The base is 14.6cm long (ignoring the instep contour) and width is 8.2cm. The height is 9.9cm at the highest point. The base has 4 circular foam pads at the corners to stop it slipping when in use. So far I have used it to sucessfully staple upto 6 sheets of 90gm^2 A4 paper. The batteries are inserted at the base, the cover simply clips into and out of place when the lever is pressed. The unit requires 4 AA batteries.Staples are loaded into the tray which ejects when the button on the top of the unit is presses. The tray is loaded with 26/6 or 24/6 staples. The stapler ejection area is well guared from small prying fingers of infants or inquisitive adults.A small swtich is pressed in when the paper is stapled and the gap is too small to get a finger in.The main advantage is that when stapling many tims a day it is easy to leave the stapler on the desk and feed the paper towards it. I can only descbibe the sound as effortless mechanical silence. The size is not a disadvantage becasue it is designed to sit on the desk so I must say it is that it does not have an inbuilt mains unit for dc operation which woulde be useful if the batteries run out, however I use rechargable batteries and recharge them every fortnight.I suggest using coloured staples to complement the colourful design of this product.

My family bought me this for a present because I'm an engineer and I love gadgets. So if you know someone who is an engineer and loves gadgets, or indeed anyone who likes quirky things, this is a perfect gift. Kids also LOVE playing with it, but beware, anything vaguely papery in your house will be stapled within a very short period of time.So yes! You can staple paper, AND see all the electro-mechanical bits working whilst you do it. What's not to like?At first, I was a little concerned that function had been sacrificed for the sake of gadgetry, but not at all. To fill the stapler with staples (it takes standard 26/6 size staples), you press the button on the top and the cartridge ejects for easy loading. Then insert 4 x AA batteries (not included) and you are good to go.To operate, you simply push the pieces of paper you want to staple, into the gap, and the sensors automatically cause the mechanism to close. I have included a video for you because it is easier to see rather than explain. The only downside to this stapler, is that it doesn't like stapling too many pieces of paper. I would probably go with 10 sheets of 80gsm max, otherwise the mechanism jams.

This item may look like a toy, but it is as good, if not better than any other heavy duty electric stapler, some which can cost hundreds of pounds. The costs is absolute amazing the same price as a decent manual stapler. One good feature is the size of the gap, where you put the paper in is very small I tested the gap with my 2 year old son with no batteries in, and his finger could not get inside the gap.Pros1) Price.2) Quality.3) No effort needed you can staple hundreds of 2-20 sheets together all day long.4) Small stapling gap to prevent a child's finger starting the stapler.cons1) loud.2) Bulky.3) It takes some time adjusting to the small stapling gap.4)No on off switch.Despite it's flaws I am giving it 5 stars based upon the price you would be hard pressed to find an item this good at this price.

OK, I have a weird thing about staplers, and I like my staples to be properly inserted without any snagging protrusions or having the staple all crunched up with only one leg coming through to the other side. This is a largish electrically-operated Rube Goldberg style machine that reliably staples even thick stacks of paper. This is one stapler that your colleagues won't steal from your desk. Some things to note:- If you are stapling just two sheets of paper, you have to keep the paper flat against the base- The staples end up further from the corner than I would put them if I was doing it by hand.- You can't reach into the middle of a sheet to staple things (e.g. Taxi receipts for an expense report)But who cares? This thing is pure fun and handles the thick jobs with grace and precision.

This would have been 5 stars but the picture of the one ordered (bright red) is a totally different colour to that supplied.I bought this as a replacement for my 9-year old version which suffered terminal "joint" failure - the plastic parts disintegrated but it had been well used. From the few days of using the new one I have every reason to feel that it will give same years of stapling although admittedly it gets used less than of old. Very easy to use one-handed for a few pieces of paper which makes life a little easier. The batteries I have put in the new stapler were those from the old one & to give an indication of how well they last, this is the second set of 4 over the last 9 years.Bought originally as a "Boys Toys" it has turned out to be a very usable asset.Keith

As my grandchildren liked my stapler so much, I bought them one each. Unfortunately, the two I received were of the same colour so, my stapler was passed on to my Grand-son and my Grand-daughter got one of the new ones with me taking the other new one. IT WOULD BE VERY USEFUL IF IT COULD BE SPECIFIED, ON THE ORDER, THAT DIFFERENT COLOURS WERE REQUIRED! I understand that it is not possible to request specific colours. The product is good and reliable plus, for children, good fun to use since they can see the mechanism operating. It is well designed with the hammer and anvil well protected to prevent little fingers becoming stapled but, would not trust very tiny fingers near it - just as with any stapler - even a manual type.My products arrived well packed and in resonable time.

