My hair has been thinning and started falling out recently, not any bring major or sudden but gradual hair loss probably due to stress and living a hectic life of a young professional.Initially I bought the liquid alongside the shampoo as from reading previous reviews it was implied that this was the best course of treatment for this particular product.I used the whole bottle of the shampoo, and the liquid after my showers. I did notice that my hair didn't fall as much as it used to, and it certainly did feel more fuller and it honestly has gotten stronger and doesn't feel so corse or limp.However, the shampoo used to make my hair feel a bit dry so I discontinued the use of it.

Lets be clear, the only real product out there proven to regrow hair is minoxidol, the bad news is that has bad side effects including limiting your libido and ageing the face. Caffeine has been shown in vitro to regrow follicles but that doesn't translate into meaning the same thing will happen on a human head, there is no evidence outside of anecdotal for that. However it does show that caffeine has the potential to slow hair loss if that caffeine can be delivered to the hair root. That's where some people miss the point, splashing caffeine on your head isn't going to do a thing, the product has to be able to get it into the hair root. Alpecin claim to have a mechanism for doing this,

Ok, first review on Amazon so going to look dubious!I started using this product over 3 years ago. I've got diffuse thinning blond hair, thinning very gradually and I'm in my 40's. I've tried most products except propecia, with no visible results. Minoxidil made my eyes puffy in 2 weeks very scary, but I've heard thats the one to use with propecia.....puffy eyes and no sex drive, think I'll pass!So over the 3 years I've used this product I've stopped and started tried other things etc, but always come back to it, because I personally think theres something in it.Is it going to give you a mane of hair, no, does it grow hair, I don't think so, does it make your hair feel better,

Maaaaaaan let me tell you all something. I'm a 21 year old woman and during my years at uni I realised my hair was falling out significantly (I'm talking chunks). I was losing so much hair that my parting was noticeably wider, my hairline started receding and it was overall ridiculously thinner than it was. Everyone would tell me how I was basically starting to go bald. It was making me depressed and I heard about this liquid a while back but only recently I decided to give it a go. I was thrown off by the price of it as well as how much it gives you. The liquid stinks like aftershave, and makes me feel like a lesbian whenever I wear it. And it's quite hard to apply since I have long hair.

I know its early stages yet but I have to post how happy I am with this product...I recently have been finding that when I have been styling my hair in the mornings that I have a clump of hair in my hand after running it through So I came across Alcepin Liquid and only after two days of using it in the morning I have no hair comming away in my hand and my hair realy does have a fuller look to it I have to admit I was going a little bald on top :)and so can vouch for its effectiveness (but Ive been reliably told that best results will be in 3 to 4 months of using) ...However this product do not regrow new hair it just strengthens it you my need another product for that like Regane or the like ...

I cannot say whether or not this helps to stimulate hair grow as I have a pretty good head of hair but must say it is thinning a little at the front so I might now start to use it for the intended purpose. HOWEVER, if you suffer from headaches this is a must. Every time I have a bad headache I wash my hair and then really massage this liquid in (just a couple of squirts) and within seconds it gives the most powerful cooling sensation which really tingles and it really does get into the scalp and gets rid of my headache FAST. You need to take care not to let it run into your eyes or rub your eyes without washing your hands. Again,

This is a great product that leaves your hair feeling soft. There is however a strong fragrance to it which may not be to everyone's liking. But the after shampoo liquid leaves a cool feeling to the scalp which is kind of weird at first but I do like the effect.It also stops the hair from falling, since its use I have not had any hair fall but I'm not entirely certain if this is from the Alpecin Shampoo I use or this after shampoo liquid. Either way purchase without hesitation as you are wide awake in the morning once it sinks into your scalp. I guess the same as having a coffee.Overall very pleased and I have since order a few bottles of this stuff.

I use it along with other hair loss treatment products (diet supplements, shampoos, conditioners, oils) and after a month my hair stopped falling out. After a long course of antibiotics and hospital treatment it fell out in handfuls for over 3 months, when I washed it I'd collect three handfuls of hair and my clothes were full of hair. It was very depressing. Now it's maybe 50 hairs a day which is normal for healthy hair. Something is working and I'm sure Alpecin plays its part. It has also helped me to deal with itchy scalp, I can feel it work, I like the fresh tingly sensation it leaves on my scalp. It doesn't leave your hair greasy,

Great value for money!I think this will last for ages for my husband. Bought this as he is thinning a bit and has been using the shampoo for ages so decided he needs to take more care of himself, he loves it!He said it isn’t greasy and it does smell nice and (best of all) it works! I don’t know about reducing hair loss ect. But it certainly makes your hair seem thicker and that is a huge win and a big thumbs up from hubby and I. I think this is one of those ‘over time’ items you can’t tell immediately, that said it does help thicken hair so until it helps to reduce the hair loss that’s a huge bonus! :)

Im using this with the shampoo although only a week my hair is defiantly showing New growth and thicker and I have a number one haircut at present until it thickens enough to grow again . I assume it is this helping.time will tell .I've had hair loss due to health probs.i will post a picture if my thin bits fill in again because it can only be due to this that it does..it does burn when applied but don't panic .you can feel it in your hair folicals which is good cause of they were dead you wouldn't .ive uploaded some as my hair is now.will update as i go

Came across this product by chance, I now subscribe through amazon for regular deliveries (each bottle lasts about 2 months). Started using this about a year ago and now feel lost without it. As brushing your teeth freshens your mouth this does the same for your head, I feel my hair is stronger and no longer cover the towel after a shower. I use a regular anti dandruff shampoo (supermarket brand) then put this on after drying, great stuff and wakes up you head! I would have given 5* however it doesn't get rid of grey or grow hair back :-(

Using this liquid alongside the shampoo, certainly leaves a cool tingling feeling if you apply it all over. Both products (not sure which one is doing the best) has definitely reduced my level of hair loss, although it hasn't completely stopped. Leaves my hair appearing thicker, which is good as I have naturally fine hair.Only downside is it's hard to apply without it running down your face, and even using it in small doses to the main areas needed (hairline and crown area) it does seem to get used up pretty fast!

I have used this for 6 weeks now and I had a slight thinning on the front. It has thickened the hair and mostly hidden the thinning. If you are any more then a slight thinning this stuff isn't going to grow new hair on a bald head. It does appear to allow the hair to recover and thicken up and that of course means you need hair in the first place. And the key is I have used it morning and night EVERY single day. Small amount in the hands and work into the hair for a minute or two. Smells great and dries quickly.

This product is easy to use, I use a plastic syringe (from the chemist) and drop 1ml on the top of my head each day. Any help with thinning hair is welcome, I have yet to see long terms results, I also use the alpecin shampoo, which is good. I have read in clinical trials that caffeine protects the hair follicles from DHT, but getting it into the scalp is the important thing, so it reaches the roots. I am happy to keep on with this, the liquid is none greasy and does not affect styling your hair.

I don't know why I didn't expect it to be so liquid-y.. but it's a good thing it is.. coz it penetrates the scalp amazingly and I saw significant hair growth from using it. It also meant that my hair wasn't feeling dirty from oil! Perfect. The only bad thing I have to say is that it gave me a migraine so bad, I passed out (but that may be because I'm sensitive to caffeine). So if caffeine gives you negative health side effects.. Use with caution or avoid. But it works :)
