3.5 mm audio output. Comfort is OK for shorter games sessions. Almost perfect at the budget branded end of the spectrum.I think the 3.5mm lead should be a braided cable not stiff plastic and the inbuilt plastic volume control feels cheap and the headband needs more pusher and wide memory foam to make the A10s perfect. But for the price these are minor quibbles.

I got this headset after my last pair got damaged. I can't see the same happening with these, the build is pretty robust but still visually appealing. The headset itself is very comfy, it comes with a foam protector which definitely makes a difference as my previous headsets haven't had that! The longest session I've played with this headset so far is a 4 hour session on Half Life and wasn't in any discomfort throughout! I've used this headset a number of times when my friends have been over and they seem to cancel out the background noise really well. The ear pieces cover my ears perfectly (feels very cushy) and this coupled with the excellent bass and surround sound really allows you to get submersed in whatever game you're playing! The mic quality is good but can be slightly crackly on occasions which is why I've only gone to 4 stars. The look and feel is sleek and well finished, when I took the out of the box they actually looked better than they did in the shop! It weighs around 350g so isn't too heavy on your head. Obviously there will be better headsets around, but for the price I don't think you can go far wrong with the A10. I use them on average 4-5 times a week and they've not shown any sign of damage or degradation on the sound, even when playing at high volumes for long periods. If you don't want to spent a huge amount of money but want a good quality, reliable headset then the A10 would be a solid option! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Astro A10 Gaming Headphones – owned by Logitech since 2017- have been around for years. There’s been loads of different branded versions - from Legend of Zelda and Call of Duty to Playstation and Xbox - but they’re basically all the same headset. These ones have “works with the new Xbox” printed on the packaging but they’re entirely compatible with anything that uses a 3.5mm aux connector – whether that’s an Xbox, Playstation, Switch or mobile phone. There's not even any Xbox branding on the headset - just the suggestive used of white and green. There’s a good reason for the A10s continued popularity – I think they’re a great all rounder. The build quality is tough and durable with a light and flexible headband and big comfortable earcups. The mic is flexible and positionable, and mutes when you flip it up. Ok, so I’ve found it can distort a little when you raise your voice, but otherwise the quality is good. There’s also a simple in-line volume control on the long 2m detachable cable so you can easily adjust volume mid-game. For a gaming headset I think they offer refreshingly balanced sound. Everything sounds clear and undistorted with Astro resisting the temptation to let the bass overpower the rest of the range. I’ve had A10s before, and really, I think they’re the sort of headset that you can’t go far wrong with. They work with pretty much everything, they’re robust and they sound good.
