Aaaaaaaargh!!!!!I loved my Saturn, I really did, then I fell for the PS1 marketing bobbins and sold it to buy a PS1. Yes, I am a terrible person. I had one of the first ones in the UK back in 1995 and as such it came with the larger mk1 pads that had microswitches in the shoulder buttons and a general air of solidity. I bought a Retro-Bit Saturn pad because my 360 Mad Catz SF4 pad is on its last legs and standard xbox and ps controllers are terrible for 6 button fighters and, well, I basically suck at using an arcade stick ( I have a 360 Mad Catz SF4 TE stick which is all kinds of Seimitsu and Sanwa microswitched awesomeness but I'm crap with it...) I'm a smidge disappointed with this pad to be honest.I wanted it to have a reassuring weight to it like (I remember) the OG ones to have but it turns out that it feels a little, well, cheap in all honesty. I suppose it's only £17 or whatever and, yes, it does work well on the few games I've tried it on but there are no microswitches on the shoulder buttons (boo) and the buttons and d-pad rattle around more than I remember them doing back in 1995. I can still pull off dragon punches and super moves with it though so it's not all bad. The d-pad is nowhere near as squishy as the Mad Catz SF4 pad either, which is nice.A plus point is that the d-pad is recognised as the left analogue stick on a pc rather than the digital pad like you'd expect- this is good for pc Raiden III because for some stupid reason the config on that game doesn't recognise the d-pad, just the left analogue stick (and what kind of numb-thumbed monster uses an analogue stick on a shoot 'em up? Eh? Who even does that?)TL:DRNowhere near as solid as the OG Saturn pads but still good for shoot 'em ups and 6 button fighters.edit- I opened it up and there was a tiny bit of moulding flash on the 'down' bit of the plastic dpad actuator, once I removed that the dpad felt much more even in all directions, previously it felt less positive going left than in the other three directions. I'd recommend this pad but be prepared to do a little open pad surgery on it.

Works great on a pc or raspberry pie system. Not to hard to setup. Hold start button for 6 seconds to change to direct input mode and the same to change back to 6 button sega config. Long lead and feels solid and plays as great as an original Saturn MK2 pad

Have not suffered any of the issues as detailed in other reviews. Works well and built is great. Works well on my PC, Mega drive mini (left shoulder button brings up menu) and Ps3.My second retrobit purchase and am very impressed!

The cable is about 100ft long but the buttons are responsive and works great on emulators - I'm playing fighters megamix on yaba sanshiro now
