This review is of the “Mini Half-Strip stapler” which is only available in black at the time of writing (there are three different types of stapler being sold on this web page).-----------------------------------I wasn’t going to take photos of this but feel compelled to because it is so good.I have never seen a stapler as small as this one. It is so small that it fits comfortably into the palm of your hand (see photo 1). As a result, it is perfect for my briefcase which is where I keep it.My experience of staplers is that small ones are awful because they are unreliable – I find that they do not staple properly, i.e. one of the “legs” (which gets folded over after piercing the paper)either doesn’t pierce the paper or folds the wrong way after piercing it. That doesn’t happen with this - it punches through paper fine. The seller claims that it is suitable for stapling up to 20 pages - I took that to be a challenge. I tested it on 10 pages and it stapled them together fine (photo 2). I then folded those pages in two so I had 20 pages and stapled them – again, it worked fine (photo 3). Photo 4 shows the rear of the paper – the staples pierced the paper without any difficulty.Incidentally, I was using Rapesco 26/6mm staples (photo 5). This stapler takes both 26/6mm and 24/6mm staples. I tell you in case you use the latter and it does not perform so well.Photos 6 & 7 show you how tiny this stapler is.It is a top-loading stapler (photo 8).One thing I like is that it takes one strip of staples at a time (i.e. one unbroken strip from the box in photo 5). Often I find that staplers take more than one strip but less than two, which means that I get left with half-strips in the box.I shouldn’t be so happy about a mere stapler but just when I decided it was superb – ideal for my briefcase – it got better because I discovered that it also has hidden storage for one spare strip of staples. These are underneath, behind a transparent flap (photos 9-10).The icing on the cake is that at the time of writing, the price is £3.45.Superb.

As a lecturer I burn through a lot of staplers and hole punches - when I create handouts for my students - OFSTED insist that all handouts should be hole punched and stapled whether the students want them to be or not.Normally I use Rexel as they have a good reputation for the quality of their office equipment, but I have to admit that I like this Rapesco stapler. This is not a heavy duty stapler but will be a good one to staple the Government demanded (and mostly unnecessary) paperwork together. It feels well made and quite sturdy, bit of course only time will tell as to whether or not this will last as long (or longer than) my Rexel one.Loading the staples is easy.It has a rubberish foot that helps stop the stapler from sliding when you are stapling. The company claim that this can staple up to 20 pages but I wouldn’t like to make a habit of this as it would probably end up in the stapler afterlife with previous occupants of the desk drawer.I have to admit that it is nice looking stapler and I am loathed to take it into work with me in case it should wander off with one of my colleagues.

This is a good sturdy mini hand sized stapler, perfect for personal office use or in home use. My husband is a teacher and this came in handy as the stapler he had been using had broken and he was marking work that required being stapled together. It easily went through several sheets of paper with the staples (that were also generously supplied with my review product, but usually available separately). It boasts of 20 sheet capacity, but I did not have need to staple this many papers, but my husband did staple up to 12 sheets and it went through them with no problem at all.To place the staples in the stapler, you gently pull up the top half of the stapler to open it and a spring slides back.Place a row of staples into the slot and then as you close the top back down the spring slides back to hold the staples in place. Gently press down the top of the stapler until it clicks back into place.Simple slide paper in under the front of the stapler and firmly squeeze or press down on the stapler to release the staple into the paper and it secures your paper with ease.

This little stapler is a useful addition to anyone's stationery drawer, although not decorative or brash, it does the job andd saves on space that larger versions use. It's perfect for light-medium use whether that be a teacher or student's pencil case or an average home office but I can't see it handling long term the demands of a repographics or administrative office mostly due to its size and the need for industrial efforts there!A top loader rather than slide out drawers (thank goodness I hate lining up the slidey ones!) a dome-shaped head and a rubberised grippy bottom make this an ergonomic stapler to use preventing slipping and or bruising/pain from repetitive stapling.Overall an excellentlittle stapler at a bargain price that will be perfect for the average user though heavy users would be inclined to invest elsewhere.

I don’t like small staplers: they require more effort to use and are hard to pull apart and refill. This one is ok, it’s better than the cheap, often unbranded, ones that constantly stick and have sharp edges. It does work, though if I was doing a lot of stapling I’d want a better, larger, one with an easier action. This does require more force to staple than those with a longer stapling arm and is quite fiddly to pull apart to reload, so it’s not something you’d want to give to anyone with dexterity issues. The small size, light weight and little drawer in the base to store another strip of staples make this ideal if you’re mobile and need a small stapler complete with spare staples to put in your case.If you have the room for a bigger one, buy that instead though as it’ll be much easier to use.