Surprisingly effective. Bought to replace one I broke. It is not a very robust machine, and it will not staple many sheets at one pass. It only has a reach of maybe 9mm, whereas manual staplers, especially those with a long arm, are better for some tasks. However, it allows you to use both hands to hold the papers and it is a lot faster and less effort than using a conventional stapler, where you hold all the paper in one hand and then have to position the stapler and use physical force. I can assemble and staple around 250-350 sets of paper in an hour. I can also do one-offs with one hand at arms length; just push the papers into the machine. It is big enough not to lose it on a disorganised desk!It is also good fun; lots of colour and automated moving parts.

I bought my Wizard Stapler when I was at work, and I retired over 11 years ago. It is such fun to look at, which is the main reason I bought it. Work wasn't a happy place and I thought it would cheer me up - which it did. However, somewhat to my surprise it has to be said, it also worked also superbly well. A very practical product. It's tougher than it looks. Although suffering damage at the hands of one of my grandchildren 4 years ago, I taped it up and it carried on working as before. Sadly it has now come to the end of its days, with bits of plastic disintegrating. However, I have ordered another one. I cannot recommend this product highly enough. And no,I am not on commission!

We just needed an electronic stapler so the price of this was very attractive, simple to use, we also ordered the staples to go with it to save searching around locally for some, they were easy to install. It may look like a bit of plastic meccano bolted together but it works! and appears to be very robust, time will tell but at the moment it is working well and aesthetics aside, does the job it was made for and at a very good price. Anyone struggling with a manual stapler should give this a go, it handles a lot of sheets at a time without any hesitation. Recommended.

Rexel Electronic Stapler:-I have been buying this product for many years now and they have adorned my shops and home ever since as one of the most useful inventions ever created. Never cease to amaze customers and friends alike. I even bought one for my 4 year old Grandson. I love `em.Every office and home should have one. In our current shop every member of staff has one on their desk, one by the till for stapling card receipts to invoices one by the fax machine. No scrabbling in drawers they sit prettily on the desktop.( bought at Amazon )

Bizarre though it might seem, I find this colourful gadget almost indispensible. The current colour schemes are, in my view, less eye-catching than earlier models - the old one was primarily yellow. Some of the colour combinations for the new ones are actually rather dull, which I find isn't consistent with the multi-coloured philosophy. It's a pity that you cannot specify which of the colour schemes you prefer when ordering. Also be advised: the first 'replacement' just wouldn't work, but the second has arrived soon after and works!!

I bought this because I have arthritic hands, so it is good to have an electric one as I have a lot of stapling to do. However, when it came, I couldn't get into it! I tried with scissors etc and eventually had to get help. Still caused some difficulty even to the young and strong! Surely many people must buy this for the same reason that I did, and it is very frustrating, when looking forward to using it, not to be able to get into it. Packaging is not at all eco friendly, anyway. I know it must be secure, but there must be other ways!

Got this for my works customer counter, no end of fun watching people work up to ask for a go/ demo.Works well to, the only small flaw i can mention is that the jaw depth, (as you insert the paper) is only about 1 cm so it staples close to the edge & as our invoices are perforated it can somtimes need restapling. More play time for the lads.Would love it to make a good thumping sound when triggerd but hey ho, it's no end of fun as is.Totally worth getting in my view. Just need a reason to get the hole punch

This product is fantastic. I've had mine for over 10 years, and is only slightly playing up now because I dropped it (Once too many times over the years I think)It is effortless to use, simply leaving it on the desk and feeding your paper into it. Batteries last for ages and it very rarely jams. It will staple 20 pages with ease. and struggles slightly with 25. If it does jam, usually cos I've put too many sheets in, simply press the eject button on the top and it is easy to sort out. It's first class. Majic

A great gadget. I thought my Staple Wizard had broken. I ordered a new one. It did not work as I had inserted the batteries from the 'broken' one. I put in new batteries into the new Wizard and it worked. I put new batteries into the 'broken' Wizard and it worked! They are such terrific machines that I shall probably give the new one to a friend as a gift. Be aware if your Wizard will not work it is probably that the batteries have been used up for which there is no other visible signal as far as I can tell.
