This is a remarkable item. Initially they were sold as a "6 sheet" stapler. However, it now says "5 sheets" when you receive it. But I have found that with four sheets it sometimes has some resistance and can OCCASIONALLY tear sometimes. That's the ONLY reason I have taken one star off it. And that's certainly not taking anything away from this amazing item.If you have, for example, a four page application form, or any other form which has to be pristine, I would advise stapling FIRST just incase there is, by chance, any tearing. After all, you don't really want to spend hours filling the application form out only to have to do it again. I practised on a four-page application form (of which I had several spare copies)and it DID tear slightly. The second time, it didn't. So, becareful with delicate items. But, even NORMAL staplers are not 100% effective the entire time. For photo papers, or things of similar thickness, it is certainly NOT designed.I usually use a normal stapler for my two-page CV which I staple at the top left. However, I have tried this stapler on it and have done THREE joins. Top left, top right, and centre. And it looks amazing. Especially when you open the CV and see how well the sheets have attached. But, that is just MY method. One join will PROBABLY suffice. But it looks nicer with three, and there is less chance that the CV WILL come apart when an employer is reading it. Yes, you end up with three oval-type holes on your CV, but I would doubt that any employer would mark you down for this. Especially if THEY have to shred it at some point and they don't have a shredder that accepts METAL staples. After all, this can be shredded without that annoying thing of having to pick out the staples. It states eligible for free postage for £10 or over. I tried to order this with an item from ANOTHER seller and it came up as around £3.80 postage. So, instead of paying almost £10 for one stapler, I bought two for £12 and DID get free postage, and am giving one to someone who works as a job search advisor. And I'm sure she will find it very useful.TRY IT. I DOUBT YOU'LL REGRET IT

This is an amazing piece of kit that does 'staple' 5 or MAXIMUM 6 (with 7 you'll struggle to pull the paper out) sheet of paper as promised. It is easy to punch through and it makes a sort of cut where it hooks the paper itself. So it looks like it is knotting over the paper itself on the place where you normally have a staple. Fantastic if you send stuff by post as no metal is used. It's ingenious and it rightly won the Best Innovative product 2013 prize, which I did not know when I bought it. I cannot stop being amazed at how well it work. If you need more than 5-6 sheet you can sort of 'staple' 1-5 and then 'staple' again 5-10 just aside. It will keep the thing together decently. So I really manage to get 10-12 in the end. Worth the money, very solid and the paper punched off is kept in a small lower tray that you can pull apart when you need it emptied.Vorsprung durch technik really! :-) One must love German engineering.

What can I say, I've only had this a couple of days and I absolutely love it! It's the sort of 'lil' office widget' that I've been wanting (for far too long). No staples are needed, so no getting annoyed at finding that the 'last staple has already been used'. No power (other than a lighter touch that you'd need with a normal stapler) and no fuss. The operation is smooth, simple and easy (seriously, you can read the instructions if you feel the need). The only limitation is for those 'thinker' documents (the recommended maximum if 5 pages, but I've managed six pages of regular printer paper, no problem).Yup, Bank Letters (probably the thickest paper), Receipts (probably the thinnest paper I regularly have)are a breeze.I just wish that there was (next model?) an option to handle more sheets of paper at once. This little gem will have paid for itself in no time (oh, and I even like the bright colours!)

My two youngest daughters love arts and crafts and are always making little books and things, and with the youngest being just 4 years old we are always worried she is going to end up stapling herself or something she shouldn't be.With this, it punches a hole in the paper and folders the tab created by the whole back through a slit that it makes. It works really, really well and thanks to the small groovy to guide the paper there is no chance of fingers etc getting put inside. As it uses the paper it punches out to fold back to create a "paper staple" there is no mess produced by this either. The mechanism is pretty good,so there is very little effort required to punch the paper.Excellent item for smaller childrenPros- mess free- safe- does it's job flawlesslyCons- None

I bought a few of these staplers as gifts for children, mindful that metal staples are a danger and a nuisance when they run out. They were impressed, even a 5 year old immediately learned how to operate one as it does not need as much force as it is needed to plant and fold a metal staple through paper.Just keep in mind this model only clips five sheets together, which is adequate for most uses in school anyway and that it does bind the sheets almost irreversibly. I did not attempt to reverse the paper loop it creates, but I fear it would result in a tear. So only use for documents that you can replace if ripped.Otherwise small, light, compact, does not produce any waste and seems sturdy and capable to last a long time.Absolutely would recommend at such a low price!