At around 4” or 10cm in length this stapler from Rapesco is not too small but is still compact enough not to take up too much space on a desk or in a drawer. It is the traditional style of stapler which opens up allowing the staples to be inserted into the tray, and the anvil can also be turned to allow either turned in or out stapling. It features a handy storage slot underneath the stapler which holds an extra strip of staples so that you don’t get caught out, and is made from strong metal parts with a plastic handle and a very good rubberised base which helps to keep it stable when using it on desks or in the hand. It certainly feels well-made and I was pleasantly surprised to note that it comes with a 15 year warranty, but most importantly it’s good to use and works very well.

You can get staple guns for next to nothing in the discount shops and they work. You can get the staples there as well. So why pay this price for such a simple thing? Rapesco are a well known brand who have been making these things for years. That says something. As soon as you take the machine out of the box you notice that it's solid and well put together. It works with a reassuring mechanical click and, so far, mine hasn't jammed or caused any problem at all.So, the moral seems to be - you get what you pay for! If you want a flimsy piece of kit that jams and falls apart, you know where to go. If you want something that will last and is, in my view, good value, then this is the one for you.Experience to date is that in a domestic situation it will last for years.

I saw this stapler and thought why not. When it was delivered I was very surprised at just how sturdy it is . I tried it on a piece of a4 paper doubling and redoubling to make the equivalent of 2,4 ,8 and 16 pages . In all honesty I really did not expect it to work but it did seemlesly. The most I have a need to staple together is nothiing like 16 sheets .So I would say for home use it is just the job. This new stapler needed no effort to staple the 16 thicknesses together perfectly.I have a stapler that is a lot bigger but will not work every time on even just two or three sheets and even then I have to give it a good dunt for it to go through more.It jams or flattens the staple most times which is driving me nuts - It is now for the bucket .

There's not much you can write about a stapler beyond that it does the job it's designed for and is pretty robust so should do that job for a few years and comes with a 15 year guarantee. This stapler will effortlessly staple 20 sheets of 80gsm paper with little fuss. I used it on a stack of handouts I was preparing for a number of training sessions, and did not have one misfire in stapling 100 lots of 17 pages. The stapler uses 6mm staples (Either 26 or 24 gauge) if you try to use 8mm or 10mm staples you'll end up with too much staple and considerable fold over plus they won't fit right in the stapler anyway and may jam. Really good stapler. The plate in the base that bends the staple can be set to fold in or out just by simply rotating it.

This is a small lightweight top loading stapler that works well and seems to efficiently deal with 15-20 sheet, unless you find it difficult to apply standard pressure it is very easy to use. We use staplers on a regular basis for holiday clubs with primary age children and it is a great choice to purchase a few with it being small and compact, thus is is easy to store, plus at this price it seems good value. It would also be handy to put in a briefcase or computer bag to have handy at meetings.

A brilliant little stapler. Smaller staplers are so often made flimsily but this is made to the same quality and sturdiness you get with larger Rapesco desk staplers. Can use it continually without having to fiddle around sorting it, and durable enough to take some punishment (the top being solidly built and the base encased in a rubbery plastic).Bonus points for the the fact the base has a slot that flips open to store the other half strip of staples.

I love this stapler, it's small and compact, just 10cm long but it's quite a heavy solid little beast, a reassuring handful.I love that it has a cute little staple storage area built in to the underside with a clear plastic cover, so you always have a spare strip of staples to hand. It comfortably attaches 10 sheets, and can cope with up to 20, for more than this you'll need a bigger stapler, but for everyday use, this is just perfect.

It’s a great little stapler. I was disappointed as the item and the packaging states that it comes preloaded with staples. The package wasn’t sealed and wasn’t preloaded with staples. I’m pleased I bought a box of 5000 at the same time. In the past I wouldn’t have, but do keep getting caught out buying online.Edit: My 10 year old son found the staples in a little plastic compartment in the bottom. I’m sorry!

A reasonably priced mini Rapesco stapler - with a small supply of staples in the base.It works fine when stapling 12-15 sheets of lightweight paper. Any more than that and the staples fold and collapse - potentially clogging the mechanism. The device works fine for my home office purposes - so I have no complaints! I did also buy the Rapesco "ECO" model as a spare. They function identically.

Very handy, excellent quality little stapler that's clearly designed for portability- fits easily into a school or office bag, even a jacket pocket, no problem. Usual Rapesco reliability, does the jobs perfectly. Really like the little compartment in the base too to store a strip of staples so when out and about, you have a back-up. Excellent design. Love it.