I bought this stapler to cut down on waste - and to avoid the problem of running out of staples. This works well once you get the hang of it, though it can really only manage 2-3 pieces of paper. The 'staple' is reasonably sturdy if it's just paper that needs to stay together, but if its something you're going to flick through often then it will probably fall apart. Also, I quite often need to take assignments apart to mark them and then staple them back together to return them to students. You cannot easily re-'staple' pages with this. I find I use this to put pages together, and then a real stapler to return them to the students.Over all I am happy with the purchase because I have cut downon staple use and it does work well in its limited capacity.

As a teacher, I’ve found that I quickly run out of staples and that when it comes to shredding sensitive data it was always such a hassle if I had to remove staples first. This product solves both those problems. It is easy to use, but does take a little practice. I find that 3-5 pages is easy, with 2 I have to be careful as the folding mechanism does not seem to work as well. It does take a tiny bit longer using this on a whole-class set of handouts than a regular stapler, but I don’t mind this. It has become a an essential item in my teaching arsenal. The students find the folding mechanism fascinating and other teachers have been asking to try it!These should be used in all educational and office environments.

This is a very good product if you are thinking of stapling documents together and do not want the sharp staple clips. The build is quite sturdy. It works by punching a small hole on your paper document and folding it on itself which is pretty ingenious. However, you have a very tight limit of 2-5 papers per staple though. If you have something specific on mind, for example, you need to give <5 paged disposable paper copies to a huge number of people in your work or class everyday. This one will really fit the bill. The best paper to use for this would be the thinner ones as thicker paper types will even lessen the number of ?stapleable pages.

Sure it only staples up to 6 pages with any degree of assurity and the fastening isn't as good as a metal staple (as it states on the packaging)... However it's neat, never runs out (only the blades dull over time), looks really interesting on reports, nothing to remove before shredding and coupled with a paperclip works even better. This type is much sturdier than the cheapy oval ones, looks great on your desk and functions perfectly. Build quality is sound and comfortable to use over n over, the lever is much easier on the hands too. For no good reason the blue one was cheaper than the others (and at 6 quid) it is an absolute bargain.

I remember the first stapleless stapler and it folded 2 tabs back but would fall about shortly after woulds. This folds a single tab and slots it in to a small slit. I don't know how it does it but it's magic. probably made in diagon alley or something.I got it on sale for under four pounds so this made it an amazing purchase for me.But you do have to push the paper right back till it stops and push all the way down to make a clean cut and fasten.Anything else it will just fall apart. So no staples no batteries and no bits of paper on the floor. ingenious bit of kit and innovation. i love it. with i'd brought more.

I really love this little stapler! It's great for the kind of stapling I do, which is mostly fixing my feedback to the writing my students have given me. It is a lot less messy than the traditional stapler - and besides, I don't have to worry about sourcing more staples. For bigger jobs (seven pages plus) it's not the right piece of equipment, and it's also a little hard to use one-handed - it's better to put it on a stable surface and slowly press the lever down, especially since the wastepaper drawer is where your hand would be, and you can easily open this without meaning to.

What an excellent alternative to the more common metal staple staplers. I bought this on an Amazon deal of the day and I can say, initially, I was hesitant as to its capabilities before receiving but when it was delivered I quickly put it to use and was surprised at its efficiency. The way this staples is very clever, makes a small square hole and then tucks each tiny piece of paper inside itself. They show a photo of this on the web page but this is not as clear as it is when you do it yourself. The stapler has a good weight to it and is easy to operate. 5 stars for ingenuity.

This is super good if you happen to need to staple things frequently, like office working! Keep in mind that it's only good for a few sheets (rated for 5 or so I think) so if you need to staple a lot of pages together, probably use an actual metal stapler. Otherwise this is a fantastic alternative to needing to use wasteful metal staples for just two pages a time. It's easy to unpick the way it staples (it's a bit like a hole-punch that folds the pages through a little slot it adds) and you can fold the punched hole back down flat if you want to scan the document.

Don't get me wrong, this is a great product but there are a few things that stop it being perfect. You can get around all these problems and I would certainly recommend anyone buying one. It feels well made and really nice in either hand.1) The paper catch drawer can sometimes be opened upon stapling paper together, but with a bit of practice I stopped doing this :-)2) The stapler action needs the stapler to remain stationary to complete. You can't get snap happy like you can with a metal stapler, but again practice overcomes this too.

I bought the Plus Staple Free Stapler after seeing one at a member of my families home.Such a clever and practical idea. Basically you put the pieces of paper in and click. It cleverly punches through the papers and creates a tab that folds and secures the papers.I have used it on several different types and textures of paper without any difficulties. The stapler is well made and robust, with a good finish and excellent value for the price. No more routing round the back of the drawer looking for staples for me.Highly recommended.
